#1 Legend Boomsday Togwaggle Druid (Sipiwi)
I think that UI will be nerfed this next set of nerfs. The 5s will be changed to 4s. It still will be a great card, and occasionally even better because you won’t risk burning due to overdraw. But it’s baffling that the card has been untouched all this time.

Third copy of Arcane Tyrant, Giggling Inventor or MCT, whatever’s best in the matchup. Floop is just an outstanding card, period.
Is a Combo Meta Good for the Game?
Changing Mecha’thun to Battlecry would make it an Auto-include in Control decks. It would be the backup win-con. I think it would be more obnoxious then.
Is a Combo Meta Good for the Game?
I personally love combo decks, firstly because someone has to think them first (Mecha’thun Priest combo was genious), secondly because you still have to balance the rest of the deck and thirdly because it feels as a great achievement to pull the combo off. Now, in my opinion, all archetypes should be somehow represented for a healthy balance of the game. There should be good aggro, combo, midrange and control decks. Control decks right now suffer if they are not Warlock. They obviously need a Dirty Rat kind of interaction, so give them that. Now, there’s still other effects which we can’t interact with: battlecries. Seriously. Deathrattles can at least be silenced or transformed. But we have no way of preventing or modifying a battlecry. Many combo decks would have a tough time if there was a neutral secret-type of card which read (the next battlecry does not trigger). Also, SECRETS! Only a few classes have access to them, I guess because of flavor. But there should be more of them, they greatly increase interactivity in this game.
Tavern Brawl Your Standard Brawliseum (Boomsday Edition) - Best Decks for the Brawliseum
Went 12-1 with Odd Rogue. I wasn’t expecting the deck to be that good, but it turns out that it’s great vs all Warlocks and Deathrattle Hunters out there. The only loss was vs a Taunt Druid that had two Wild Growths in the starting hand, two Spellstones to clear my HCT and Flappy Bird, and a Primordial Drake to AOE the board I had left.
I understand those that don’t like this kind of Brawls, but they’re an excellent opportunity for skilled players with a Tier 1 or 2 deck to farm gold. It’s not just that you earn Arena rewards (and from 7 wins onwards you go infinite), but you ALSO get 10 gold per 3 wins because it’s a Tavern Brawl. Also, they don’t happen that often: once every new expansion release and once or twice a year for the Wild format, if I recall correctly.
Mecha'thun Decks Are Here - How To Play With And Against The Mecha'thun Combos
I am just fascinated that a card thought to be meme and unplayable (yet great favor), has spawned so many new decks and strategies! Great job, Blizzard!
Evolve Token Shaman Deck List Guide (The Storm Bringer) - Boomsday - August 2018
When Evolve Shaman was powerful, I was quite new to the game and had a very small collection. DK Thrall was however the free DK I got, so it was quite sad that I couldn’t play Evolve Shaman back then. It’s a shame Evolve is not a Classic spell, it should be rotated back in as it’s now part of Shaman’s identity. Recently I have opened 2x Corridor Creeper and 1x Unstable Evolution, which were staples back in KnC. However I don’t see them in your list. I’ve also seen some hipster builds where you play Murmuring Elemental followed by DK Thrall for a massive upgrade of the board. Since I have DK Thrall, I will try the older build with the cards I now have, and also your build if I’m “lucky” enough to unpack the new legendaries from your list.
Mecha'thun Even Warlock Deck List Guide - Boomsday - August 2018
I would see the 2-card combo as a tech vs super-greedy Control decks. Evenlock already has a few flexible spots with the likes of Black Knight, Stubborn Gastropod and Dread Infernal, which shine in certain matchups. I would definitely not cut Twilight Drakes in an Evenlock list, but hey, you’re a better player than I am, it’s more probable that you are right and I’m wrong.
Mecha'thun Even Warlock Deck List Guide - Boomsday - August 2018
To be honest, I think the deck would be more effective by removing combo pieces. Just include one Mecha’thun and one Cataclysm. There’s many matchups where the Even Warlock runs out of steam because the opponent removed all the big threats, and many times you die because of Fatigue. It’s in those matchups where Mecha’thun would shine. After you draw your whole deck, you play it naked for 10 mana. By that point in the game, it’s very probable that the opponent is out of removal and silence, so it’s not impossible for Mecha’thun to survive a turn. Then Cataclysm. By including 2x Galvanizer and 1x Bloodbloom you are adding three extra dead cards during the other stages of the game. Two dead cards is OK in Even Warlock, since you normally have a full hand anyway, but five…
The Boomsday Project Launch Survival Guide - Launch/Release Time, Tips, & Information
I think many pros and whales do this, they craft the golden legendaries they want before opening packs. Most of us don’t swim in Arcane Dust, so we never would do this, but for things like Whizbang I am doing the exception.
The Boomsday Project Launch Survival Guide - Launch/Release Time, Tips, & Information
Well this is the first (and maybe last?) time that crafting a golden legendary will allow you to play 18 decks with all golden cards. Golden obviously doesn’t mean anything in game-play, but since we are crafting a non-competitive legendary, we might as well go all-in on him. That’s my reasoning.
Clone Priest Deck List Guide - Boomsday - August 2018
Let’s say this is how the curve goes: T1 you drop Test Subject, T2 PW:Shield + PW:Shield, T3 Divine Spirit + Inner Fire for some sweet 12 face damage. Then you enter T4 where you will get Spellbreakered, Polymorphed or Hexed immediately. Not to mention that Aggro will attack your minion while it has 0 attack. The Nightmare / Topsy Turvy combo can be viable starting Turns 5+, but by that time your opponent will have already disabled the Test Subject. I know I would.

And Aggro will kill you by Turn 5 instead.
Clone Priest Deck List Guide - Boomsday - August 2018
Two things: this is probably not gonna work. If you do get a Test Subject out early and start buffing it according to the plan, the enemy will Silence or transform it. Thus, your spells WON’T come back. Secondly, I would definitely include one copy of Mass Dispel. If a minion sticks on the board and you have the combo, it’s really annoying if you can’t go through 1 or 2 Taunts for lethal. With Shadow Visions you can fetch a copy of it if necessary, but you really need something against Voidlords & co.
Whizbang the Wonderful Deck Recipes List - Descent of Dragons Decks, Hero Power, Golden Decks, & More!
Whizbang could be considered its own class and its own deck. Nobody in their sane mind would ban an opponent’s Whizbang, it’s a very likely guaranteed victory. If someone had the courage to bring it to a tournament, the other players should just take a glance at the deck recipes and they’ll be fine. But I guess Blizzard does it in case they make good deck recipes in the future, in which case some pros would bring it to play the mindgames.
Discover in Boomsday - What Can You Expect to Find in This Standard Format?
Why would you run a Discover card instead of the card itself? Good question, but the answer can be as obvious as: I don’t have the card or I can’t include it in my deck. Infamous example being Sunkeeper Tarim in Odd Paladin. I know that if I don’t open the Hunter legendary spell, I will include Arcane Dynamo in my Big Beast Hunter deck, just for the lolz. In any case, we all agree that Discover is a great mechanic!
Whizbang the Wonderful Deck Recipes List - Descent of Dragons Decks, Hero Power, Golden Decks, & More!
I don’t understand the no-tournament rule. It’s not like anyone would be bringing Whizbang to a tournament, unless Blizzard changes the deck recipes to T1/T2 decks.
The Boomsday Project Launch Survival Guide - Launch/Release Time, Tips, & Information
That is right. The no-duplicate in legendaries rule applies irrelevant of it being normal or golden. So if you have it golden, you won’t open it normal, and if you have it normal, you will not open it golden.
Kobolds and Catacombs is such a deranged set. Just look at ALL the epics that are good crafts our auto-crafts – 17 total. 3 of those were nerfed already: Corridor Creeper, Call to Arms, Spiteful Summoner. And Branching Paths and Carnivorous Cube could hit the nerf hammer in the future too. It’s just insane compared to the epics in other sets. I’m still missing many of those cards even though it’s the set I crafted the most epics from. And yes, I did open the only useless epic of the set four times: Shimmering Courser.
