Book of Specters
This would have been great in my meme Discardlock deck! Instead they give this to a class that is spell reliant and also has Arcane Anomaly??? WTF? I guess it is so that Even Mage has card draw? Even then, horrible card imho. 1.5/5 stars and the extra 0.5 is in case you want to run Even Mage.

Turn 7 you mean.
For me Curator is a 3.5 stars card, and I think this is more or less the same. A 7-cost 4.5 stars card for me would be something like Antonidas, Firelands Portal or Psychic Scream. I don’t think this card reaches that level by any means…
Yeah draw a card is 1.5 mana. So you’re paying 7 mana for a 5.5 mana body and 3 mana card draw. You’re saving 1.5 mana. It’s good, but not super good.
Totem Cruncher
Terrible concept. As a Shaman player I DON’T want to destroy my totems. Have other minions waste their attacks on them, or face the threat of placing a Flametongue Totem that will trade efficiently. Not to mention Bloodlust. To top it off, by Turn 4 there’s always plenty of removal at your oponent’s disposition, or even worse – Silence. What mana does Spellbreaker cost again? Yeah, terrible card. 1.5/5 stars.

I think people are overrating this. I mean, it’s good, but I don’t know if it’s THAT good. The Deathrattle part is easy, every class has a good Deathrattle they can include. Rush… for Warrior and Hunter, sure, but I don’t think other classes will run too many Rush minions. There’s a bunch of neutral ones, and this curves well into the 8-mana Rush with Divine Shield (which will be an 8/3 on the next turn, exactly what you want), so it can definitely find its place. But Lifesteal… what decent Lifesteal cards are used in Standard? Only Spirit Lash and Amethyst Spellstone that I can think of… If at least this drew Uther DK or Jaina DK, but no, it doesn’t. And just like with Windfury, pure Lifesteal minions and weapons suck. So I’m thinking this would draw 1 to 2 useful cards consistently. Curator usually drew two.
Also, Curator had Taunt. This is very important because 6/6 in turn seven is an important lack of tempo. So I don’t think this is better than Curator, and also won’t fit too many decks. Still, it’s a good card.
3.5/5 stars.
Bellringer Sentry
Mysterious Challenger was so strong that Blizzard even printed the hate card Eater of Secrets to try and counter it, pretty much like it printed Skulking Geist to counter Jade Druid (another busted mechanic with Jade Idol).
Yeah, I agree that if a secret like Avenge is printed in this or in other expansions, this card could be good in Standard. The problem is that the four secrets from Paladin in Classic are quite lack luster. They’re good when discovered from Hydrologist because they don’t cost a card and you can get the one that best fits the situation. But this doesn’t combine with Hydrologist, and I don’t think we can get a combo in the level of Noble Sac + Avenge + Competitive Spirit like it usually happens in Secret Paladin.
If a new good secret is printed, I will change my judgment from 2/5 to 3.5/5.
Town Crier
We want good 1-drops, but we don’t want busted 1-drops. This is a busted 1-drop, just like Kobold Librarian is. Anyway, just with this card alone you can expect Tempo Warrior to be at the very least Tier 2. 5/5 stars.
Worgen Abomination
As others have said, this is gonna have a hard time finding its place in constructed, since Baron Geddon and Primordial Drake are 90% of the time just better. The damaged thing can be an advantaged… but also a disadvantage. Like this won’t generally hit small tokens or minions with Divine Shield, whereas the other two options do so. It looks more powerful in Arena. Just thinking here, for example: Arcane Explosion + this guy costs 9 mana and two cards, where you could normally run Fireblast in Mage… Sure, you leave a 6/6 behind with an ongoing effect, but you don’t damage your minions nor you need to include a dubious card like Arcane Explosion on your deck if you go with Flamestrike. 2.5/5 stars, just because of the strength of neutral AOE in Arena.
Pick Pocket
Don’t worry. He didn’t get Kobold Librarian or Twisting Nether. He got Sense Demons.
Pick Pocket
Terrible card. Would it have been busted if instead of getting a random card, you discovered a card from your opponents class? This is what Hallucination does and it costs 1 mana… It would greatly increase the chances of getting something usable. In general Priest does this stealing much better than Rogue, because it gets cards from your opponent’s DECK, and nobody puts weak cards in their deck… Even then, it had to be with Drakonid OP or Curious Glimmeroot where Priest got to use this mechanic competitively, since cards like Mind Vision and Thoughtsteal were too costly and stayed as memes. For Rogue to use its Burgle identity better, he needs to DISCOVER the cards, and not just pure RNG. 1 out of 5 stars with this. Rogue is getting really bad cards this expansion and points to being trash tier.
PS: This is not even good in Miracle Rogue. Even if you had Auctioneer and 10 man to Echo this, you will clog your hand with mostly useless cards and risk milling yourself with Auctioneer’s card draw.
Mistwraith
Not better than Questing Adventurer or Van Cleef. Probably won’t see play… 2/5 stars, being generous…
Bellringer Sentry
Is this Blizzard’s way of saying that Mysterious Challenger was busted? That card was only one stat below vanilla, and it pulled up to 5 different secrets in your deck, thinning it and making the oponent very uncomfortable of playing their next turn. This is two stats below vanilla, and only pulls two secrets from your deck… one with a delay! So it’s obviously muuuuch weaker and I don’t think you would want to put Paladin secrets in your deck (which already cost you a card) just to get value out of this. I do see this however in a Secret Paladin deck in Wild, as a substitution of Mad Scientist (that deck normally runs one Scientist, maybe now they run one of these guys). So, it’s not totally useless competitively… 2/5 stars.
Silver Sword
So far only the Warrior weapon looks good. The Rogue and Paladin weapons are trash. This is waaaaay too overcosted. In big minions +1/+1 barely makes a difference. It would be fair at 7 mana, then you could do shenanigans with Odd Paladin flooding a board and buffing it more easily. As it stands, 8 mana is too much. Vinecleaver is much better. 1.5/5 stars.
Toki, Time-Tinker
Yes, it was a sarcastic comment. Would have been fun though to get unnerfed legendaries. Like a pre-nerf Yogg. 🙂
The Glass Knight
4 mana 4/3 with Divine Shield could already see play imho. The fact that you can regain it with cards like Truesilver Champion is also neat. I opened a Bolvar from KFT and I was about to dust it, but if I get this legendary in my packs, I might try a whacky Midrange Divine Shield Paladin deck, with Healing.
Leaves things open for experimentation and it would be an OK minion already without its special ability, so I’m giving it 3.5 out of 5 stars. I would spend my dust on something more OP though if given the choice.
Splintergraft
That would actually be sick. I can’t see this happening more than 1% of the games though.
Splintergraft
It looks like Druid got two bad legendaries this expo. It also looks like it will struggle this expo as a class, since I’m not seeing Hand Druid being a thing.
The best thing as people are saying would be to copy a Mountain Giant, which you should have in your Hand Druid deck anyway. Saronite Chain Gang would be nice, but it’s difficult they’ll both survive in Turn 7, since they also have Taunt. It has the potential of doing interesting combos, but so far it looks it will mostly be for memes.
2/5 stars.
Toki, Time-Tinker
So in Standard I get Wild Legendaries, what do I get in Wild? Pre-Nerf Legendaries? Something like 4-mana Leeroy or Patches with Charge? =P
Joking aside, this is a bad RNG meme legendary. Since Anomalus in WotoG, Mage had gotten on average quite good legendaries, Inkmaster Solia was normally cut but it wasn’t a bad legendary. I mean, they even got a good Quest and a good legendary Weapon… So it’s only fair that they get one bad one this time around.
What else should I say? 5/5 on 6 is a huge tempo loss. It CAN generate some good value in Control Mage when it’s turn 20 or so, but why would you run this instead of Elise the Trailblazer? Getting 5 cards is always better than just one, despite the one being a legendary. You won’t get Rag or Sylvanas often enough to justify this inclusion.
It will show up in highlights as “Best/Worse of Toki”. But won’t be competitive. 1/5 stars.
Voodoo Doll
Oh I love this card! Great flavor too! Allows for some great combos. 5/5 stars.
Will The Witchwood Bring Warrior Back into the Meta?
Control Warrior’s most reliable win condition is probably Fatiguing with Dead Man’s Hand. Maybe instead of Coldlight Oracle you play Acolyte of Pain + Warpath to draw the cards and AOE every turn. Then rinse and repeat the cycle with Dead Man’s Hand. Now that Jades are out of the way, and Kingsbane is not receiving support, it COULD work. Getting your deck Azaried from Control Warrior sucks though…
*Arcane Intellect, not Arcane Anomaly!
