Terrorguard Escapee
This card is bad for 2 reasons: first, unlike Cornered Sentry and Zuldrak Ritualist, it doesn’t have taunt. Second is there aren’t synergistic combos that really go with it (Cornered Sentry was run with Drywhisker Armorer as a way to gain armor, Zul’drak Ritualist can be cheated out in Wild with Oaken Summons). Seems very narrow and probably not good at all.
Unstable Felbolt
Could be good for a slower, more control oriented Warlock list. Also might see play in Wild Darkest Hour as good earlygame removal.
Greyheart Sage
I love that they’re giving rogue more stealth synergy (the last time they did was with Shadow Sensei I’m pretty sure). Right now the best stealth minions are Skyvateer and Akama, and Hench Clan Sneak also exists. When activated this card is insane, but it might need more stealth minions to really be worth it. I’ll definitely be trying it out though!
Imprisoned Sungill
This seems like a terrible topdeck, and even as a turn 1 play it seems bad in Murloc decks.
Murgur Murgurgle
Not sure how I feel about this card. The Prime has a fairly powerful battlecry, but if Tip the Scales continues to be used in Murloc Paladin, you won’t want to pull the Prime version, so it’s a liability in that sense. However, since Prismatic Lens is rotating, maybe Tip the Scales won’t see play at all. Could also be used in non-Murloc decks, such as Highlander Paladin, but overall I feel like this card isn’t that strong.
Inner Demon
This card is probably too expensive for most Demon Hunter decks, but it is a nice damage source for Zephyrs.
Sightless Watcher
I think it’s more relevant in Demon Hunter then in other classes thanks to Outcast, but it does seem a bit overrated. Then again, it’s giving targeted draw for no stat loss so it could be fine. This is definitely one that needs to be played to ascertain it’s real power level.
Glowfly Swarm
An interesting hybrid of Living Mana + Wispering Woods. Druids still have a lot of good buffs and cards for token strategies and I suspect this will be run if Token Druid continues to be good. It also costs 5 which is a nice for a big swing with Anubisath Defenders.
Altruis the Outcast
Like the best cards for an Outcast-centered deck, Altruis is pretty cheap, which will let you set up combos with him more efficiently. This fits in aggro decks, midrange, and even slower decks as well, but I think any Outcast abusing deck will be fairly midrange-y. I like the look of this so far.
Zixor, Apex Predator
3 mana 2/4 rush is already decent and the Prime is very powerful. Has obvious synergies with the Hunter Quest and the Rush Sidequest. I would expect it to go into Highlander Hunter as well. Seems really good on paper
Warmaul Challenger
Very interesting removal tool that synergizes with warrior staples like Armorsmith and Frothing Berserker. I could see this in control and tempo style warriors because of it. Of course, this card really wants it’s battlecry used on low attack minions, but even if you use it on a 3/3 it removes the 3/3 and you have a 1/1 left over. Overall very interesting design.
Kael'thas Sunstrider
Absolutely insane in Wild Jade Druid. Play 2 cheap spells with this and then Ultimate Infestation, EZ.
Scavenger's Ingenuity
A tutor effect with a massive buff. Could be good in a dedicated beast build or in some sort of deck that has a specific set of beasts that it wants to draw. Seems very powerful on paper.
Teron Gorefiend
Seems insane in many wild archetypes, including Cubelock, Deathrattle Hunter, and Rogue. Rogue and Hunter in particular have felt close to being viable but were lacking something, and this might be enough to push them over the edge.
Wrathscale Naga
So Soul Juggler makes it into constructed, sort of. Seems powerful with the cards generating 1/1s with Rush to help clear boards, and it can go face which is massive. The 3/1 statline makes it easy to remove but it can probably pop off on the turn it’s played.
Umberwing
A smaller Muster for Battle but still seems very powerful, the built-in curve for Demon Hunter looks strong. 1 mana 2/2 into this into the 4/2 is pretty crazy.
Twin Slice
Demon Hunter seems to have a lot of built in card draw but I wonder if Auctioneer could be a fun option as well. I’m honestly not sure how to feel about this card, on one hand it seems to synergize with what Demon Hunters want to be doing, especially if you can combo this in the early game with the 1 mana 2/2 and the 3 mana 4/2. However, this is a pretty abysmal topdeck and that’s a pretty huge downside.
Pirate Warrior Deck List Guide – Descent Post-Nerf – December 2019
That’s simply not true. Rogue has had powerful pirate decks as recently as Rise of Shadows. Before the Raiding Party and Preparation nerf it was one of the best decks. Odd Rogue also often used a pirate package with Southsea Captains, and in wild can continue to do so. Speaking of Wild, aggressive pirate rogue with Kingsbane also used to be one of the best aggro decks in the format, even better then pirate warrior! And many players have hit high legend with pirate rogue with necrium blade and apothecary shenanigans.
Valdris Felgorge
As a mobile user, I’m very afraid for the UI of a 12-card hand and expect it to be super bugged on release. Is this card good? Well even without increasing your hand size, it’s sprint with a 4/4 attached to it. You can make Mountain Giant super duper cheap with this as well. In a combo deck, it’s just crazy draw. I’m not sure how exactly this card will fit into decks, but there will probably be space somewhere.
Loot Hoarder with more attack that tutors. I would expect most mage decks to run this in standard. In wild you might even run it in Reno Quest Mage.
