The Boomsday Project Launch Survival Guide - Launch/Release Time, Tips, & Information
Yes that is true. You will receive a Boomsday pack, though, so if you want a Witchwood one, finish the run.

I think the chance that I open a golden Whizbang is much lower than opening a regular Whizbang. And if that happens, it will have occupied the place of a regular legendary. I have been playing for a year and have only opened one golden legendary in all this time (a golden Nat Pagle).

I disagree this time with the “don’t craft any Legendary at launch” rule. For this expansion, I’m crafting Whizbang the Wonderful in golden before I open a single pack. That way I don’t risk opening it in normal form when I open packs. It’s going to be my first golden legendary craft, and I know it’s going to be worth it!
Demon Zoo Warlock Deck List Guide - Boomsday - August 2018
The list is cute with Void Analyst, but we all know that it’s just a bad version of Keleseth, on average. Vulgar Humonculous is the real 2-drop that can compete with Keleseth, and before the rotation I favored that version because it could run Bloodfury Potion, which curved nicely with the Humonculous. So I believe this list will definitely be strong, but a version with Keleseth will be stronger.
Hearthstone Patch Notes for Update 12.0 - Boomsday Cards, Arena Updates, Frozen Throne Celebration!
I mean, you could run Spiteful Druid with an Elemental shell. It was not the best version of Spiteful Druid, but you could run Ixlid for the synegies there, and now you don’t have them.
Boomship Recruit Warrior Deck List Guide - Boomsday - August 2018
Boom cannot Whirlwind, it can AOE the enemy board, but if you want to activate Rotface or Grommash, you need to use the hero power that deals 3 damage. Discover a Mech is good value, but it’s no Build-a-beast. Whirlwind is also great for Executes, but Boom has 3 hero powers that can also activate Execute consistently, so I won’t consider that an advantage. Overall, the only cards that synergize with Boom in the deck are the Omega Assemblies. I think that does not justify Boom over Garrosh. I personally believe Garrosh is underrated, and that Boom is too inconsistent to see play outside Mech decks. Of course, I could be wrong, and we will need to test this, but I’m pretty sure Garrosh fits this deck better.
Another card I would definitely include here is Weapons project. Great early game weapon vs Aggro and great weapon tech that will destroy Aluneth, Twig and Skull, three cards that can destroy this deck if left unchecked.
Boomship Recruit Warrior Deck List Guide - Boomsday - August 2018
I still believe you would prefer to run DK Garrosh instead of Dr Boom in Big Recruit Warrior. Great synergy with Grommash and Rotface, autowin vs Odd Paladin and extraordinary vs Rogue. Dr Boom only makes sense in a Mech deck.
Topsy Turvy
This is the best card Priest has received this set. And it’s still just a 3.5/5 card. That says everything. Really sad for Priests. Blizzard should feel ashamed.
Steel Rager
Love the flavor. However, for it to be fair, it should have Charge instead of Rush. Remember how Magma Rager became a great card in the Dungeon Run when the Kobold Pirate gave it Charge and it Smorced you? Now I do understand having a Mech with Charge would open the gate to OTKs with Magnetize, and that it should have Rush. Well then leave it at 3 mana, like all other Ragers. It would be a good card, for a change.
Spark Drill
Even at 5 mana it would be bad. Should be 4 mana. Combine it with the Mechma Rager and we have a decent card.
Piloted Reaper
This is WAY worse than Piloted Shredder. It either loses you card advantage if it summons something, or doesn’t summon anything if you have no low-cost minions in hand (and by turn 4 that’s a likely scenario). Don’t understand the high ratings, this is a 2.5/5 card at best. At least you can meme with Millhouse Manastorm.
Mecharoo
Nobody has said this, but this is the perfect Defile/Lord Godfrey fodder. Howlfiend + Treachery + this + Defile = profit. Also great, sticky 1-drop, especially in a meta with Magnetize. 5/5 stars
Weapons Project
This could be one of my favorite cards in the set. Firstly, it can fill the void after Fiery Win Axes nerf. The Witchwood Axe was also a 2-mana 2 attack weapon, but the extra durability is huge, whereas the other DR was normally meh. Also, this acts as an anti-weapon tech, gives value to your Oozes and Harrison, and the 6 extra Armor can be comboed with Reckless Flurry or Shield Slam. Finally, the 6 armor to opponent can actually be good, disrupting Heal Zoo’s plan. The main downside as I see it is giving Odd Rogue a better weapon than their hero power. This means they can use the extra mana to dump more stuff on the board, and Deadly Poison gets more value. But that’s just one matchup where this can be clunky. Otherwise it’s great, I love it, will be slotted in every Control Warrior deck except Odd. 4.5/5 stars.
Coppertail Imposter
I believe this card has a secret interaction that everyone is missing right now: Shudderwock. You can make a value oriented Shudderwock with Twilight Drakes and stuff, and then give it Stealth so that it’s very difficult to remove on the opponent’s turn (Would need Twisting Nether, SR Anduin, etc). Right now the Grumble approach is the better Shudderwock combo, but once it rotates, I see this as an essential battlecry for Shudderwock to be your win condition in Standard.
Autodefense Matrix
It depends on the order. If this is played before the Noble Sac, it will trigger and give Divine Shield on the attacked minion, and then the Defender will block the attack. But if you played Noble Sac before, then the Defender will come to block the attack, and then this will give Divine Shield to the Defender (since it’s the new attack target). So yes there is some anti-synergy.
The Storm Bringer
Technically it does combo (you see two changes) but you’re right, the effect is the same as triggering just once.
Dr. Morrigan
Even if this has the potential to “go infinite”, an 8 mana 5/5 without a meaningful impact is hardly worth playing. The only way this can be useful is if you could attack with it, get it killed and pull something like Malygos with all mana from your turn to cast spells. Seems too farfetched. 0.5/5 stars.
Yes.
