Warsong Outrider
Yeah. It’s just a really nice 5/4 minion with Rush. and while It’s not Kirin’Tor Elite, gaining +1/+1 to sacrifice Charge with Rush, I think makes up for it in my opinion. Now maybe Warrior would just write this off, but I still see potential with Warsong, So long it doesn’t get completely steamrolled by aggro decks.
3 Stars, has potential, and extra Kudo Points for giving me Optimism with Warsong specifically.
War Cache
It’s basically Hunter’s Pack, but for Warrior. Now while Hunter’s Pack wasn’t as effective as it wanted to be, since the Random Beast was sometimes a Joke, and while both having a secret and a Weapon was also nice, Hunter still needed a bit more firepower as well. So I think War Cache will actually work for Warrior, escpailly since It’s a Minion, Spell and Weapon. And, Yes, You can even find Lord Barov as well. So you could also Potentially get 2 Free Delayed Brawls, as well.
4 stars, it’s a 3 Mana Draw 3 Specific Cards that are blessed by Yogg.
Taelan Fordring
Basically the Counter Opposite of what the Original Fordring is trying to do, except it’s also trying to favour drawing for Big Decks instead, such as Big Druid, Paladin or Warrior. Players just need to find a way to really get down and dirty with the Fordring (Not the other Fordring, this Fordring.)
4 Stars, can get disgusting when done right.
Shadowed Spirit
It’s just a nice Mini Mind Blast for your opponent once it dies. Not as scary as the Original Mind Blast, but still something to take note off, becuase some Priest Decks will try and abuse Shadowed Spirit.
4 Stars.
Selective Breeder
5 Stars. Now LET ME EXPLAIN. And it has to do with Both Leoroxx and Guardian Animals.
This is effectively a Novice Engineer for Hunters that are looking for A Specific Beats for their Powerspike for Leoroxx or their Guardian Animals. for example; this can easily be a card used for Rhino HUnter, where your trampling Rhinos will not only deal 5 damage to the opponent but when it overkills, that excess damage to be given to the opponent as well. Remember that Moonfang is just as terrifying as well, a 5 mana 6/3 that might as well be a 6/1 with 2 Divine Shields. And so, while you may not exactly see it just yet, it has a lot of scary potential for what a selective breeder has to offer.
Ritual of Doom
This is only really used as more of a swarm or hyperaggro style deck for Warlock, but when it works, boy does a 0 mana 5/5 demon feel good. Expect kinda. I thought about how it was a 0 mana 5/5, but with “minus Stats” becuase you had to sacrifice a minion for it, but since these are usually just 1/1s we’re dealing with here, and that Galakrond will probably not be around anymore, now warlock has to be more creative or braindead, depending, on how to use and abuse RItual fo Doom.
5 Stars, but only if it works. Otherwise, 2, becuase it’s hard to get 5 minions on the board unless you just spam minion summons.
Reckoning
Eeh. It’s a 1 mana Vaporise, that won’t easily be triggered. Usually, Secret paladin doesn’t work, unless you can cheat it out from your deck to your play, but both Reckoning and Oh My Yogg! are the only 2 secrets for now that I would legit consider for paladin. This won’t do that much jack against most aggro or even tempo decks at times, but who knows, maybe you manage to take down or even scare the enemies taunt minions or Big Minions from steamrolling you for once when your behind.
And I wouldn’t exactly just write this down as “Instant 5 Stars, becuase my Nostalgia told me that Secret Paladin is OP OP”, but if you can somehow find a way to really cheat out your Secrets, like let’s say Inconspicuous Rider, then yes, I can see why people would go crazy for a card like Reckoning, especially along with Oh My Yogg.
Overall 3 Stars, has the potential to be disgustingly good for paladin.
Pursuit of Justice
5 Stars, Dude Paladin is back. ‘Nuff Said. But let’s see if it can test the time against Burn Mage.
This is a Tier 1 Card for me, but you need to draw it out early. The pursuit of Justice for Paladin is what a 1 mana 1/3 Mana Wyrm was for Mage; you don’t realize how actually threatening it is, until it’s basically too late for them.
Onyxia the Broodmother
So basically put, whatever gruul tries to do, for the most part, Onyxia does it better, and for Dragon Priest, They will Proooabply use Onyxia as well, just becuase they saw the power of Shu’ma, and now Surpingly scary Shu’ma is, even if you’re not trying to evolve with Shaman, let’s say. Though I am not entirely sure who else will actually use Onyxia, is still a card to consider as a powerful niche one, for sure. 3 Stars, has potential, but will probably be used as a Tech Card.
Nozdormu the Eternal
Other then for Memesakes, I don’t think that players will ACTUALLY use Nozformu. The only Players that will legit use it is Dragon Priest, becuase this is effectively a “6 mana” 8/8 body for them, and Aggro players since they just check out their minions and spells out almost instantly, while the opponent might need a deep thought about how to not get steamrolled by a hyper aggro deck. Other then That, I think Nozdormu for the rest of the other decks out there will just be one of those minions that thought that will see a lot of play but they won’t. And then they’ll probably trim this out for a Ysera, or something.
5 Stars will see play for Aggro and Dragon Priests. Probably even 1 star for Slower Decks, because they will often handicap themselves since they need to think. This is an Anti-Thinking Card.
Nordrassil Druid
Now, this CAN effectily just become a 1 mana 3/5 for a Lot of Druids, but depending on what will happen, Being able to gain free Mana Crystals like it’s your everyday job might not be so easy anymore, since I think Both Nourish, and Wild Growth might be going away. So is more used as a Minion of Old Malygos Druid instead. And Even Then, Moonfire might not return either. So, Though This Is a Really nice minion, I think Hearthstone had pushed Druids to finally forcing themselves to liking the Eclipse Cards.
This is Easily a 4 Star Card, and I know that Druids WILL use and Abuse this, but I guess I’m just not entirely seeing just how much raw power having a 4 mana minion to try and discount itself effectily down to a “1 Mana minion” Really is.
Kor'vas Bloodthorn
5 Stars Instantly, escpaily if you have Kayn Sunfury and Il’gynoth. It really may not look like much, but this is effectively a 2 Mana “Deal 4 Damage” at some cases. with a Potential free shadowstep for itself. Effectivly making itself it’s own Headcrack that works better then the original Headcrack itself.
You can also just read this as just an even more cheaper but somewhat more watered-down version of Zilliax as well, which was a 5 Mana 3/2, with Rush, Taunt, Lifesteal, And Divine Shield. It also Had Magnatic, but unless you were playing Mech Egg Paladin, or you also used Snip-Snap, Maganitic wasn’t used. And yes, Zilliax would often shield you for 6, since the Taunt played that much of a big role Escpially on Turn 5-6.
Illidari Inquisitor
So the way on how I’m trying this is that this essentially cares like an “Extra inner Demons” for Demon Hunter, expect that Illadin also has “Windfury.”
Depending on how Slow or Fast the Meta is going to be. And I’m still looking at Aegwynn Burn Mage right now, then Inquisitor is not a minion to be taken lightly. I’ve had my many fair shares with OTK King Krush Hunter, where you get 3 Copies of King Krush, and then obliterate the opponent becuase of your Leoroxx, so, maybe there’s a Leoroxx for Demon Hunter as well. So, while Demon Hunter can’t go as insane as he truly wants to be, I’d say to just get 1 trim of Inquisitor and use it more as either an Execute (If I am actually reading it write.) And even I’m reading it wrong, it’s more or less an 8/8 that will probably still live and kills a minion. And Now it acts as a soft taunt for you.
3 Stars, though I’m uncertain as to how powerful it really it is, it has great potential but it needs to prove itself, first.
Gan'arg Glaivesmith
This is a very nice minion that also gives you what Demon Hunter Tends to be doing, but I think you may just want 1 copy of Ganarg Glaivesmith, depending. It could be that you are using Felosophy for your Bladed Ladies as well, and 3 Mana, along with trying to get yet another 3 attacks for a huge Bladed Discount might be a bit overboard or expansive for some Demon Hunters, so, It really just depends at to what Demon Hunter is trying to do. Regardless, this is still a minion that shouldn’t be taken that lightly either. It still has the potential to scare some of its opponents away from what plenty might see as “Just a Body to act as a Soft Taunt.”
3 Stars, Has Potential.
Fogsail Freebooter
This is a very nice and flavourful Card for probably Pirate Weapon Warrior, that’s trying to go all Hyperaggro up against other opponents, and while it is an impressive minion, With both Fogsail and Bloodsail combined, I still think that it’s just not enough to take down a Burn Mage, But it will definatelly start sacrig the bejesus out of other Classes. Look out for ANYONE that can use a weapon, not just Warrior.
I’ve heard that Rouge is popping off with Self-Sharping Sword, and even Paladin and Hunter are starting to consider using their weapons again from what they are seeing.
4 Stars. It’s a Very Solid Card, but may struggle against Burn Mage.
Focused Will
Eeh. It needs to be a bit more specific as to what you are doing. I don’t think Silence Priest will be played anytime soon, and I think this is even just a direct nerf to a lot of Priests out there, escpailly when they are playing Miracle Priest; Myself included. Maybe you use it for your Battlecry Minions, since they’ve already done their job, and now they have nothing else to truly be used other than a meatshield for their priest.
I’m just going to write this off and say that it’s 2 Stars for actually using Focused Will in your deck, but 4 Stars for Generating it. It’s such an awkwardly used card unless you’re obviously going for the execute.
Enslaved Fel Lord
I actually like Snslaved Fel Lord, but the biggest problem about the Card is the Cost. For a 7 Mana 4/10, and tends to try and take down smaller minions, it’s doing its jo completely wrong. Though you could say that Hunters and Druids used to play Lake Threshers, Yes, but that’s becuase they also had Animal Guardians, Becuase of it, which also gave the Threshers Rush, they managed to pull them out.
So It’s more like an “8 Mana 4/10 with Taunt, “Rush” and “Discard a Card”, that can also damage the minions next to whomever this attacks, becuase of this minion to be actually effective, it also needs Broomstick. Maybe this is all in my head, and don’t get me wrong, I do like this card a lot. But I only wish that it was used more than just an anti-Silver Hand Paladin Card.
2 Stars. I know, I’m being Harsh with this minion, but I hope that he can only go up from here. Maybe replacing the Taunt with Rush, or maybe sacrifice a bit of health to make it cheaper. Who knows.
Crimson Clergy
It’s a pretty nice 1 Mana Card. And yes, we do meme that: “Oh. Zoo priest is happening guys, for real this time.” I think for once, though it’s not official just yet, it is getting one step closer towards it, and now it just needs to draw enough cards to truly make it official for priest.
And even if you were to use it for your Rally Miracle Priest, I still think that Crimson Clergy can be a nice side Soft taunt, becuase now they might need to deal with a random “1 mana “3/3” for how many times you’re trying to save your Bloodweaver and spellweavers.
4 stars; It’s a very Solid Card, but not every single priest is going to buy it.
Bloodsail Deckhand
3 Stars; but will still see a lot of play. It’s not exactly a “0 Mana 2/1” nor is it helping you draw a weapon. It’s just making a discount on your weapon to be cheaper. This will be used for more Fast Spaced Warrior-style Decks, or maybe even Whatley Decks, but other than that, I don’t think a lot of Warriors would use Bloodsail Deckhand.
And sure, let’s say that Gorehowl still exists, and let’s say you a 6 Mana Gorehowl. Why Waste your opportunity to try and take damage to try and take down a minion, especially if that minion bites you with its Power when you have your won Board Control, such as Troublemaker for example; even if the Goons Fail to attack what you wanted, at least Troublemaker can still act as a Soft Taunt for you.
So, Though actual Weapon Warriors will probably use and abuse Bloodsail Deckhand, with Bloodsail probably a core reason way it’s going to upset players because: “Weapons are OP in the Meta right now,” Realistically, I think Bloodsail is no more or even less terrifying then let’s say Burn Mage with her Aegywenn. Which is a 5 Mana 5/5 with +2 Spell Damage, and can potentially buff your next minion.
Unless there is an actual reason to be using Oozes again (if the minion will somehow still exist), I don’t think Warriors can exactly make a comeback for at least a Tier 1 Deck. They’ll be in High Tier 2, and maybe barely scraping it to Tier 1, but unless they can take down Burn Mage like it’s no biggie, they are definitely going to Struggle against the meta of the Base Races.
At Long Last.
In loving memory, Silverback Patriarch can finally rest.
Good Night Sleep, Prince. We thank you for your memes.
Forgotten that you even existed, but never forgotten in our hearts.
A 3 Mana 1/4 with Taunt, that has the potential to make your opponent concede for how useless the card is.
I’ll miss those moments.
“I’m Already Dead.”
– Silverback’s final words, responding to all other taunts minions that do a better job than him.
