Mass Resurrection
I think it’s that to prevent too many Maly/Velen combos. Thankfully.
Dragon Speaker
Hmmm interesting. Combines very well with the card that adds dragons to hand which also combines extremely well with Twilight Drake. Midrange dragon paladin incoming!
Khadgar
That combo with Power of creation. 10 mana for four 6 cost minions. 24 mana worth.
Heistbaron Togwaggle
Well this seems insanely strong. Does it fit into tempo rogue? Unsure.
Anaconda Mecha'thun Druid - Rastakhan 2nd Nerf - #22 Legend (Tyler)
Played against this last night. Opponent got down to the Anaconda, Mecha’thun and naturalize. I’d stopped playing minions.
Played the Anaconda first and probably could have just beaten me down, although he was taking a fair amount of fatigue at this stage. For some reason he played Mecha’thun the next turn and I just twisted nethered his board.
Fairly sure he would have beaten me had he just waited. As much as OTK decks frustrate me, I do like working out how to stop it.
Dragon Big Spell Mage - Rastakhan 2nd Nerf - #70 Legend (Ryvius)
Edit: or Lich King is an obvious choice..or even Ysera for the Dragon Synergy and value.
Dragon Big Spell Mage - Rastakhan 2nd Nerf - #70 Legend (Ryvius)
I’d probably go with Geddon for the late game swing with the DK
even voraxx buff paladin
And Lynessa.
Still the 1 mana hero power does make it a lot easier to have a dude on board to buff.
This does look like a cool deck.
Hakkar Paladin - Rastakhan 2nd Nerf (Firebat)
This deck looks amazing; I’m really hoping it’s still viable after the equality nerf.
The February Surprise: A Forward-Looking and Controversial Balance Update
I fail to see the logic behind the equality nerf. Paladin’s are one of the few control archetypes that are actually viable at the moment. I’m assuming they think that OTK Paladin is an issue, but that’s rotating out in a few months time. Plus it’s only a tier 2 deck. I realise even Paladin is tier 1 but I don’t exactly see it dominating standard….plus it loses Tarim and Steed at rotation.
Control paladin is a strong favourite with a lot of older players.
Liam Hakkar Paladin - Rastakhan Post-Nerf - Top 400 Legend (Thijs)
I’ve been wanting to try this deck for a while now so thank you for posting it. I’m just hoping that the equality nerf doesn’t affect it too badly.
All you need is Genn: Budget Even decks in Hearthstone's Rastakhan's Rumble
Can only speak for Kangor. I don’t think he’s absolutely needed for this deck or even paladin.
He’s a very good buff target and obvious synergy with corpsetaker.
That being said if you can on playing any kind of control paladin deck he’s brilliant. Even if you combine him with flash of light that’s a 1/2 divine shield heal for 8 and draw a card for 4 mana. With the loa you’re talking about a huge amount of healing.
He’s also one of those ‘kill me instantly or you lose’ cards against agro.
Also take into account he’s going to be in standard for ages (along with Shirvallah) and healing is always at a premium.
OTK Exodia Paladin - Rastakhan Post-Nerf - #3 Legend (Charon)
Ps. I’d swap a CTA for Crystology. Make sure you don’t play your CTA before you’ve got the youthful brewmaster in hand.
OTK Exodia Paladin - Rastakhan Post-Nerf - #3 Legend (Charon)
Zola is used to bounce one of the horsemen back into your hand. Just run a youthful brewmaster. The main reason people don’t run them is because CTA can pull them out which obviously you don’t want.
Hunter in Rastakhan's Rumble - Do We Need Another Nerf Patch?
I’d personally like to see a nerf to deadly shot so that it kills a random minion rather than a random enemy minnion. That card is nuts with Zul’jin.
Whilst I do think hunters are OP and there are far too many on ladder at the moment I don’t actually mind playing them. I enjoy playing around secrets and spells. As an almost exclusively control paladin player I make sure I have board clears and healing ready for their tempo plays.
Deathrattle Hunter usually crushes me but if I can get some immortal prelates with taunt going I stand a chance.
HEAL CONTROL PALADIN (rastakhan rumble)
I’d imagine that the prelates would be good inclusions for this deck…would give you a chance to take advantage of your massive amounts of sustain. It also works very well with Val’Anyr.
What's Warlock Losing in the 2019 Standard Hearthstone Rotation?
Yup. The amount of healing paladin has now means that uther isn’t really needed. Shirvallah + Crystal Smith =14 health.
That being said Steed is going to be a huge loss. I’d imagine we’ll see more of that 7 mana discover card.
What's Warlock Losing in the 2019 Standard Hearthstone Rotation?
For me Cubelock literally brought me back into H/s after seeing some videos of it on YouTube. I absolutely get and understand why it was so hated though; I only played it post nerf where it was (and still is) fairly balanced.
Recently I’ve gotten bored of control warlock and I sort of roll my eyes when I know I’m playing one; those fun ruiner decks just feel bad to go against.
Personally I’ve turned to playing control Paladin, and I imagine many others might do the same…although they also lose some massive cards for the next expansion.
I’d like to see either a revamped Jaraxxus or some cards to support him. I miss that dude.
Might Warlock be the next class to receive a new hero card?
At least it gives you a turn to clear the board and counter it. Big difference between one and two plus turn kill trust me. I was an Uther OTK player!
