Da Undatakah
Imagine this in Deathrattle Hunter. Turn 9 this + Play Dead. Me likes it!
Linecracker
Pack fillerrrrr… Although it will probably be good in Solo Adventures, just like Gurubashi Berserker is.
Bog Slosher
How long can this go on? How long can this go on? How long…? MY JAWS THAT BITE! MY CLAWS THAT CATCH!
Gonk, the Raptor
I’d like to see the salt in r/fuckdruid when this clears a board of tokens. “Druid was weak to wide boards, why do they give them this broken shit?” etc etc
Elemental Evocation
This looks very strong. Elemental Mage will probably replace Tempo Mage now.
Emberscale Drake
I’m unsure whether the Armor part is that useful… If you’re Aggro/Tempo, your Armor doesn’t really matter. If you’re control (maybe Odd Warrior?) you need to include other Dragons for this to prop. So would you really include this over Cobalt Scalebane? It’s still good for Shield Slam, so that might make this card viable, otherwise Scalebane seems so much better.
Big Bad Voodoo
This should have costed 1 mana. Unstable Evolution just seems so much better, and it’s just an OK card in Constructed. By costing 1 mana I could have included it in an Odd Overload Shaman jank deck (this deck is missing Ancestral Spirit from the original Overload Shaman to attach to the Snowfury Giants). It would have made Snowfury Giants spawn Mountain Giants on death, which would have been sweet. Oh well.
Wardruid Loti
I mean, we don’t want Druid to get more busted tools, but we do get pissed off when they receive unplayable stuff (Duskfallen Aviana, now this). The only time this is a useful card is with Fandral. I think it’s time Druids got a spell that gives your next Choose One card both choices combined (maybe a 2-mana spell? Something like Paladin’s Rebuke with Loatheb). But until then, this is unplayable. I mean, you can still include it if for some reason you want a 3rd copy of Druid of the Scythe, because this is what it is: a worse version of Druid of the Scythe.
Master's Call
Hunter has traditionally been busted with good card draw (remember pre-nerf Starving Buzzard + UTH combo?). And the Hunter Beast synergies have also always been great. So… is this busted? We will have to wait and see, but I DON’T THINK SO. You see, to make this a great card, your minions can ONLY be Beasts in your deck. And there’s some sweet Beast synergy minions that are hard to cut. Houndmaster? Houndmaster Shaw? Kathrena? Untamed Beastmaster? Those sweet, sweet cards would all need to be cut for this to be good, otherwise you’d rather have a Stitched Tracker, which leaves a 2/2 body behind…
Stampeding Roar
Big Beast Druid could finally be a worthy deck. Not only is Druid getting good tools this expansion. There is still Witching Hour. Witching Hour has been used pretty much only for Hadronox competitively, but if you ramp into this and this pulls Tyrantus, then you can summon more Tyrantus for 3 mana with Witching Hour. Can’t tell if that deck will be better than the other tried and tested T1-T2 Druid decks in the meta, but I will definitely try Big Beast Druid.
Arcanosaur
Mage and Priest are right now in the same spot in Standard: quite low. Elementals have always had a worse condition than Dragons: you are forced to play an Elemental the turn before if you want to have the effect the turn afterwards, whereas you have more liberty of not playing stuff with Dragons. This Arcanosaur looks like a bad card, considering Mage already sports quite a lot of AOE removal anyway.
Arcanosaur
So priests get a conditional 4 mana 3/3 Hellfire and Mages get a 6 mana 3/3 worse conditional Hellfire? Jaina should be pissed.
Haunting Visions
Again, a spell that you wouldn’t main deck but that you’d love to see come from Hagatha.
Firetree Witchdoctor
Good thing with Netherspite Historian is that it was 1/3 stats and discovered another Dragon (which allowed Dragon synergies to continue). This has 2/2 stats, which is much worse in this meta (Odd Rogue weapon, 2/1 one drops…), and an extra spell is nice, but definitely not in the same level as an extra Dragon. So this is clearly worse. Still, I’m interested in trying the new Spiteful Priest with this guy and Shadow Ascendant and push out Keleseth (if you didn’t get Keleseth on T2 with Spiteful Priest you usually fell behind).
Likkim
Nice new weapon for Even Overload Shaman. Maybe in Standard it doesn’t shine that much, but in Wild with Totem Golem and 4 mana 7/7 this looks like a great weapon, definitely better than the normal 2 mana 2/3 Overload (1) one.
Lyra the Sunshard fodder.
