Shadow of Death
It looks full of potential on the surface, but sadly as a committed Rogue I know it can be hard to find the time to reap benefits out of a card like this, no matter how good they may be. The same problem exists with Academic Espionage. Even though this one is much more consistent, it only shuffles 3 copies. Without significant synergy this is going to be a tempo loss that may expose Rogue to great risks. I’m unsure yet. I’d give it 3/5 for potential but as of its viability it is going to be a 2/5 for me unless we get some sort of support to make it work (in the draw, tempo or Hero durability departments that is).
Pharaoh Cat
I don’t know yet how useful Reborn is going to be for Rogue, but either way, this doesn’t look too bad to me. As a turn 1, it is not a bad card, even random value is very much fine if it comes as a virtually free price (1 mana and a 1/2 body). It can also serve as a combo activator. Its flexibility make it good enough for me : combo activation, early game body and potentially relevant value sounds good to me.
Pharaoh Cat
You do not yet know the full set regarding the Reborn mechanic. Therefore underrating a card like this one makes no sense. As far as I’m concerned, Rogue could get more Reborn support. In any case, a 1/2 minion for 1 mana that generates extra value can never be a 1/5, which is only to be used for the worst of worst cards – and there are a LOT of cards that are much less viable than one like this. Please look at the bigger picture before rating a card 1/5.
Micro Mummy
This minion is a nice addition to Emperor Wraps Paladin. It is rather cheap, will help with completion of the Quest, acts as a soft Taunt and improves friendly minions if left unchecked. It’s good, but not broken. And its Mech tag could be relevant too ! 5/5
Infested Goblin
This doesn’t look so bad, does it ? I don’t think it will be of much interest for Deathrattle Rogue, though. Taunt Warrior could like it however ! 3/5, maybe 4/5 depending on the reliability of Taunt-supporting tools.
Frightened Flunky
This card looks very good. A 2/2 body for 2 mana is more than enough if it comes with an interesting effect. Discovering a card is a significantly better effect than getting a random one. When you compare it with say, Hench-Clan Burglar, this card is cheaper and is comparatively more cost-efficient. It is easy to play and will be a reliable and effective tool in upcoming Taunt Warrior.
Excellent, would be broken if it was any better. 5/5
Wasteland Assassin
It looks cool. However, for most Heroes, it will be much too overcosted for any benefits they may reap from it. 5 mana for 4/2 body, even with Reborn, is poor, let alone very, very slow. The only reason you’d want to play this would be with particular synergy, of course, but I don’t expect anyone other than Paladins to seriously experiment with this card. Depending on the whole Reborn meta when the expansion goes live, it might be played with the main purpose of increasing the odds of obtaining Emperor Wraps as early as possible. Even in that context, I think it will remain a suboptimal card. At 4 mana, it would have been correct, maybe even good, but 5 mana is just too much. Let us see if this makes the cut in a Reborn deck, Stealth seems rather irrelevant for now cause anyway you wouldn’t want to keep that inactive for too long on the board. It does give it protection, though, which could prove useful, and it ressurects with it.
I still am unsure of how well it will perform.
1/5 out of Reborn decks ; 2/5 or maybe 3/5 depending on Reborn meta.
Into the Fray
I have not much to say about this, except it looks strong. +2/+2 is a relevant buff for 1 mana, especially if it improves two minions or more. Very cost-efficient card.
Mogu Cultist
I don’t see another class that could possibly pull this off other than Rogue, with the current cards that we have that is. Perhaps we will get more copy-effect additions that will make it possible. We’ll see. But I think Rogue will be the best class at it, for sure.
Anka, the Buried
Finally, a powerful card for Rogues ! It will be meta-dependent, but it is a powerful effect nonetheless, and its stats are not behind its mana cost. Its power can potentially be bonkers, and it still have 2 years in Standard where we might get interesting deathrattle minions. No matter what, it is a powerful legendary. 5/5
EVIL Recruiter
This card is very powerful. Its stats are on par with its cost and it bears a very threatening effect that could give early victory if left unanswered. What else could I give but a 5/5, I can’t find anything bad about this card.

We do have interesting cards, but they are few. You are backing me up on what I said about Burgle Rogue. However, I disagree that the Plague is uninteresting. It does have potential. You are complaining that it doesn’t affect the whole board – but it makes sense. Blizzard purposefully removed Vanish from Standard, they are not about to give Rogue any kind of strong AoE. They made it clear they did not want to have access to AoE. And also, Rogue doesn’t only get suboptimal cards. We do get these a lot – but you’re forgetting a few. Heistbaron Togwaggle to mention only him is pretty good, and original, with that.

I… don’t really see why any minion you’d get with this would be less “random” than a weapon or a spell. I mean. You could arguably say having the idea of specifically having a minion is neither less random nor more original than that of picking a weapon or spell, don’t you think ?
The Rush is a good idea though, but overall, I wouldn’t say this card is extremely original. I mean, in the Burgle pool of cards, it is, but my point is ; would have liked to see something else this time around. I’m pretty sure Blizzard has other stuff in preparation for us, but revealing this as the first card ? I dunno. It confuses me. I wouldn’t say the card lacks potential, though I am indeed unsure of how well it will perform. We’ll see.

Another reason I’m being harsh on it is that it is yet another burgle card. Yes it has Rush, yes it only picks minions, but when it comes down to it, it’s not very new. I never said that about any card before but for this once, I’m a bit disappointed in that regard.
I love it though. It’s just, the mana cost and absence of immediate effect is a big deal for Rogue, this is what I’m afraid of.
