Luna's Pocket Galaxy
How exactly would this be useful in a Malygos Mage? If you draw the Malygos before this, you’re not going to get the discount and Baleful Banker can’t be played in the same turn as Malygos.
I’d also call into question the playability of a Malygos Rogue given the support they’ve revived thus far.
The Storm Bringer
The value of a random legendary minion could quite easily be less than what the minions this is being played on is, especially if it’s a legendary minion with a battlecry. As such The Storm Bringer is probably overcosted.
If you do play enough tokens, you should get an overall gain in value, but come turn seven, an Aggro Token Shaman would probably rather just drop a Bloodlust and probably break through whatever defenses their opponent has than play the lottery with this.
This compares poorly to Evolve generally, but the variance does put it far above the potential Evolve has. However, the extra six mana of cost really hurts the chances of this being a win condition in a token deck with Bloodlust is cheaper.
Galvanizer
While Galvanizer does look exciting, Fire Plume Harbinger has the exact same cost and card text except for Elementals and that has only seen play as a way to make a turn 10 Shudderwock able to have double the battlecry with Murmuring elemental.
This does have an extra health stat and is neutral, but given the performance of that card and the general midrange strategies of both Mechs and Elementals, I am unsure if this will fair a whole lot better than Fire Plume has.
Dr. Morrigan
Dr. Morrigan is alright, but like many Warlock Legendary minions, it’s just a little too weak to see play. I understand Team 5 wouldn’t want to get a repeat of Cubelock format, but the pool of cards in any Warlock deck is probably too varied to be able to consistently pull out Voidlords, Lich Kings, and Yseras. This could have easily been priced at seven mana, and it wouldn’t create an issue.
The Soularium
Discard Warlock has garnered as many detractors as it has because it has been the subject of at least four expansions for full blown support with at least three legendary cards off the top of my head built around the concept and yet has remained mediocre at best.
The biggest issue of the deck is actually that it is always random. You can’t really get the value off of Queen Lana’thel if you discarded it for Doomguard or Clutchmother if it never gets discarded. It is an issue that runs so deeply within the archetype, there is no one potential card that could save Quest Warlock or non-Quest Discard Warlock.
Omega Mind
Okay.
It just seems like such a situation is fairly rare in Shaman given just how many spells there are in the class and how few AOE damage spells there are in comparison.
Subject 9
If you were to draw just Counterspell and Explosive Runes as a Mage from playing this card, that’s still a tutoring Arcane Intellect attached to an at most two mana 4/4 body.
You don’t need to get the full value out of this card to make it playable. Just getting two cards will be enough a lot of the time outside of Paladin.
Subject 9
Subject 9 is probably a step into making Secret Paladin viable again. It definitely isn’t Mysterious Challenger, but it does draw out most of the low value secrets out of your deck, making each of your later draws better.
For Mage and Hunter, a five mana 4/4 draw two or three specific cards from your deck is perfectly playable. In those too, drawing a secret in the late game isn’t very good unless it is specifically Explosive Runes or Freezing Trap. Plus, the Beast tag isn’t irrelevant for Hunters. You could also play this in Rogue, but the Rogue secrets aren’t very good.
As long as Secrets remain a popular option in Mage and Hunter, Subject 9 will see at least some play. I am just not sure if it’ll see play in Tempo Mage.
Luna's Pocket Galaxy
That’s a rather bleak outlook on the concept of control/combo decks.
Luna's Pocket Galaxy
That’s a ten mana combo. You will have likely already used that Frost Nova if playing against anything minion based. Plus, Frost Nova doesn’t really have a place in minion based decks.
Luna's Pocket Galaxy
Luna’s Pocket Galaxy is made for the Minion Mage decks created by cards like Book of Specters. However, this is slow, doesn’t affect the cards in your hand, and unlike Aviana, it doesn’t come with any sort of body.
This card will have very similar issues to Druid’s Quest, Jungle Giants, except it doesn’t exist in a class that is traditionally minion based. At least it curves from Aluneth, but trying to reliably curve out with a pair of legendary cards is unreliable to say the least.
I won’t say a deck won’t come along that wants to play this card, you could even say Murloc Mage would want to, but it is slow.
Luna's Pocket Galaxy
Well, Aviana has to actually stay on the board to keep minions costing one.
Seaforium Bomber
Seaforium Bomber is not god awful, but it is far enough below the powercurve for a five drop that it probably won’t see play.
In more detail, the body isn’t good without it affecting the board in some notable way and it doesn’t. It throws five damage at your opponent at some point. That point might not happen, but give it long enough, miracles can happen.
The amount of damage too is underwelming. It wouldn’t surprise me if a Leper Gnome style five drop deathrattle could be created that just dealt five damage. For the amount of time you could have to wait to get the damage dealt, it really should’ve done at least eight.
Void Analyst
If Void Analyst sees play anywhere, it would probably be in a Wild Midrange Demon Warlock deck given how many and how many better demons there are in that format. Even for that kind of deck, going with Krul and Reno might still be better, but the curve flame imp into this into Imp Gang Boss into either Voidcaller, Implosion, or Krystal weaver seems like it could be strong enough to get someone through the early ranks.
The selection of Demons in Standard isn’t exactly stellar. Maybe Zoolock will shift away from the heal focus its taken on towards more of a demon centered on again, but there would need to be more than just this card to do it. A good three drop demon on the same wavelength as Imp Gang Boss might be enough to do it though.
Omega Mind
How so? Shaman’s best spells to give lifesteal to, Lightning Storm and Volcano, would be ones you’d likely play before turn ten.
Omega Mind
Why Hagatha in particular since Omega Mind wouldn’t give her Battlecry Lifesteal?
The Soularium
This Legendary spell will not inspire Wild Zoolock players to run the discard synergy cards.
Additionally, I meant my first question with the standard card pool right now. If Silverware Golem and Malchazar’s Imp were still in the standard card pool, I doubt either would have been taken out of the Zoolock Line up at any point.
Oh. Yes. Saying a card with a very narrow effect would only be potentially good in very narrow and particular circumstances (Either curving into Strider or in a deck built around Pogo-hopper) and calling out the overblown hype around the card for it is me failing to understand the card.
