Fal'dorei Strider
Too many comments to reply to yours… rip
The only reason a person ever plays a game is to have fun. That being said, fun can come from anything between winning and playing meme decks. Don’t judge others on the other side of the spectrum.
That being said, (avoiding hypocrisy) I do not judge your version of fun through winning; everyone has some happy feeling through winning. I’m simply stating I have more fun playing a meme deck at rank 20 and winning as opposed to grinding legend every season with a net deck, and I know plenty other people do as well.
Fal'dorei Strider
The tone in every one of your comments just… Disgusts me…
Games are meant to be fun; deal with it 😀
Fal'dorei Strider
Or… You play Infinite Shadowcaster Factory with 2x Shadowcaster (or have Valeera the Hollow up) + Brann, copy this, and fill your deck with Ambushes every turn. It’ll draw you to the end of the world, give you a card (or a fatigue), and you do it again! Sooo many animations 😀
Fal'dorei Strider
“If you get this in your hand somehow (Thoughtsteal for example) they are castable spells that summon a 4/4.”
I reckon if you draw it, it’ll summon the 4/4, draw a card, then fill your hand with Ambushes. That’s just my interpretation of it tho.
Fal'dorei Strider
Time to make an Ambush deck >:3
Beneath the Grounds, Fal’dorei Strider, Shadowcaster Shenanigans w/ Brann, Mimic Pod and Thistle Tea. Will it work? Heck yeah. Consistently? Heck no. But heck’a fun 😀
Hoarding Dragon
Absolutely love the design of the card.
Play-wise, it isn’t viable on-curve since giving your opponent two coins can be detrimental mid-game, but later on the coins aren’t as impactful, so it does have its uses with a 6-drop as well (such as Dragonfire Potion).
Psychic Scream
It could be construed that all minions, including the ones in either player’s hands, deck, and battlefield get shuffled into their deck. Or just all minions in the entire Hearthstone collection. Just imagine 😀
But probably just all minions on the battlefield get shuffled into the opponent’s deck. I hope. Or this is a meme card. Which I don’t mind.
Psychic Scream
All Jades past 9/9 are 10-mana, and you can’t have 11 mana at a time. It’s funny, because there’s always that occasional misplay of using Innervate BEFORE a multi-card 11-mana play instead of somewhere in the middle lol.
Psychic Scream
Did I hear… Noxious’s Weasel Tunneler Priest? 😀
Looks like a good Purify Priest card if you don’t win the mid-game, but not sure how likely you’ll bounce back. I guess it’s a wide board clear if nothing else, and wrecks token decks if they become a thing (with Paladin’s “Level Up”). Aggro will struggle with this card being here (if you survive for that long), and you can mess with some big-dudes decks (if Druid’s weapon pops off and they drop a few big dudes in one turn, or if Zarog’s Crown permits).
Decent card, but Priest has a good amount of board clear as is with Dragonfire Potion and Dragon-hellfire-dude.
Arcane Tyrant
0-mana 4/4 could be great in Arena with a decent deck to build around it. In constructed? I’m not so sure. It IS an Elemental, so there’s some synergy there, but it also requires big spells which currently Elemental decks don’t typically run. I’m not sure about this card. I guess Mages have gotten a few Elementals, so Elemental Mage with DK could be a thing, just sprinkle in say a Blizzard, Flamestrike, and a couple Firelands Portals and it could work.
Absolutely love the card-art tho 😀
Sonya Shadowdancer
Did I hear… Quest Rogue?… Dang, why’d I disenchant that card…
So far it looks like Rogue’s getting a lot of Shadowcaster-esque cards. Considering how I absolutely love Shadowcaster as probably my favorite card, I think I’m gonna really like this expansion. The card will definitely see play in basically every minion-based deck I play, and Jades and Tempo will have a field day with this. Mill will also see some shenanigans with duplicating Coldlights. I’ll see if it works in my Shadowcaster Factory deck, but meh. Idk.
Can’t wait to see the Rogue weapon. It’d be a dream come true for me if it also implemented Shadowcaster-mechanics, but doubtful. Aw well.
King Togwaggle
The problem I see (as a Mill Rogue fanatic myself) is trying to get your opponent to 10 cards with only two mana. A Shadowstepped would probably be the best bet, with Sap being an alternative if your opponent I still dumb enough to only drop one card from ten. You can’t prep-Vanish since that’s 3 mana, so it’ll be a bit more difficult to pull off. Then again, Mill Rogue as a whole is pretty difficult to pull off in a non-control meta, so meh.
Grizzled Guardian
8-mana Sen’jin + two 4-drops if you build around the card. Now looking at Druid 4-drops (taking the absolute best scenario for theorization purposes), Fandral is the only notable minion, with the others having sub-par effects and/or bodies and mostly relying on Battlecry. Fandral is also a somewhat bad drop as you usually want to combo him in one turn instead of letting your opponent have the chance to kill. On neutral drops, you have Hungry Dragon being best in terms of stats and probably Arfus + Spiritsinger Umbra for best effects (which also coincide with each other lol). I mean, 12-mana worth of stats seems pleasing, but the card is simply too underwhelming unless you build your deck around the card. Meh.
Temporus
I can see this working meh in the combo-Razakus Priest, but then again the opponent has two turns to kill you, sooo… I mean, if Priest had Ice Block, sure. If Amara works in the deck, sure. But I don’t know about that.
I feel the best fit would probably be in a big-stuff Dragon-Deathrattle deck with this card plus N’Zoth as a finisher. Drop Amara turn 8, turn 9 drop Temporus and heal face, turn 10 drop N’Zoth and kill them on your second turn. Greedy deck? Heck yeah. But fun finisher? Heck yeah.
Grumble, Worldshaker
To be honest, I kinda expected people to try to contradict me because they didn’t know how the card mechanic works 😀
If you cast adaption on a different card, would it be the same adaption or can you choose again what to adapt to? I’m guessing the latter, but it could go either way.
Not sure why people are voting average; cast Spikeridge Steed once and you’re getting full value. Cast Dinosize and it could be good or bad depending on circumstances (order of casts? How does that work with Dinosize or 3/3 dinosize?). Blessing of Kings is good. Others can be meh, but the high-roll buff is basically just Spikeridge.
Also wild shenanigans with Brann… Heck yeah 😀
