Dragonqueen Alexstrasza
It’s actually pretty nice. Even if you get 2 Faerie Dragons at worst. That’s still a 9 Mana 14/12. 5 Stars.
Chenvaala
Imagine having Dragon Soul but as a Minion. 4 Stars though, because unlike Priest, it is proven that for Mage, Especially for Cyclone Mage, She would like to use a card like this.
Dragon Breeder
2 Mana 2/3 Better version of Youthful Brewmaster for Dragons? 5 Stars. Especially if you have something like Deathwing Mad Aspect, AND you calculated that he can survive his battlecry.
Scion of Ruin
Rember Omega Agent for Warlock? Image having a cheaper and better version of it. Pretty much. 5 Stars.
Chromatic Egg
I like it. They tried to pull out something much like Mechano Egg and Robosaur, but it’s for a Dragon Egg, and you don’t have a Tribe Text. Not even a Dragon Text. Discovering a Dragon means that you can fetch some of the more bigger bodies, (Arguably you are going to find an 8/8 on average, which is why players are rating it 3 stars, since they’ve kinda alright saw a card like this, but they just changed the flavour a little bit here and there.) but optimistically, you can still have the chance to hatch a 12/12 Body; Deathwing, or hatching into a usual Dragon, much like normal Ysera. That’s kinda the goal of what the Egg wanted to be. I Suppose Rouges could try it out and see how it goes, or perhaps druid, but our history of Eggs (Expect for Swamp Dragon Egg) has always been Negated at first, before power spiking like crazy, because they were able to cheat out the Deathrattle. So Obvious all is not lost for Chromatic Egg, but we just need some more tools to make it work. 3 Stars.
Abyssal Summoner
So you could argue otherwise that you want to use this with Vladris, but I’d say is just as good without it, or if your too late to play it and you just need a Demon Equal to your Hand size. And you need at least 5 Cards to be effective enough to use it since you’ll gain at the very least a +1/+1. I can see Controlocks out there averaging around 8 cards when they played this card, so to them it’s a 6 mana 10/10 body for them. Yes, a 6 Mana 2/2 is Hhorrendouse, but it’s just forcing you to play Handlock or Controlock. Even mid-range lock from time to time as well. Hearthstone learned their lesson with its counterpart; Spiteful Summoner and Astromancer, so if Mage can do it, why not Warlock? I think 4 stars is reasonable enough, just becuase Astromancer was a 7 Mana 5/5, and for 1 less Mana, your losing -3/-3 in Stats, but gain a Demon Tribe that also has Taunt, and Warlocks are giving it enough praise as it is as well. Otherwise we would have been Critical with this card and say that it was Trash, or we would say that it’s just a later version of Twilight Drake.
Valdris Felgorge
Okay, what is even going on anymore. This is still really cool by the way, and the first card ever that goes above the standard threshold for cards, on top of that it’s a Sprint with a free 4/4 body. Yeah, who wouldn’t want to play this, even for some of the faster Warlock decks out there? 5 Stars.
Flik Skyshiv
A 6 Mana 4/4 that Not only doesn’t like 2 copies of a Card, but I’m assuming also copies of Desert Hare making 2 copies of itself, or when Mech dies and it makes Microbots for example. And if that’s the case, then Flik Skyshiv is ALSO an Anti Togwaggle card. Because in my eyes, I could have just easily just take Galakrond, then using Kronx for the Devastation, and then making copies of Kronx with Togwaggle’s Scheme, and I’ll just have nothing but Dragonhooves for the rest of the game.
Now Rouges have to be more careful when they are facing up against themselves. This is also a Warning shot against Khagar Mage, which has been one of the biggest problems have to deal with, thanks to Mountain Giant into Conjuror’s Calling to make either copy of itself, or 2 Grave Horrors, and even more terrifying when it comes to also add in Khagar. Now I’m curious to see what will happen with spells that make copies of Minions, Especially with Twinspells such as Unleash the Beast, or THe FOrest’s Aid. The Minions will die, but what about the Spells themselves? Overall this is a really cool card for Rouge to use, And she will use Filk Skyshiv to it’s potential, even if they are just using it like a Vilespine Slayer. 5 Stars.
Sanctuary
2 Mana Sidequest: Can’t play against Druid, Hunter, Mage or Rogue in General.
So already this card has flaws because about 5 of Hearthstones’ Classes have some form of damage, especially with mage and hunter being able to go pass through your minions with their Hero Power. On the other hand, if that isn’t the case, a “2 Mana 3/6” is nice, but unlike Mage’s free 6/6 Body just for doing normal Mage Stuff, Paladin has to take No damage in General. So If you’re playing Sanctuary, your also pretty much forced to play Time Out! Now Granted, this isn’t always the case, even for Mage, and I guess we just have to play clever with Sanctuary up against some of the more slower classes of Hearthstone such as Control. They won’t always be able to spam their Hero Power just for the sake of stopping your sidequest at all costs, but it’s pretty much near possible against something like Midrange hunter, since he has just enough cards to be sustainable enough to handle some of what Control Decks have to offer, yet still find a way to deal 2 damage to the face.
Maybe there’s something that I’m completely missing since people are praising this card and I don’t see it (yet. I’m sure someone will reply and tell me a strat that I don’t know yet.) We’ll just have to experiment with what we can accomplish, or what future Expansion cards can give us, but right now, It’s looking like you’ll need Time Out! 2 Stars.
Zul'drak Ritualist
Eeeeeehhh… I like it. It’s interesting, to say the least. Assuming that the opponent will have at least 1 2 Attack minion, this is Arguable a 4 Mana 3/3 at the absolute worse and a 4 Mana 3/6 at the best. so It’s a 3 Mana 3/5. … Huh. Ooo-kay, maybe it’s not as good as I assume of it. Looks like we need to be more creative then that, because the Stats are really good, but the Drawback is what we want to draw and Cheat out, if possible. And as of right now, we don’t have any recruits other than Warrior, and a bit of Paladin here and there.
So I think the idea is that, To gain the full potential of Zuldrak Ritualist (Other than using it to destroy your opponent with Divine Spirits and Inner FIres or Topsy Turvy, It wants you to “solve it’s puzzle” by also getting rid of those minions. Purchase you use something like Mage with Flakmage and Playing a Secret. It’ll cost 9 Mana, sure, but You’d have a 3/2 that interacts with spirits and a “free” 3/9 body, because you got rid of those minions, making it a 9 mana… 6/11 with a taunt in terms of stats… Yeeeah… It’s … it’s alright. Like I said, It’s a card that we need to be creative with if we want the full potential. I can see this just being a filler card and then just calling it a day, but as of right now, I don’t think we have enough tools to make Zul’Drak work other than Priest. so 2 Stars Overall because I don’t think players will use it, but they will try and meme with it here and there.
Hot Air Balloon
It’s a Delayed Dire Mole but as a Mech. It’s an inverted Micro-bot. Boy is this card good if it can survive once, which is still pretty possible since even a 1 Mana 1/2 at the beginning of the game is pretty tough to beat. 4 Stars, I’m Pretty Optimistic. Maybe this is what Zilliax wanted this entire time but couldn’t find out what body he wanted.
Camouflaged Dirigible
It’s a really curious Card; Obviously to try and gain the benefit of Magnetic or Buffing your Mechs that are on the battlefield, so maybe something like Token Mech Druid would want to play this, for example. I think 4 Stars is fair enough because although we may not have a use for Camouflaged just yet, I wouldn’t be surprised if this card gets spammed because of a power spike of Mechs getting a Special Token buff, or gaining some kind of synergy. Although I would probably only play 1 card of this since I feel that it’s that Niche of a card at first like I said I wouldn’t be surprised if people go ham for this card and they love it so much, that they need to go for 2 copies.
Veranus
And people say that Multi-Shot was completely useless. You can do a Combo for 10 mana to at least Guarantee to kill 2 minions. And for once, we finally have a use for something like Rapid Fire, but we’re probably still going to be using Springpaws and Unleash the Hounds at best. Veranus can also really push Hunter to finally be a Control-y style card, where he could use Veranus to avoid a scary situation, as long as you have any minion or spell to deal at least 1 damage. They want to push the Envelope for Hunter to finally have the ability to play Control and not suck, instead of having Midrange as their version for Control Hunter (plenty of times). Going to give it 4 stars though, just because although I love the idea of this card, Hunters will feel like they have no idea where they can put this card since they aren’t used to playing control. But to those brave enough to explore and Experiment, those guys are going to have some fun for a potential new build for Hunter’s new Meta. (Although we still love Singleton Hunter.)
Kronx Dragonhoof
4 Mana 7/7 lol
5 Mana 5/5 that also gives you a 10/10 but somewhere in your deck Omegalul
Imagine having 6 Mana 14/14.
Imagine having a 6 Mana scarier Abyssal Enforcer. Or a Scarier Lifedrinker.
As for Domination, it’s interesting, to say the least, but probably the most niche but it doesn’t mean It’s useless. But you do need at least 4 other Minions alongside you to gain as much Value as the 8/8 Dragon with Taunt.
Yeah, this is getting 5 Stars. And someone like Rouges, because of Togwaggle’s Scheme, they want to abuse the crud out of Krox Dragonhoof. You thought N’Zoth Rogue was bad enough as it was? Wait until they whip out this bad boy.
Amber Watcher
A Dragon that gives Paladin some health. I’m going to be Ignore the Fact of something like Ice Barrier for example and focus more into thinking like Iron Hide, which was 1 Mana. So Amber Watch is giving you a decent 5 Mana Body, along with A Mana and a Half worth of Health. A pretty fair discount for Paladin, and It’ll be nice for some of the more slower paladins out there. 4 Stars. It just feels like another Rotten Applebaum, but faster and for Paladin. Oh and it’s a Dragon. It’s pretty Solid. Paladin likes this card.
Necrium Apothecary
So we heard that you wanted to play Rotspring, but Rotspring was too fringe of a card to use. So we decided to give you a “Rotspring” that also drew a Specific Card. Meaning that Rouge could go for some of the more creative yet wacky ideas that they could go for, such as a very memory idea with Necirum and Warbringer, but will VERY benefit for Hand Rouge for example. Or How about trying to play more Tempo instead? Well, now you can Fetch for something like a Loot Hoarder or a Thalnos to keep adding in Recycles. Now Granted that a 2/5 Body that has a Deathrattle is pretty awkward for rouges to try and pull off, but had Hearthstone try to make it tweak around the stats, say a 4/3 instead, then this card would be pretty strong. You could even pull off a threatening plan with the help of Mechanical whelp to drop a 7/7 for you, but it can be a Double-Edged Sword. Overall, It is a 4 Star Card at above average, but the pure creativity for this card is 6 Stars for Variety. You can do SO much with this card, despite wanting to delay the Deathrattle.
Nether Breath
Dragon Warlocks or Warlocks with a few dragons lying around are getting a better version fo Eviscerate of all things. Note that you don’t have to be a Dragon Warlock, as you can have a few legendary Dragons such as an Alexstrasza and a Ysera for example as Control Warlock and it could do the same amount of work as you wanted it to be. And same for someone like Zoo or Aggro Warlock. 5 Stars.
Galakrond, the Unbreakable
If Dr.Boom was annoying for the long run, then Galakrond should be for the imminent short turn. The idea of getting a free Heroic Strike for every time you get an Invoke or the idea of drawing 4 of your minions AND to give them all a free Blessings of Kings is Insane about of value. I feel like that there are some cases where Dr.Boom was nothing compared to what Galakrond the Unbrake is capable of, even if Galakrond is fairer. I feel like Dr.Boom was only there because it was just a Hero card that you could use and for its armour. 7 Armour for 7 Mana, and getting new hero powers for every turn is what was crazy about Dr Boom.
On the other hand, getting 23 Mana worth of value for 7 mana, compared to arguably speaking about 11-15 worth of value? It’s the reason why I would say that Unbreakable is better then Dr.Boom. If I could, I’d give it 6 stars, is that Crazy.
Instant 5 stars, even if it Draws itself. It doesn’t matter all that much for me. This is one of the missing pieces that I was looking for Hunter since I didn’t want to use Tracking unless I had legit no other choice if I was looking for a specific Card. I learned a lot from playing Midrange Beast Hunter, and one thing that I had learned (Other that I am going to miss Master’s Call when April is out) was that:
1.) Hunters just want to draw some cards and efficiently.
and
2.) Rush Minions are pretty dang good.
The Biggest problem was that Hunters just wanted to draw more cards in general, and because of this, they kinda had no choice but to play something like Tracking or Loot Hoarder. And having something like Hunter Gryphon is going to boost up Hunter’s Morale to play more cards like this: now already I can see the judgement of Highland Hunter just using this just to find Zilliax. But being able to find something like Springpaw, and especially in the early game is just as good.
For me, this is a key card that I was looking forward to but they made it even better, for my Midrange Beast Hunter, and now I’m able to not only draw a total of 8 cards but to also try and find my Rush Beast minions, which is one of Hunter’s biggest advantages. Rush minions are some of the strongest Key commands out there in Heartstone because you can have an imminent action, instead of waiting for your minion to wake up first. Overall even if players are going to use just find Zilliax and then calling it useless for a while, I, on the other hand, can finally live up to Zul’Jin’s Dream, and Drive him to go to maybe even reaching back to rank 10 or even further. I did it once, and I can do it again.
