Hir'eek, the Bat
Between Doubling Imp and Omega Agent, it seems like they’re pushing Handbufflock as a thing. You’ll be pretty vulnerable to boardwipes (even if you get it up to, say, 4/4), but you only spent a single card to develop an entire board so it might still be worth it. Might need to wait until Spreading Plague rotates though š
Surrender to Madness
It buffs all your minions, but then you can only play minions that are 3 mana below the curve you had otherwise, so seems like it more than cancels out the buff. And you spent a card and three mana for the privilege. I’m pretty skeptical.
Immortal Prelate
If I had to imagine a card to push Buff Pally into relevance, it sure would look like this. It’s begging to be silenced, but then that’s a silence they can’t use when you drop Lynessa Sunsorrow. Both that card and this AND Primalfin Champion are pulled by Crystology. I think this is onto something.
Springpaw
The best birthday present [Card_link name=”Toxmonger”] could have asked for.
Sharkfin Fan
Seems a bit hard to extract value from: it dies (often unfavorably) to any two-drop, and ideally youāll want a 1-mana weapon to tempo into this, making it even less reliable. The good news is that if you DO get that play, Southsea Captain can be your T3, so thatās… something, at least?
Sul'thraze
You can clear a bunch of middleweight minions, but isnāt that what Supercollider is for?
Might help a more aggressive/midrange warrior keep pressure on the face, I guess. For one more mana than Arcanite Reaper you get 6 more damage in total- that aināt nothing.
Spirit of the Shark
Same cost as Brann, so probably viable. It plays into Rogueās current major weakness though- earlygame aggression.
Think of the Pogo-Hoppers you can make, though! ?
Rastakhan's Rumble Expansion Guide ā Release Date, Card Spoilers List, Pre-Purchase
No clue what that Paladin card even does, but itās sure to cause some highrolls with Prismatic Lens.
Premise of the expansion sounds great!
The Light Has Betrayed Me: What Does Priest Need to Get Back to the Top?
The evergreen priest problem: give him too potent/consistent removal and his decks become uninteractive, overly reactive games of whack-a-mole until he assembles some lategame combo or infinite value hack.
Give him too weak/finicky removal and he is pushed out of the meta by aggro decks. Thatās where he is now- his early control options are Thalnos+Spirit Lash, Duskbreaker, Wild Pyromancer, and good olā Soulpriest+Circle of Healing. Which sounds like a lot, but people just donāt want to deal with the inconsistency, and aggro decks can buff themselves out of priestās earlygame threats in a way they canāt against other classes.
Priest, along with Warrior, have always had an issue with win conditions, as well. Or lack thereof, I should say. Itās especially bad now since Warrior and Druid can handily armor themselves out of range of BOTH the Alexstraza/Velen/Burn path and the Divine Spirit/Inner Fire path.
Anyway, itās a shame since KnC-era Dragon Combo priest and Witchwood-era Spiteful Priest were some of the most fun and engaging decks Iāve ever piloted.
Honestly? I hope they stuff priest with more nice-bodied minions and tempo tools. Kabal Talonpriest, Drakonid Operative, and Priest of the Feast may have been overkill, balance-wise, but at least they gave him a board to build and decisions to make. When was the last time they released a 3-5 mana Priest minion that could stand by itself on curve?
Analysis Of The Upcoming Boomsday Nerfs (Giggling Inventor, Mana Wyrm, Aviana) And Their Impact On The Meta
I remember back in KnC when they nerfed Patches/Bonemare/Raza, the consensus was āwhereās the Cubelock nerfs? Wonāt this make them OP?ā and the response was ātheyāve probably playtested that, the meta will settle, etc etcā. But true to form, it was 3 straight months of Cubelock on the ladder until the nerfs came for them too.
What Iām trying to say is that I wouldnāt count on Druids in standard magically becoming… NOT overtuned and dominant until either nerf, rotation, or some unforeseen tech card in the next expansion..
Also as somebody whoās played a lot of evolve Shaman this expansion, thereās no way in heck Giggling is still worth it at 7 mana. Iāll give it a shot, though!
Control Mage - Boomsday - Top 200 Legend (Evangelion)
Bright Eyed Scout has a 50% chance of upping the cost ? I guess itās worth it for when you can tempo a cheap legendary?
Guntofire's #9 Legend Boomsday Miracle Rogue
That’s a lotta Mossies, but I dig it š
Boomsday Eureka! Shaman (Chinoize)
Didn’t have neeeearly the same luck everyone else did. Went 0-9 before rage deleting the deck. Your hand gets clogged with expensive combo pieces, silence/sap/transform makes you lose on the spot, and the overload constantly throws you off-tempo. Aggro/control/combo walked all over me in equal measure.

Boomsday Elemental Shaman (Frescha)
It’s legit. Not sure all these legendaries are needed, though.
Gaara's Legend Luna's Pocket Keleseth Control Mage
It’s good stuff! Didn’t have Dragoncaller Alana, so used Singradrosa instead. Won against Zoolock and Odd Rogue every time.
Evolve Token Shaman Deck List Guide (The Storm Bringer) - Boomsday - August 2018
I loved the various heydays of token shaman, and was excited to try this sorta deck out again as soon as they revealed Voltaic Burst and Thunderhead! Luckily, I unpacked The Storm Bringer, too, which is not a card I would’ve crafted otherwise. Already had Thrall, Deathseer and unpacked a Thunderhead, but was too cautious to craft Corridor Creeper or Electra (soon, probably).
Won most of my games, losing to a mech Pally that slapped Missile Launcher onto that mech egg and Kangor’d everything, and a warrior that was COMICALLY teched against token so I couldn’t feel too bad about losing (Weapons Project, Blood Razor x2, Warpath x2, AND a mossy horror… whatyagonnado). Oh, and a zoolock that got away from me, but I won against Zoolock the next match. Zoolock has no comeback to this except for Dreadlord, which is easy to play around generally. And his cards hate hate hate knife juggler and being picked off by lightning bolt.
Extremely early impressions on the deck: Saronite and Giggling Inventor are crazy good, here. Microtech controller is better than I expected, too (no good three drop otherwise, really wrecks shop if you had Knife Juggler the turn before. Baits out AoE quite well). Cult Leader works well as a draw engine, synergizing marvelously with the sparks.
I was able to exploit Thunderhead once or twice- it’s great when you can do it! This might be one of those not-too-crazy cards that nevertheless works well because it just kinda gets value one way or another- if it baits a single target removal or silence, fine. You didn’t lose much and you just got a free turn to attack with your tokens. If they AoE and leave him alive, that’s fine too. You keep a body on the board and can punish the next turn with his effect.
The spells to run are the toughest decision, here. Bloodlust and Voltaic Burst are obvious. At least one copy of Lightning Storm seems vital, in case you lose board control and need to clean up weakened minions (or just take out a Giggling Inventor after popping the shields). Earthen Might I’m not sold on. +2+2 didn’t help TOO much and the elemental you get tends to just clog your hand- this deck is incredibly tempo-based. I tried the new Elementary Reaction too. It was meh, but I got cards that didn’t help my topdeck. Hex is important, I think. There’s just too much stuff that can ruin your day without Hex, especially if Magnetize sticks around. (Crushing Hand might work well too, especially with giants and Lich King running around, but Hex is one mana “cheaper” and screws up deathrattle/revive). One spell I haven’t seen considered, but has potential IMO, is Spirit Echo. It’s anti-synergy with evolve, I know, but nobody expects it and you can nab a lot of strong battlecry cards back into your hand.
Never got to use The Storm Bringer. I strongly suspect this is a win-more card, but might work better depending on the rest of the build. I had no Corridor Creepers to tempo with it, namely.
Mech Paladin Deck List Guide (Kangor's Endless Army) - Boomsday - August 2018
Great theorycrafting, I think this archetype has potential! Yeah, itās vulnerable to silence, but you have 3+ big magnetic buffs, Valanyr buffs, the egg… Iām sure you can exhaust most deckās silence and spot removal pretty fast and wind up with an unanswerable minion.
The benefit doesn’t seem super impactful or consistent, even if Warlock now has a lot of cards that synergize with this :\
