This card looks good to me.
It is probably not overpowered – far from it, one could say – which, for many players, I know, will automatically make it “garbage”, but I don’t think it is. It does have potential.
The real interesting thing about this Quest is that it requires little action from the player to complete. On one hand, having unspent Mana implies that your deck is slow, but on the other hand, it’s not something so uncommon when running a slower deck, which Druid has tools for.
On the other hand, though, the resulting Hero Power is powerful, but it (expectedly) lacks support. Just like Combo cards for Rogue, Choose One cards are few in Standard, and it’s even worse if you restrict the selection to GOOD Choose One cards – with this Hero Power, any Choose One card becomes good, of course, but what the rest of the time, when your quest is not completed ? They’re not that great and will probably leave you behind in the game if you try to push the synergy with this and run many Choose One cards, without room for any other relevant deck synergies.
It looks good on its own to me, but I don’t think a Choose One deck can really work well without the Hero Power which would cause you to try and complete the Quest as soon as possible, but on the other hand, it would you leave you very exposed to faster decks, for a reward that may not be worth it in the end.
I have mixed feelings about it. I like its design and idea, but I’m not sure there is enough support to make a deck around it. 3/5, maybe 4/5 if the devs push the synergy further in this expansion.
