Penance
Oh look, Spirit Lash is Back! With +1 Spell Damage, such as a Bloodmage Thalnos, this is basically a Holy Nova. 5 Stars.
Activate the Obelisk
There are a couple of cards that Priest can use other than the Hero Power, but the Universal Priest card should be happy to work with Lifedrinker the most.
There’s also Circle of Healing and Divine Hymn, Omega Medic and Holy Nova. For a Maybe Yes and Maybe No, You’ve got Neferest Ritualist, Squashlish, and Derange Doctor.
So you can work around your Quest Priest Deck with the number of heal cards that you might want to use to cheat out. I’m going to give this a 4 Stars, however, because only Big Priest and Rez Priest can’t use this as effectively as say, Control Priest, and If Zoo Priest does happen, they are going to struggle a bit here and there, and their reward isn’t as rewarding when they only got about 10-15 health left in the long run, but who knows. I could be wrong on that one.
Bazaar Burglary
Now THAT! Is a really cool and simple quest for Rouge. A Card that in the long run is going to be an advantage against the more Midrange and Control decks. Now, This has the same issue as let’s say Warrior’s Uldum Quest, where it’ may not see any not see as much play because A card is overshadowing it (Which is Dr.Boom, Mad Genius.) And for Rouge, it’s Spectral Cutless. I feel like that even for someone like Pirate Rouge would consider using the quest, right after they are starting to run out of pirate synergy. And this makes it so that way your constant 3 Damages for free are really going to save your butt from time to time, but because of Spectral Cutless from existing, you may or may not need to wait until next year where you can truly see this card shine in full force. 5 Stars.
Siamat
Ladies and Gentlemen, We have an Elemental Zilliax! 😀
Instantly 5 Stars, and A Hilarious card for Shudderwock.
Flame Ward
Okay. What the actual hell? It’s not even like a Hellfire-type card. It just straight up clears the board for you. I already feel like this card needs a nerf, by making it so that was it deals 3 damage to all minions instead of just the oppoment’s, or perhaps lowering it down to 2 damage, instead of 3. But other then that, it even deserves 6 stars.
Sahket Sapper
It’s a very interesting and quite an Important one for Rouge. I especially love the flavour of this card, because you can really mess up the Mech Decks out there but as long as you pay attention against Battlecry minions or Zilliax, this card is Awesome for Rouge! 4 Stars.
King Phaoris
Not exactly sure what I’m missing here since I’m just seeing it as a worse Astromancer for Mage. But I guess it could also screw over Khagar Mage if they get unlucky with their Sea Giants, so. Eeeh. I don’t mind this card, but who knows, maybe it could actually see some experimentation. 2 Stars.
Khartut Defender
Awwwwh, C’mon, I was getting excited, but it cost 6 Mana! 🙁 Even if it was 5 Mana, I would still say that a “4” Mana Different Applebaum would have been interesting to see. It sadly gets 1 star for me., I’m sorry.
This card bumped me out.
Wretched Reclaimer
Oh, wow, yeah. 5 Stars. You can use this for Mech Priest, or just Most Priest decks in general. You can even cheat out for more card draw with Loot Hoarder or even your Treasure (if you want to go that far off), and destroy it with Wretched Reclaimer. I am very surprised that this isn’t an Epic. Normally, a card like this uncommon to be a Rare (Even though Priest used to have Drakonid Operative, and that was a crazy card on its own.) Looking forward to seeing if Priest can Shift the Meta, and faces against Warriors, Hunters and Mages. (Oh and Paladins and some Rouges here and there.)
Wrapped Golem
This is probably the most awkward card I’ve seen in Hearthstone, but it’s still interesting enough to maybe put as 1 copy for Token Druid. In terms of value, it’s a 7 mana “8/6” Minion with “Taunt and Divine shield” Becuase, the Scrab feels more like a Divine shield for Wrapped Golem, and the Golem itself is a soft taunt. It Reminds me a lot of Green Jelly, back at catacombs where nobody wanted to play that minion because they thought that it was too weak. I’ve heard that it somehow magically got a lot better, but I could be completely wrong on that, I need someone to reply back to me on that one, but if that’s true, then maybe we could actually see a little bit of play with Wrapped Golem. (Some Experimentation for sure.) 3 Stars for Curiosity, even though, my gut is telling me that nobody is going to really play this card other than as a niche pick.
Pharaoh Cat
Yeah, nononono, you’re right on that one. But I’m just saying that in terms of value, and it reminded me of Hench-Clan Burglar.
Conjured Mirage
It’s Doomsayer’s Girlfriend, Expect it has Taunt instead. It doesn’t explode the board, but it sure is going to protect you by a Mile. The 3 Attack is just enough to be scary for pretty much aggressive decks, and I can even see some Aggro and Tempo Decks using this, not just Control Decks. Hell, I can see anyone use this card and feel fine. The Flavour of this card is really nice, because now you no longer need to worry so much about using Elysiana anymore, so long as you have an Augmented Elekk with you, so you can try to spam as many Mirages as you can. A Deserving 5 Stars* (Asterisk), in my opinion, but It’s going to feel a little bit weird for Warrior at first.
Mortuary Machine
Eeh. It’ll probably see a bit of Experimentation because a 5 Mana 8/8 is interesting, but the Drawback is just too much, even with Silence and Mech Synergy. 2 Stars.
Pharaoh Cat
It’s a 1 Mana Version of Hench-Clan Burglar, expect it looks for Reborn for you. Boy, is this card going to give Rouge tons of Value. 5 Stars.
Bone Wraith
It’s a Better Sen’jin Shieldmasta, but it might actually see a bit a play for Quest Paladin. You can pretend that is a Reverse Divine Shield for this minion since It comes back alive with 1 health. Actually, now that I think about it, a 4 Mana 2/5 Taunt “Divine Shield” (I know It’s reborn) Sounds not too shabby. 3 Stars, I’m Curious.
Shadow of Death
I just see a powerful Midrange and Control Card, but it can also be used to make some Leeroys and Argent Commanders, too. I do like it, but it needs help from Preparation, in my opinion. 3 Stars.
Embalming Ritual
Automatically going to give this a 5 Star Card, but for some Priest Decks out there, it might be worth only keeping 1 copy of this card. Automatically, the first thing that came to my mind when I saw this was Zilliax, and then some of the more control-style Cards such as Muerte, or Velen. This is really going to make Big and Control Priest happy, but for the more aggressive Zoo, Tempo and Midrange Priest as well. You’ve got cards like Argent Commander to make it that much more of a nuisance to kill, and you even got Vargoth and Zerek Wanting for a card like this to happen, so they could have more survivability to cause more chaos and shenanigans towards your opponent. Do not sleep on this card, even if, as I said, you can always play just 1 copy of it.
