Pharaoh's Blessing
Now, you could argue that this is basically a “Sunwalker” Stats buff, since it’s a +4/+4 and it cost 6 mana, and I was almost going to write this card as an Automatic 1 Star, but then I released that Mech Paladin is still a thing, so maybe they could go crazy by putting in Pharaohs’ Blessing on a Mech like Egg or a Zilliax that Attacked, and really make a scary wall of stats that you have to get around on. I still don’t think otherwise that it would see any play whatsoever if it wasn’t for Mech Paladin, but who knows, maybe this card can surprise me.
If I had the opportunity to buff this card, I would just set the Mana from 6 to 5. going to give it, 3 Stars, because it got me from denying it’s power would even happen to getting me curious.
Dark Pharaoh Tekahn
As if EVIL Genius and Scrab Eggs Weren’t Crazy enough, now we have Tekahn turning them into lethal weapons. Ironically enough, I legit think that Tekahn is more suitable then Arch-Villain Rafamm in my opinion. Yes. Rafaam’s own Student is better then Tekahn’s own Teacher.
But I still think that you should go for both Rafaam and Tekahn since I think that this was one the major issues for Zoolock, so I do want to see a Return of that deck, and just dusting Rafaam, because it didn’t work. It defiantly deserves 5 Stars, because you’re basically giving your Lackeys a Nerfed Crystal Core Buff. And that Quest was some of the most unfairness that game had ever received. So imagine the power you could have with Tekahn for Power and Rafaam for the Last Resorts.
Vilefiend
I don’t know how I want to respond to this minion since I see it Similar in between Warrior’s Scraphound and a Poorman’s Scalehide. And I only Wished it had rush to make it a crazy card, but I think it would have been too much. So a 2 Mana 2/2 with lifesteal just feels weird for me. Right now I’m Flip-Flopping the Stars for this, because at one hand, at best it’s a worse version of scraphound, but still good enough, so I could give it 4 stars, but then I see Scalehide and I’m like: “Well, why don’t you just use Scalehide instead of Vilefeind? 1 Star.” But I think at the end of the day, and because it’s a Neutral Minion, I can see TOken Druid, Zoo Priest, Zoolock, and Maybe the new Tempo/Midrange Warrior Experimenting with this card. Trust me, I really wanted to give Vilefiend a bad time and just straight up give it 2 stars or something, but I think it does have a legit reason for its stats since it’s a Neutral version for Acolyte of Agony, so I think It’s fair to say that it deserves 3 Stars, but It defneitally needs some Experimentation, too.
Titanic Lackey
It’s a “1 Mana 1/3 with Taunt”, Boy is it still going to see play regardless, especially since it’s also going to buff Mech Paladin as one of the many examples. Unlike the other Lackeys where you have either Responses or Resources, This Lackey is planning more for a Defensive Structure instead of Responding to attack back. I legit thought that this was a card at first, up until I saw that this was a Lackey. But it’s still going to see a lot of play, even if you don’t want it.
It’s Easily 4 Stars, just because I feel that Half of the time, I see the Tinkering Lackey only giving a minion +1 Attack, where at the Titanic Lackey doesn’t waste your time, but yet most of the other lackeys give of a responsive reward for you.
Colossus of the Moon
Zilliax is a 5 Mana “Do everything” Card, and I thought that Colossus of the Moon was a 10 Mana version of it. It’s Big and it’s powerful, but it’s slow and clunky.
Desert Spear
That was my intention too, but because Desert Spear can give you the pressure automatically, it’s like that Halazzi is now Jobless. I’ll miss my friend, but his soul still lies within the Desert Spear. :’)
Overflow
It’s a Mini Ultimate Infestation for Druid and Heal Druid. Boy is this card going to see play. If I could I’d give it 6 Stars, because I’ve seen the Horrors of what UI can do. Looks like Druidstone is right around the Corner for Next April, so be Prepared. 5 Stars.
Anubisath Defender
It’s an Arcane Tyrant for Druid, expect it swaped 1 attack and health and added in with taunt. Boy is this card going to see play. If I could, I’d give it 6 Stars, because I’ve seen the horror of what Arcane Tyrant can really pull off. So, 5 Stars.
Plague of Flames
It’s a Zoowarlock’s Defile. Boy, is this card going to see play. 5 Stars.
Micro Mummy
Mirco Mummy! It’s a Mech Paladin Version for Grandmummy. Boy is this card going to see play. 5 Stars.
Livewire Lance
Shoot, I forgot to say that Improve Morale won’t see play as of the Uldum’s Expansion, for what I assume.
Livewire Lance
Veeerrry Interesting Card for Warrior. This is deferentially going to boost up the capability More Aggressive Tempo and Midrange Warrior decks out there. I Still don’t think that ??? is going to be used, but Livewire Lance is an Expectation. We’ve seen players use EVIL Cable Rat, and now we get to see Tempo and Midrange Warriors use Livewire Lance. 4 Stars, however, just because Warrior Decks come in all shapes and sizes, and right now he is more dominant as a Control-style deck. This card will Defentially be used for Next year if it doesn’t see play at all.
Desert Spear
I had some hard thinking with this card, since I am one of the Rare Beast Hunter Decks, that actually uses Halazzi, and I gotta say that Desert Spear is basically a more Tempo Version of Halazzi. And yes, a 5 Mana 3/2 Isn’t really worth anything, but As a Beast Hunter who has played that deck over and over, and I have managed to reach from Rank 20 all the way to Rank 10, My Experience is that Halazzi can SOMETIMES work in your favour. Sometimes you’ll have an empty hand, and you get to throw out your Lynxes like they’re candy. Other times (More or less likey) You get to play your 5 Mana 3/2, and you get to make 3-4 1/1s and still somehow manage to lose. I really tried to give it a go for Halazii, but I think it’s finally time to retire my favourite memed upon Loa, and move on with Desert Spear as my new best friend.
It’s been nice knowing you Halazzi, But now I’m able to play an actual card. I’m gonna miss him though even if he was more useless than useful. I Picked Halazzi up because didn’t want to screw up my Board with Unleash the Hounds, for when I played Zul’Jin. I want a Board full of Wyverns and Animal Companions, and not 3 Mana 1/1s with Charge.
Overall, I have to give this a 5 Star purely for Beast hunter, but otherwise a general 4-star.
Hack the System
It sounds reasonable enough at first, up until you realize that Dr.Boom is still a thing. This does, however, Shine more for more Aggressive Warrior Decks, such as Midrange, Pain, Taunt, or even a more aggro Bomb Warrior. This does mean that you need to Rely on Fiery War Axes, Wrenchcaliburs, Super Colliders, and even Upgrade of all things.
When Dr.Boom Mad Genius goes into wild, You will see a Massive Spike where Hack the System will suddenly be a lot more useful, so while it may not do anything for warrior for now (Unless the Meta shifts drastically) I will for the Next Year of the Expansion. 3 Stars for Now, but 5 Stars for Next Year.
Colossus of the Moon
I think the reason why Colossus of the Moon is going to have a bad wrap is just being it’s a clunky big minion with impressive stats, and that’s it. In terms of it does, unless you had a Last Resort Reason, It’s on paper a “better” Deathwing, because it could as a 10 Mana 10/13 by default. But as soon as you start adding in that it hates being destroyed (even with the help of Reborn and Deathrattle) It’s more or less likely just a Poorman’s ZIlliax in my opinion. Which is a Shame, because I can easily see Priest, for example, loving a card like this. 3 Stars. (But hoping it can go up to 4 or even 5 at the end when we get the full experience.)
With that out of the way, I do want to say that Khadgar Mage’s Sea Giant is now Buffed like Crazy because It now has a chance to turn into this big scary thing, which more or less like is going to be a GG for Mage. So do be cautious when you actually look at Colossus. It may be just a Filler Card for now, But I’m sure that Mage will be one of the first to experiment with Colossus.
As it is as a Standalone Card, this is a nice Control version of Saronite Chain Gang for Warrior, but in terms of working along with Armagedillo, I still somehow find it clunky, despite being a +4/+4 worth of stats for Tomb Warden. I would way prefer if it was Into the Fray instead, since it’s a 1 mana card, and you can still play your Tomb Warden as a 9 Mana *10/16, which is straight-up ridiculously powerful. I just don’t like Armagedillo, and I have to be convinced otherwise, but I can still see that they REALLY want to go out of town for Taunt Warrior to happen again, but in a different Retrospective. I’m sure that Wild Quest Warrior has finally gotten their prayers answered, and we got a Very Powerful Card. 5 Stars.
