Dragonrider Talritha
Oh yeah, that’s right! You can get Reborn! I completely forgot about that! What an Evil Genius idea!
Clear the Way
Instant 5 Stars. This is Ridiculous for my Midrange Beast Hunter, especially for when I depend so much on my Rush Beast Cards, such as Springpaw and Vicious Scalehide of all things, especially my all-time favourite: Unleash the Best (which summons a 5/5 Beast with Rush AND it has twin spell.)
I feel like Hunters just don’t truly understand on what it’s like to have a minion to give you an imminent response for whenever there is a threat happening because almost every hunter I saw was Mech Hunter. Somewhere down the line is where I’m doing to see Clear the Way to be a popular card, because of how much of a power spike it can give you, just for 1 mana. The Response is delayed, sure, but you’re usually going to be focusing on the later or more important minions that your opponent is going to play anyways.
Secure the Deck
Miracle Druid perhaps? Who knows. All that we know is that this Sidequest is very interesting, to say the least. It could also be used for Hand Druid (If that’s still a thing.) Or if they wanted to make their version for a flexible ‘Weapon’ but they just came up with 3 1 mana spells instead. For once, I might think that because of this sidequest, Savage Striker could be a consideration now. Maybe Savage Strike can finally get some praise. Either that, or you just use this side quest just to draw 3 cards and whack someone with 6 and have 6 armor, but it’s still there.
Overall 4 Stars though, becuase I am curious as to see how Druids will think about this card.
Shu'ma
It’s Hir’eek the Bat 2.0., except it’s Neutral. TL;DR still 1 Star.
Now, the biggest problem for Hir’eek was that Warlocks weren’t for their Buffing, that was more to do with someone like Paladin’s or Priest Job to do that for example. With that said, as it is, as a 7 Mana worse version of Onixia, yeah it’s a pretty terrible card. However, if you can somehow keep this card alive from your opponent’s turn at least once is where Shu’ma starts to shine. Someone like Quest Druid could have an interest in shu’ ma (of all things, yes.) because of his ability to use Both of his Choose one cards., and his ability to buff Shu’Ma Health. I would say the same for Priest, but so far all they card about is Whacking you for 28 Damage, with that much health. Paladin could pull this off, because of something like Sand Breathe and Glowstone Technician, and the only thing that could benefit with Shu’ma from Warrior, is Pain warrior, where you use something like Inner Rage or Improve Morale, and then using Rampage, just to at least give it some sort of body. But you would be wasting so much fuel onto 1 minion that it’s not worth it. Freeze Mage COULD use it, but why would she bother, when she has so much Powerful Minions and 2 Blue-eyes White Dragons? Malygos the Aspect of Magic, and Kelegos.
And I guess Quest Hunter, but Quest Hunter, in my opinion, is a meme.
So the only classes that could try and give Shu’ma some love are either Handbuff Paladin or Quest Druid. and already it’s not looking too good for Shu’ma, because like I said: “Why to bother using Shu’ma when you could use Onyxia instead?”. I think players, even if they somehow love this card, because they loved Violet Wurm from Kobolds and Catacombs, are sadly out of luck, and they need to go back to Onyxia, because Shu’Ma doesn’t have a home yet, and even if it did, they would just use Onyxia instead. 1 Star. I’m sorry Shu’ma.
Dragonrider Talritha
So, to properly look at this, it’s just going to give your Dragon in your hand a +6/+6 Buff in the long run. And for someone like a 3 Mana 3/3, comparing a 5 Mana 3/5 Dragon Speaker, that’s actually really nice. Now hopefully we actually get to see Dragon Paladin using both Dragon Speakers and Dragonrider Talitha. It’s basically a Mini Dragon Speaker, but just more flexible, but I’m going or the benefit of the doubt and just that players didn’t use Dragon Speaker, because they no purpose for Dragon Paladin until now. 4 Stars.
Envoy of Lazul
Curious Glimmeroot came back. Cool.
Now, the idea of such a card is still powerful, because even if you somehow messed up as to what the opponent has, you are still able to look at the 3 cards your opponent has. Normally for something like, I would have said 5 stars, but looking at the Overall meta for Envoy of Lazul, I’m going to say it’s 4 stars. Because not everyone (that isn’t in a budget deck) will need the feel to run this card. It’s a nice Fringe card, and better yet, you could possibly use for Singleton Priest to actually be a thing (since you now have all these Destroy Spells and now Envoy of Lazul to show you what cards the oppoment has.)
Really don’t underestimate this card, becuase much like Glimmeroot from Un’Goro, Priests LOVED the information what the oppoment had.
Seal Fate
Okay yeah, you’re right. I kinda failed to understand Seal Fate probably, since I wasn’t thinking about the Invoke making Lackeys for rouge at first. I’ll give you that.
Praise Galakrond!
I mean to be fair, it is at the very least a 1 mana Sinister Deal at best, expect a bit worse, but it still feels pretty wonky at first. Maybe Miracle Rogue could use this, or A deck that likes using Togwaggle but other then that, it just feels off. Now, with that said; EVIL Cable Rat, for example, had a similar issue, and I am now starting to see how Praise Galakrond is having the same ‘first-glance’ problem, where we treat it too poorly at first, and then it suddenly happens that it saw some play in the future before it might dip back down to more of a utility/niche card. So I believe I’ve failed to truly understand this card, when I remembered that there was a Meta were EVIL cable Rat of all things was actually a scary card. Sure it was more so to do with Shaman, but the Battlecry to make a random lackey was still scary nonetheless. Remember that Rouge’s Galakrond and Invoke makes Lackeys, So I’m now starting to be more and more comfortable with Praise Galakrond.
Dragonblight Cultist
Alright, let’s get this out of the Way. I think that as long as your playing much like a Tokenlock or Zoolock deck, this card will be fine. We saw Egglock doing fine, so this card should be fine too. Yes, 3 Mana for a 1/1 body REALLY sucks, but I honestly think that this card is fine, just as long as you already have a board to play with. 3 Stars.
Fiendish Rites

Waxadred
You could Argue that Although N’Zoth will no Longer be there, we can now have use for Togwaggle’s Scheme or even Shuffle Rouge to be a thing. It’s just that we need to work around Waxdred at first. Shuffle Rouge is going to be VERY Interesting because Waxadred with the help of copy cards is going to be the next Fal’Dorei Strider. And we all knew how annoying that card was back then. 4 Stars, just because I see the Wax-a-Deck / Waxa / Wax Rouge is going to be a bit too slow at first.
Sand Breath
Finally I get to actually play Dragon paladin without meming the Deck. 5 Stars.
Deathwing, Mad Aspect
It’s good to see you again, Buddy.
You could argue that this is a just either another version of Brawl but as a Minion, or even a worse version of King Mosh, back at Un’Goro, were Deathwing is bashing its head against everything until it dies. However, with the help of War Master Voone, you can choose how many Mad Deathwings you want. They are now so many AOE Removal Spells for Warrior that now he doesn’t know how much or even WHAT warrior wants anymore, in terms of Control. In terms of something like Dragon warrior though, we have Rejoiced. Just Picture it as a Late-Game Brawl with a Mix of King Mosh. And Yes, once it touches poisonious, it just instantly dies. 4 Stars.
Malygos, Aspect of Magic
I’m Scared of Mage now. Blue-Eyes White Dragon Control Value Freeze Mage is going to be thing.
6 Stars even.
So, just a Quest Update on Shu’ma: There is 1 more glimpse of hope for this card, and that is if it’s drawn with Warrior’s Galakrond the Unbreakable since it draws Minions from your deck and it gives them +4/+4. So you could make you Shu’ma a Potential 7 mana 5/11. I would STILL say to go for Onyxia at that point, for an 8 mana 12/12 threat, but I’m trying to be as optimistic as possible with Shu’ma. There’s just nothing great about Shu’ma, unless it’s either Cheated out or if you somehow get it with Courjor’s Calling.
