Ratchet Privateer
Eeh. This is more used for Aggro Orianeted Deck, but It will still see some form of Play. It does have Pirate however, no maybe Pirates decks will use and abuse this. who knows. 3 Stars has potental.
Swinetusk Shank
Update: It says here it’s saying Poisons, like Deadly Poison and such.
Yeeeah, I don’t know exactly, though Paralytic Poison is going to be very interesting. I actually think you can use both this and Self-Sharping Sword.
Poor Assassin’s Blade. Okay, never mind, 5 stars then.
Swinetusk Shank
I think this is a Poison in general? Maybe with both as a Poison minion or Posious weapon?
If so then I can see this being used for a Secret Rouge Idea. 4 Stars, yeah sure, but Rouge isn’t really made for Attacking Minions with her own face, so… There’s only so much ROuge can do with this blade, especially since she isn’t known for Taunts.
Scabbs Cutterbutter
5 Stars instantly. Nothing music to say. We’ve seen how gross Rouge loves her Discounts, so it’s no big surprise that pretty much every Rouge will use and Abuse Scabbs Cutterbutter. Makes you wonder about that Karzakus though, huh.
Overlord Saurfang
So, just looking at my Homework, if Warrior were to have Barren Blacksmith and Samuro die, This is effectively a 7 mana “Deal 6 Damage to all Enemy Minions, assuming that the Blacksmith uses the Activation First. However even though this also sounds like a 50/50 idea, but it’s still really nice. Even having them as just Ressuractions without the free Whirlwind Damage, I think Overlord Saurfang is a Strong Card, becuase Ressuractions are just Strong in general, so, 5 Stars.
Conviction (Rank 1)
Looking and Judging the Card as it is, 1 Mana Rank 1 is a 0 Star. 1 Mana Rank 5 is a 3 Star at worst-case scenario, and lastly, 1 mana Rank 3 is a 4 Star. Now, Becuase of Warcleric and Dude Paladin, and I’m going to actually give it 5 but only for Dude Paladin especially. I think Conviction even if it doesn’t hit anything, the idea that you have Warcleric to generate an army of 2/2s with lifesteal, It’s going to make Convection that much more powerful. But I think it’s fair to say that Conviction with as early as Rank 2, is going to be 4 Stars when It’s the Paladin’s Turn.
Barrens Blacksmith
I’m actually curious to see Warrior with Midrange and Barrens Blacksmith. I think it’s going to be a Fun Idea.
Sadly The Bombs will be going away, but seeming that Warrior is still playing Menagerie or N’Zoth at just the top of my head, I think, yeah, it could work for Warrior.
Xyrella
Okay, now we’re taking. I think Xyrella is a very flavourful card for Priest. I also think that Shadow Priest might actually be the New Fun and Probably Annoying Deck to play. But hey. At least pressure priest isn’t a thing any– ohh.. that’s still an.. archetype… Oof.
Oh well, at least Sandhoof and Convincing aren’t here anymore, Thank the Light.
Regardless, will see play, bit might be a tad bit too slow for competitive play or might be a tad bit too overpowered for its own good. We’ll just have to see, but, I’m going to give this at least 4 Stars. I’d give it 5, but I’m too sure how Comptivite is going to take it. Then again, we’ve seen how stupid Showreaper Anduin can be with its Hero Power Combo Alone.
Rokara
So, when I first looked at the card as it is as a stand-alone, It just felt very awkward for me, and so I felt as if it’s just a 2/3 with rush and has some sort of Niche of power, but, when coming with the new Watch Post Deck, to make Warrior now more Token-y, I think it serves more a propose over there. Now, I still think that it’s still just going to really become just a “Sometimes 2 mana 3/4 with Rush” becuase one of your minions are going to survive, but Give Warrior a fair shot with Watch Post, and Depending on how much the buffs can do for Warrior, and I think It might be pretty good. It’s just that it’s going to feel PREEEETY Clunky to just play Rokara as it is as a stand-alone, So. 2 Stars for your average Warrior, but 3 Stars for this Supposed Watch Post Warrior.
Death Speaker Blackthorn
I think hearthstone just wants to give Demon Hunter a new Architype, instead of just heading his opponent to Death all the time, or making an OTK / Aggro Deck.
Death Speaker Blackthorn
Instant 5 stars, however I STILL! Think that Deathrattle Demon Hunters just a bit more firepower when it comes to Deathrattles. I think Even with Death Speaker Blackthorn, I don’t think that Deathratte Demon Hunter will be competitive enough as it is. It needs a bit more Deathrattle Cards for it to be officially be experimented on.
Crossroads Watch Post
Eeeehh.. If it weren’t for Battlescar it would have been the first actual 1 Star card at the very first glence, in my opinion, that not even Treant Druid would consider using, However it does encourage the opponent to use AoE Spells to try and counter attack.
I think You will get Buff first, and then your opponent will get the spell activation. Sooo… Come to think of it, I think Druid and Paladin will at least give the Crossroads a Try, and see if they would like using this card. I’m actually going to give it 3 Stars. I know a lot of people are going to give it just 2 or 1 star, maybe even 0 for how trash they believe Crossoroads is, BUT! If you were to play Token escifically, I think this is fine, Sure.
Mor'shan Watch Post
So yeah, Morshan Watch Post gets 4 Stars. TL;DR, It’s a Tar Creeper in Disguise.
3 mana 3/5 that acts as a soft taunt? ANd has this feeling like it’s the Spirit of Tar Creeper Returning to Hearthstone. I actually think that Morshan Watch post, even without Battlescar is going to be the next universal card of Hearthstone for whenever you want to protect yourself in the early game. It doesn’t attack, sure, but it’s meant to protect you like a soft taunt, becuase of the grunts that the opponent is going to summon for you. I think the reason why Ogremancer specifically failed to be a strong card in Hearthstone is due to its inferior power spike whenever your opponent plays a spell.
I think if Hearthsont were to give it a 5 mana 2/6 but to give it Elusive, and I think It would Power Spike since it Seriously discourages the opponent to play spells.
Kargal Battlescar
So the Idea for a Watchpost Deck is that if you feel like your more of a Mini-Game then anything, and I’m actually excited for what the Barren Solo Adventures are going to be. Regardless, I think this card overall is ooooo-kay. It gets the job done, however I’m not entirely to fond with the Crossroads Watch post, But…! Who knows. Now in Terms of Who can use a Watchpost Deck, I think It’s Any Class that can help stall out to give them breathing from or to give them buffs to help them survive better. That or just LOTS of Card draw just because.
So.. Demon Hunter COULD use Kargal Battlescar, just becuase He is known for having the most powerful card draws in Hearthstone. But then again… You would also just use Soul.
I’m not too sure what would both Soul and Watchpost Demon Hunter is going to look like, Although it sound like a Scary Token-y Midrange-y Deck.
Druid, Sure, Although I think Hearthstone wants Druid to go more for Treaents and Taunts for now.
Hunter is going for Beasts, so I think Kargal would be too slow for Hunters.
Mage COULD Try it out and Experiment. Could be a Good Deck, Could be a Bad Deck, we’ll just have to see.
Paladin with Librams can sorta work. The only Problem I have with Paladin is that He lacks Card Draw in my opinion, Although! Maybe this is where the Secret package might come in handy. Maybe adding in Secrets and Watposts for Paladin is going to sound like a mad Scientist idea that sounds like it might not exactly work, but maybe in reality it’s actually good. Now, I said it once and I said again with Smythe, and I still believe that the Secret package CAN be good, but it’s just going to feel clunky.
Prist can do it, becuase he is easily known for it’s control value, plus Apoethsis is a strong card.
Rouges can do it, but I think they just want to spam Pirates and Wepaons right now.
Shamans will absolutely try this out, escpailly since Evolve Shaman is in the Meta. Even if the Watchposts aren’t as great as we expect them to be, (which I think they would) Shaman will as least try out the newest version yet of Evolve Shaman but with maybe both Murlocs and Watchpost.
Warriors, Escpially Garrosh, is just going to be the most Themable but Memeable looking of the Class, although he has his own value of generating and card draw thanks to War Cache and Cutting Class, so, I think Warrior will be fine.
And Lastly, Warlocks. I think Warlocks could also try it out, Escpailly with Primelock, where they spam Envoy and Ebonlocke. Although i do think that Warlock might be a slower and more steadier version of the whole class.
So yeah, I think Kargal is going to be just fine. We’ll have to see how powerful the Watch Posts are going to be, But, now if you want to play a Midrange TOken style deck, now you can do so.
5 Stars for Variety, and Kargal himself, even if the Watchposts aren’t as great as we assume of it, is getting 4 Stars. There’ just no way you can simply ignore the 5/5s casually, escpially if he summoned 2 of them.
Blood Shard Bristleback
Huh. So my idea wasn’t so crazy after all. Cool. I just thought it felt too unrealistic. I guess not.
Barrens Blacksmith
I’m not going to write it off imminently, I think with the Frenzy Idea, that this should belong with let’s say a Token Druid Deck. We’ve seen how Absurd Druid can be with Treants. And Imagine a Board filled with 4/4 Treants on let’s say Turn 8.
I’m going to stick with my gut and I’m going to give this 4 Stars. Again, It’s just going o be not appetizing for A LOT of players to think that “Oh you can only use Broom for this to work” but really you can even use Wrath if that card is still around and Barrens Blacksmith is suddenly a disgustingly good card.
Give it some polish and time, and I think it’s going to Shine.
Firemancer Flurgl
Now THIS. We gotta talk about this.
This is effectively just a Cheaper Altruis the Outcast for Murloc Shaman, but you REALLY got to keep the minion alive.
Unlike Altruis with Demon Hunter where you have Tons of Card Draw, Murloc Shaman can really do that at least for right now, so they have to depend on Weapons, and Buffs in general in order to survive, and while a 2 mana 2/3 is fine, I think Shaman just needs to learn the Lesson of Murloc paladin before TIp the Scales (if I’m not lost) where they even had Sir Finley and they weren’t even a Highlander deck. It was just a dedicated Murloc Paladin Deck. I think if they were to follow those rules, but for Shaman, I think Murloc Shaman can go far again. However, with that said, they still need Card Draw becuase they WILL run out of gas by like turn 7-10 in my opinion.
You also need to start thinking about your murlocs a bit more instead of going completely aggro and somewhat braindead since his Passive can be terrifying but only when done right.
It’s going to take some experimenting before Murloc Shaman starts to really kick in, trying to find out what Murloc and what card works with what for what reason, so they will start off pretty clunky at first, but then they’ll probably get going.
I have high hopes for Murloc Shaman, but I can also see them just as much making me pull me hair how the power can just spike all of a sudden if they know what they are doing. I have a love-hate relationship with Flurgl already. It’s really fun to play with and looks to be really annoying to deal with if you don’t have spells. 5 Stars.
Warsong Envoy
It’s a 1 mana 1/3 that plays a big support role.
I also learned that Frenzy is just whenever you get damaged and survive overall. So using this with Minefield forever, (given the opportunity) can seriously give you some attack buffs.
But even just a 1 mana 1/3 as it is, is universally powerful across ANY deck in general. So I’m giving this 5 stars as well. Whenever Warrior needs something that’s 1 mana, the first thing that they will probably look at without realizing would now be this card especially.
4 Mana 5/4 with taunt is fine. But I think more priests then warriors would use this. Everyone else wouldn’t really touch it, becuase they don’t have use for it, but Priest can use this for Xyrella, and Warriors can– oh. … Never mind then, it’s just Priest.
2 Stars to everyone, 4 Stars for priests.
