Warpath
This could work VERY well with things like Acolyte of Pain, Rotface, etc. 4 out of 5 stars.
Face Collector
This card has insane value! However Rogue seems the worst class for this card in Constructed. Arena though… Rating it 3.5 out of 5 stars.
Genn Greymane - Can Even-Cost Decks Be Viable?
In an even deck you’re supposed to curve out your odd turns with something even + Hero Power. Losing Firefly definitely hurts, since that’s two easily-triggering elementals in one card. But you should still be able to play elementals in pseudo-curve (one every turn) pretty reliably. We’ll see what other cards we get in The Witchwood.
Genn Greymane - Can Even-Cost Decks Be Viable?
In Wild there should actually be enough cards to make a decent Even or Odd Highlander deck. So Reno-Genn is worth a try!
Genn Greymane - Can Even-Cost Decks Be Viable?
Loot Hoarder, Knife Juggler, Dire Wolf Alpha, Drygulch Jailor, Plated Beetle. You need a minimum of 8 low-cost minions for Call to Arms to work reliably with your deck. Here I mentioned 5 of them, of which you could introduce 10, and we haven’t even seen the rest of The Witchwood’s cards. In my opinion, having only 2-drops makes Call to Arms better, not worse. If I open Genn, I’m definitely trying Even Paladin.
Upcoming StarCraft Tavern Brawl Event: Portals to Another Dimension!
Blizzard, we want Hearthstone to extend beyond the WoW universe! Make it a Heroes of the Storm CCG!
Gloom Stag
Stand Against Darkness will rotate in April. And for the sake of the HS community, let’s hope Call to Arms gets nerfed soon.
Murkspark Eel
Yeah, it’s a shame that the two cards you would like to drop with a board full of totems, namely Windshear Stormcaller and Bloodlust, are odd-cost mana.
Gloom Stag
Fair enough. I’d still rather drop a Bittertide Hydra on 5 than this Stag, though.
Black Cat
Hunter has probably one of the most powerful and one-sided Hero Powers, so Blizzard has been giving him bad class cards for a long time, especially legendaries. Hunter can always abuse good neutrals, like we’ve seen with Undertaker. Mean Streets of Gadgetzan was an all-time low quality cards for Hunter. Blizzard has finally managed to push a new archetype for Hunter with Spell Hunter, but now that Barnes rotates out it’s probably not going to cut it for ladder without more support. I believe Face or Midrange Hunter should always be at least a T2 deck, but yeah, I understand that giving hunter a good card draw could potentially break it. Still sad for all the crappy cards he gets so often.
Black Cat
It’s a cat and we’re losing Tabbycat in standard, OF COURSE we need it in Hunter! 🙂 Besides, odd Mage is very unlikely to work, so we’re not going to see this cat too much. Don’t you miss all those Face Hunters plaguing the ladder? 😉
Glitter Moth
Potential to set up an OTK with the 3/3 that swaps Attack and Health. Good thing Divine Spirit is not an option with this, otherwise it would be too OP. Very interesting card, but needs a good board state to work. 4/5
Murkspark Eel
If Medivh’s Valet could be played in Turn 2, it would probably be OP. This is not so strong, but it will be a great Tempo Play if Genn Shaman is a thing. 4/5
Gloom Stag
So far Baku Druid would probably be Aggro Druid. This is not a bad card for the deck, but at 5-mana you normally want to use Living Mana. Also, it will feel very bad to drop this and then get silenced. 3/5
Black Cat
Why is this not a neutral? It would have fit perfectly for my Face Hunter! I play it on Turn 8, top-deck a Kill Command and Hero Power to do 9 damage total and close the game. Plus the Beast tag is perfect. Whyyyy does it have to be a Mage card? 4/5, would have been 5/5 if it were neutral.
Baku the Mooneater - The New Justicar Trueheart!
Note: in priest you mentioned Divine Favor (when you actually wanted to say: Divine Spirit).
I will definitely try the Face Hunter with Baku. I already try to constantly Hero Power from Turn 4 onwards, and sometimes I’ve lost a game with 3 or 4 HP left on my opponent’s side. The upgraded Hero Power should account for this!
Monster Hunt Guide - Monsters, Bosses List, Treasure List, and Tips & Tricks
Granted, the best single-player moment I’ve had in HS was when Archthief Rafaam stole my deck in LoE. I remember hopelessly trying to win against my OP deck. However, that surprise factor can only hold the first time. I love LoE and I agree it is the best adventure of all 4 classic adventures, but it becomes stale quite fast, just as the rest of the adventures. Actually, I found myself going back to the Karazhan Prologue and the Chess Boss in Heroic Mode more often than to any boss in LoE, because they were more fun. The good (great) thing about Adventures was that you knew exactly what cards and rewards you got for completing them, which made them real money worthy. The Heroic Bosses were also a nice challenge, but sometimes too obnoxious. I hated having to restart a game vs The Lich King until I had the perfect starting hand, and for some Heroic Bosses you also kind of need a perfect starting hand.
Dungeon Runs, on the other side, I played hundreds of bosses until I began to feel they were stale. When I want some relax I still start one and try something whacky. For F2P players this is a huge mode because it lets you play with all the good cards you can’t play in constructed due to lack of money. I still wish to get the Dungeon Run Quest in my daily quest because it gives me a reason to play them. For me it’s clearly the overall best single-player experience in HS.
The Witchwood Tidbits - Clarifications & Insights from the Developers
Evolve Shaman is relatively cheap, true, but I think I just had quite some bad luck opening Shaman cards from packs. I still don’t have Evolve, Devolve, Thing from Below, Doppelgangster, the entire Jade Package, Mana Tide Totem, Primalfin Totem nor Unstable Evolution. Also, since the nerf I don’t have Corridor Creeper any more. Too many missing pieces. That is a ton of rares and even epics, and as F2P I’m glad I crafted Midrange Hunter and Zoo instead at the beginning (started playing before KnC). Recently I could also craft Tempo Burn Mage since it only required me to craft Aluneth and a few rares. Evolve Shaman seems a very fun archetype, but it would have meant a lot of dust for a gimmicky deck (kind of like Exodia Mage).
Yeah I don’t think the new Shaman Hero will be an upgrade either, but it’s not too hard to make it more powerful than Deathseer. Just look at how DK Guldan has totally eclipsed Jaraxxus in recent times, and I don’t think Jaraxxus is a bad card at all. With many of the tools for Evolve Shaman rotating out and the new Shaman Hero, it will be very unlikely that Deathseer will be seen much, imho.
Baku the Mooneater
Just a note: Kabal Talonpriest won’t be in Standard with this guy.
Is this for serious? Didn’t Paladin have enough with Call to Arms that they also need an extra broken tool? For those of you who don’t know Loatheb, he’s considered one of the best legendaries ever for countering spell tech. His effect was THAT good. Now we have his effect for just 2 mana, at common, and 2 copies of it in every deck. Imagine filling your board with Paladin, then use this. Your oponent has to take damage from a big board to the face. Next turn you develop more and play it again. Think 2 Call to Arms one after the other is busted? Wait until you see Rebuke played twice in a row. The only thing this doesn’t counter is Duskbreaker, which honestly is another broken tool that should be nerfed.
I do hope nerfs to Call to Arms and this card come out soon because I don’t want to be facing Paladin as often as I had to face Druid in KFT.
