This is baaaaaaaaaad to include in your deck. Lifesteal is nonsense in the early game. But yes, as others have pointed out, this is a buff to DK Rexxar, as combining it with another beast will make it a very powerful Zombeast. 1/5 stars in Constructed, 4.5/5 stars when chosen as part of a Zombeast.
Prince Liam
I like this Legendary! In the lategame you’d rather topdeck a random legendary than a Secret. I’d rather have a Righteous Protector than a random legendary though. But maybe Call to Arms it first? More tools for Midrange Paladin, although I don’t think this is OP by any means. 3.5/5 stars.
Wyrmguard
Some neutral Dragon Support is definitely appreciated. This is far from the power level of Netherspite Historian, and I even think Bookwyrm is better. But it’s solid. 3/5 stars.
Squashling
This is actually decent. In a damaged board with Northshire Cleric, you can heal your board and draw cards in the process. Can also heal your face. The bodies left behind are weak, but I like its flexibility. 3/5 stars.
Vilebrood Skitterer
Overcosted removal. Assassinate doesn’t see play, and it can even go through Taunts and Divine Shields (this doesn’t). The only thing this has for Assassinate is powering up Hyena and similar cards. This is NOT the beast Hunter needs. 1.5/5 in constructed, 2.5/5 in Arena because any removal there is good.
Ghost Light Angler
Definitely not the best Murloc around, and I don’t think you’d play this in a Murloc deck. But in Control Shaman with Hagatha, this is a 5 spell generator in Turn 10. So it does have its uses. I just don’t think it’s powerful enough. 2/5 stars.
Shudderwock
Two copies of itself, not Doppelgangsters. O_O That would be in Wild, but in Standard we have Saronite Chaingang!
Shudderwock
OK, so I’ve been saying Brode and Day[9]’s stream on Twitch. I had never thought Saronite Chain Gang would double this minion and not invoke another Chain Gang. So with that Combo in mind, this already has 4/5 stars in Standard for me, and as I said, it can get broken and go to 4.5 or even 5 stars.

With Kalimos you usually always choose 3 damage AOE. Damage to oposing hero or restoring health are not bad, but normally lackluster. Filling board with 1/1s is not what you want in the end game, and it can happen to you… Nope, don’t like it.
Carrion Drake
If you’re gonna give Hunter some Dragons, give them at least one Duskbreaker or Drakonid OP. With the current dragons in Hunter, they’re not gonna see play. And why oh why is Hunter barely receiving beasts in a heavily-packed beast expansion? Is this for real?
As to the card: nothing too impressive. Aimed at midrange-style of Deck, and could be very good with the Rush legendary. 3/5 stars.
Curse of Weakness
This is OP. Not just does it combine so well with Mossy Horror. It’s yet ANOTHER nail in the coffin for Aggro vs Warlock. Like, really? Cubelock and Control didn’t have enough high winrate vs Aggro that Blizzard had to give them this and Lord Godfrey? Where have we ended? I love Warlock as a class but their tools are disgusting right now. 5/5 stars for the power level of this, not because I like the card – it shouldn’t be there.
Zap!
Shaman Backstab. Could fit in Aggro Shaman in Wild (power up that Tunnel Trogg while you remove the oposing 1-drop or 2-drop). Still, it eats one card slot. I wouldn’t mind getting this from randomly generated spells, though. Better than Totemic Might for sure! 3/5 stars.
Baleful Banker
So Mage had an Epic with an identical battlecry. It was barely used, so Blizzard has decided to print a neutral equivalent. So, this can enable so many combos with its low mana cost. It’s NOT a 2-drop, you want it in the late game in Control-like Matchups. In Wild, as others point out, getting an extra Reno or N’Zoth can straight up win you the Control Matchup. Giving it 4/5 stars.
Shudderwock
Definitely an interesting legendary. Shame that Jades are rotating out – excuse, shame that SHAMAN Jades are rotating out (Druid’s can be deleted from the game for all I care). In Wild you can refill your board with super strong green men (some of them even with Taunt to protect you). In Standard… well, I don’t know how powerful UNTARGETED Battlecries are for Shaman. Like, I wouldn’t run Fire Elemental with this guy. Nor Hagatha (kill your own stuff) or Kalimos (the Elemental Invocation will be chosen randomly). I don’t see this legendary as powerful right now, but with the upcoming 5 expansions Shaman can get good battlecries and make this worth it. So 2.5/5 stars now, possibly 4.5/5 stars in the future.
The Witchwood Card Review Part 11 - Tess Greymane, Blink Fox, Archmage Arugal, Paragon of Light, and More!
Paragon of Light’s effect only happens in the battlefield, so no, Corpsetaker won’t copy the effects from Paragon Light.
Paragon of Light
Hey, Aggro Paladin has been the deck with highest winrate in ladder after the nerfs in KnC. It will presumably lose its spot after rotation, but who knows? There’s almost always been a T1 aggro deck around. Baku Face Hunter could be the one this time around. We’ll see.
Paragon of Light
It’s a very average 3-drop without synergy, but with synergy it’s obviously one of the best 3-drops in the game. You normally want to play this with Dire Wolf Alpha on board, or with a Blessing of Kings in hand. Still, Taunt and Lifesteal help for a midrange-y deck, they’re not really THAT useful if you’re going Aggro Paladin. Rating it 3.5/5 stars, not more because I don’t think you can have reliable synergy every single game.
This could read: 5 mana 3/4, deal 3 damage to a minion, can’t go through Taunts. 3/4 is worth 3 mana, deal 3 damage to a minion is 1.5 mana. So for the card to be good it would have to be 4 mana, but it’s 5 mana… Clearly not making the cut in Constructed, probably better in Arena. 1.5/5 stars in Constructed, 3/5 in Arena.
