This on 3 into Fal’dorei on 4? Probably worse then other 3 drops you want to run in Miracle tho
Juicy Psychmelon
This is hilariously busted in Wild, but in standard not so much. Big Druid currently doesn’t run any 10 drops they want to play from hand (some lists run Deathwing, but you really want him to be pulled by Dragonhatcher). Since Dragonhatcher, Oakheart, and Ysera all cost 9, you aren’t guaranteed which one you’ll get, and one of those is obviously superior.
This would only draw 2 cards for Taubt Druid, and for that reason it’s debateable whether this is worse then Branching Paths.
Maly Druid runs an 8 drop, several 9s, and some lists run Tyrantus on 10. But with double UI, you usually don’t need more card draw. Idk.
I think this will be more powerful once UI rotates, but right now I’m not on the hype train (except in Wild lol)
Shrink Ray
This is more situational then Void Ripper. It is ONLY useful if you just have 1/1s and your opponent has a big taunt board. Void Ripper is useful to flip plagues, flip Corridor Creepers for extra damage, buff your minion’s health with Raid Leader, bust through taunts, etc, AND it leaves a 3/3 body behind.
This helps you clear the board, but it has no use outside of that, and it doesn’t leave a body behind. For a proactive deck like Odd Paladin, I just don’t think it’s good.
Shrink Ray
This is too clunky to be used in Odd Paladin. Void Ripper is better in most situations where this might be alright. This is an interesting Control Paladin card, though I’m not sure if it’s cheap enough to see play.
Gloop Sprayer
This is the epitome of a win-more card. In Big Druid, if you have an Oakheart board large enough to take advantage of this (and that stuck around for a turn), your opponent is going to lose anyway. Same thing with Taunt Druid, if you’re ever in a spot where this card is a good play, you were going to win without it. But if you’re behind, Gloop Sprayer is unplayable. Why would I want that?
The only decks where this could maybe work would be in some sort of Treant Druid with discounted Mulch Munchers, or in a Quest deck where you could reduce it’s cost to 0. In the former, I’m still not sold that I’d want to use a deck slot for it, and in the latter running Ixlid and/or Faceless is probably just better.
Crystalsmith Kangor
This card would be great for Control Paladin if Death Knights didn’t exist. Maybe in a Midrange list that doesn’t run Call to Arms? Right now I think it’s eh but could work after CtA and the DKs rotate.
Cosmic Anomaly
Not really sure if it counts as power creep since class cards should be better than neutrals. This card could be nice and provide extra burst for tempo mage (or even a resurgance of Freeze Mage). It’s probably better then Life Drinker, though it is worse on curve. I’m also unsure whether Freeze Mage will actually be able to work (it’s seen some fringe play in high legend), especially because Druids can casually gain 30 armor in a game.
Pogo-Hopper
Well that makes this a lot more interesting… I wonder if QR will have space for this. Definitely something to try out though.
Pogo-Hopper
How does this interact with the Quest global buff? Would it be a 4/4 that gained the extra stats, or would it just be a 4/4?
I’m also sure there’ll be some meme decks where you destroy your deck with Myra’s and fill it with Pogo-Hoppers thanks to Lab Recruiter. Maybe it’ll suck, or maybe it’ll be just as annoying as Jade Druid with Jade Idols.
Mulchmuncher
Also because this is a Mech it has to be considered with the neutral Magnetics like Zilliax, and because it has Rush it could be tutored by Countess Ashmore.
Mulchmuncher
Any card that can potentially be played for free has potential. It’s impossible to judge it based on the limited information we have now.
Whizbang the Wonderful
This card is hard to quantify because, on the one hand, it’s not going to see serious, high level play outside of people just memeing around. I doubt anyone will bring it to tournaments, and if they do, that’ll they’ll get very far. So from a competitive standpoint, it’s not great.
From a FUN standpoint, however, it’s amazing! You get to play 1 of 18 random decks every time you queue up your deck, and those recipes probably have cards you don’t. Especially for f2p or new players, this is an incredible value card and an amazing way to experience the game while using cards you don’t have in your collection. So from that perspective and an ingenuity perspective, this card is great!
Whizbang the Wonderful
I mean sure, but if you’re a Rank 20 player who can’t afford a lot of cards, this may be your best bet for laddering, or at least experiencing legendaries without having to craft them.
Flobbidinous Floop
This card is so flexible that even if we ignore the obvious Malygos shenanigans it should still see play. The biggest drawback is that you can’t run an Oaken Summons package, but that’s fine. Cube combos, copying useful battlecries, copying value generators like Ysera or the Lich king…
Firebat's OTK Miracle ft. Countess Ashmore, Sherazin
If you cut Sherazin you’d probably want to get rid of the whole Ashmore package, so the replacements would be double Vilespine and double Minstrel to tutor.
Zridex's (Feno) #1 Legend Big Druid - July 2018
In my experience, the matchup is much more even and comes down to who has the ramp and who draws Oakheart first. Taunt Druid may have a stronger late-game plan, but they don’t have that many ways to counter your big boys. You are the beatdown.
Malygos Miracle Rogue
Oh yeah definitely, the coin helps for burst with Valeera, especially if you use Wanted twice thanks to her hero power. Fire Flies are just so good for activating Vilespines and SIs, but the Razorpetals could fulfill that role too. I’ll probably try it out.
If you do end up using this, let me know how it goes! I’m currently 10-4 with it at Rank 4.
Even Miracle Rogue
Fal’dorei (and arguably minstrel) are your only good shadowstep targets, and the deck probably doesn’t have a slot for one of them. Unlike some Miracle lists which run 1, you don’t have cards like SI:7 to get additional value out of it. Spellpower minions are to empower your Razorpetals and Eviscerates for the final push against control, or to use them to make better trades. A second Grave Shambler is probably optimal, you’re right about that.
No vanish for the same reason standard Miracle lists don’t run it: Having a board full of spiders and buffed minions means Vanish hurts you too.
That’s true. I feel like running Lab Recruiters alone might be better in a non-cheese Miracle deck. We’ll have to see.
