I thought Amalgam Nightmare could be a power creep to Spider Tank, but then there are those rare cases where you appreciate not being eaten by a crab. So there is still some use for Spider Tank! 🙂

Thank you. It’s nice to be a rare sight on the Internet. But I’d rather be an epic or legendary to be honest… 😉 Still, too bad it’s not a common sight with others…
PS: Jokes aside, I never felt that SkywardStryk was rude at all. Maybe it’s because I’m in this site and not in e.g. HearthPwn.

Finally got our meme Hunter legendary! Aggro and Midrange Hunter wants to have finished the game by Turn 6-7. If the game extends to Turn 10, you are in top-deck mode looking for a Kill Command or similar. You won’t have many minions left in your hand, and this only puts an 8/8 on board the turn it’s played (quite some tempo loss). It could be great value if Control Hunter were a thing. The most similar thing we have to Control Hunter is Spell Hunter, which runs no minions. And I can’t imagine having more than one Zombeast in hand in the lategame… I’m thinking a best case scenario with Tundra Rhino and other beasts in hand, then you can close games if there’s not too many Taunts. But I honestly can’t see this legendary being your win condition, with all that I have explained. Ergo, meme-tier legendary. I hope I’m wrong, I like to play Hunter.

1. Auctionmaster Beardo costs 3 mana too
2. Yes, Spider Tank is obviously worse. It was an exaggeration.
3. Here you are right. Even one hero power refreshment can be strong. I’m thinking Baku Hunter, or Quest Warrior’s Hero Power. It was my initial consideration, and I thought they printed this to replace Beardo, which it can’t. But offers other cool stuff.
I change my assessment from 2 to 3.5 stars.
Clockwork Automaton
Nope. It’s deal 6 dmg heal 6. Lifesteal is not labeled as “heal X” like Priest’s power.
Clockwork Automaton
Obvious late game minion to get reach with your Hero Power. I’m thinking a possible combo is resurrecting Velen and this with the Spellstone. Then hit your oponent with an 8 damage SRA Hero Power. Holy Smite and Mind Blast are obviously better in this combo, but you may not have them in your hand, or you’ve already used them. There’s room for shenanigans, due to it being neutral. I like it. 4 out of 5 stars. Also, Mech!

This is a discount Auctionmaster Beardo. Can’t Exodia Paladin with it. Don’t think this is better than Spider Tank, or the new Amalgam Nightmare. Still OK in Arena. 2 out of 5 stars.
Vex Crow
Turn 4 play as Mage, going second:
1) Play this
2) Play Coin
3) Play Arcane Missiles
4) Profit!
Has a reminiscence to Piloted Shredder, although it needs two spells in order to get more value… It’s an OK card I believe. Not too good in Arena. 3 stars out of 5.

Actually I didn’t say it would see play in Priest, quite the contrary, I said that Priest already has an OP 4-drop named Duskbreaker, so it can’t compete with it. As I said it’s a fair neutral minion, but so far its best use seems to be a menagerie deck in Wild. It should see some play outside of Priest. We’ll see what other Dragons the other classes get.
Tempo Mage Deck List Guide - Boomsday - August 2018
If the Big Priest plays Barnes on 3/4 and gets an Obsidian Statue, it’s basically game over for you, unless you can Primordial Glyph into a Polymorph. The Obsidian Statue constantly being revived kills your minions and heals the Priest, so you won’t have enough burn to kill him. This scenario should only be like 20% of the time you face Big Priest, though. If he doesn’t have Barnes, you should deal enough damage to have lethal before Turn 6, because then he will drop a Shadow Essence. You can also kill at Turn 7 with burn spells. Alternatively set a Counterspell on Turn 5 so Shadow Essence will get countered. If Barnes rolls into Ysera, ignore the minions and go face.
Scaleworm
Dual tribe Beast-Dragon incoming. Amalgam Nightmare Dragon Hunter anyone?
Joking aside, I see this being decent. Duskbreaker is much better and is a dragon, but this is a fair neutral minion. Duskbreaker is just busted. Should see some play. 3.5 out of 5 stars.
Forest Guide
I understand now why they rotated Coldlight Oracle. Compared to this card Oracle is super OP.
WANTED!
Blizzard is laughing at Rogue right now. First with its counter-class legendary. Now this underpowered card. Possibilities that would make it fair:
(1) It gives you two coins instead of one
(2) It costs one less mana
(3) It does one more damage
Just think that 2 Mana Wrath already does 3 damage to a minion, AND has the flexibility of doing 1 damage + drawing a card.
Such a shame, because as others say, the flavour of the card is awesome.
Hagatha the Witch
Runespear has different RNG. Targeting is Hagatha’s advantage, but Runespear has two other advantages:
1 – you DISCOVER the spell. Less chance of getting useless Totemic Mights or Cryostasis.
2 – you do NOT pay the mana cost of the spell.
All in all, I believe the advantages cancel the disadvantages, and that Hagatha will be in the same meme-level as Runespear. We still need to see the Shaman spells, of course, but RIGHT NOW Hagatha looks bad.
Hagatha the Witch
I’m sure you’ll love getting Totemic Mights and Ancient Healings, those “great” cheap Shaman spells.
Hagatha the Witch
Lyra the Sunshard was effectively underestimated, but here’s the thing:
(1) It generates spells when casting spells. This means you can rotate cheap useless spells until you get something good. Silence? No problem. Fire Smite? Cast, next spell.
(2) Priests have Radiant Elemental, which further accentuates point 1. This means both 1 and 0 mana-cost spells can be rotated effectively until you get a good spell.
For Hagatha to be as good as Lyra, you would need 0-mana cost minions with Echo, or a broken interaction like Radiant Elemental was with Lyra. Also, Hagatha can’t rotate useless Totemic Mights or Ancient Healings like Lyra can rotate Silences. Finally, Lyra doesn’t destroy your board when entering play (so Hagatha with Aggro or Midrange Shaman is a clear anti-synergy). I can be wrong, of course, but my instinct says this will be quite worse than Lyra. And Lyra is a goodish card that is only OP with Radiant Elemental.
Hagatha the Witch
Disappointed. It was supposed to be OP… So you want cheap minions to get value with spells. Well once you have a board of tokens say goodbye to it if you play Hagatha thanks to its battlecry. And if you haven’t played Runespear enough, let me tell you: Shaman spells are on average quite bad. DK Rexxar has a better AOE and a better value-oriented Hero Power. And costs 2 less mana. Disappointed -> 2/5 stars.
Rebuke
It’s kind of the only counter to Aggro Paladin left once Witchwood hits. And we’ll see, there’s no more Netherspite Historian on 2 to reveal a dragon that activates Duskbreaker (one of those dragons could be an extra Duskbreaker, which destroyed Paladin). I do hope we don’t end in a Jade Druid/Raza Priest metagame like we had in KnC before the nerfs…
Rebuke
What??? This is much better than Loatheb. Loatheb costs 5 mana, and you can only have one copy of it in your deck!
Yes, you are right with this. I forgot the Velen + Spirit Lash combo.
