Pet Collector
N’Zoth Hunter might return once again, becuase of Circus Amalgamation. having a 5 mana 3/3 on its own it’s obvious terrible. So how about also have a 4/5 all-tribe card with Taunt included? The only main issue with Pet collector is that there will be times where you can only have 1 copy of this card, and 2 if you want to guarantee the Battlecry even further. That, and you want to aim for Beasts with 4-5 Mana, and if it were less then 4 mana it’s probably because it’s a legendary.
So from cheapest to most expensive mana, so far there’s: King Mukla, Stoneskin Basilisk, Venomous Scorpid, Zixor, Circus Amalgam, Brolusk Barkstripper (Kinda), Stormpike Battle Ram (If you’re going for Bear Hunter), Imported Tarantula (Kinda), Moonfang, Teacher’s pet, and The Rat King.
Yes, it’s sad that this isn’t a “7 mana 4/4 that makes a King Krush for you, but Pet Collector is still a relatively strong Card.
I’m going to give it 5 Stars.
Raid Negotiator
So I’m assuming it has both of the Choose One effects directly at the minion if possible, so that includes dealing 3 damage to itself if given the chance, but it discounts one of your cards by 2.
I’d say that this is a universal 4-star card for Druids across the board. They’ll be happy to have Raid Negotiator, sure. It’s just a solid card to have.
Razorglaive Sentinel
Yeah. I’d see this as a Duels Bucket more than anything if it’s not being played. This isn’t a card that I want to have in my deck, but it’s absolutely a card that I want to have in-game. Maybe if it was made by a discover and then you have Razorglaive Sentinel, then we would be taking it. Otherwise, we’re looking at around turn 6-7 before Razorglaive does something.
On the OTHER hand, however, who knows, maybe somewhere done the line with Hearthstone and if they can find a way to make a card that gives off discounts to minions at least, then Razorglaive could be a gross card to play with.
3 Stars, Potentially even 5 in the future
Shoulder Check
I don’t mind this card. It has the stats of a 1 cost minion with rush, to begin with, making it Tradeable and it’s a buff spell instead? That’s like a 2 mana value card for a 1-cost spell. It’s trying to give you a bang for your buck. And for that, I’d give it 4 stars. The only reason why it’s at 4 and not at 5 is that warriors want to find out how they can squeeze their cards in with Shoulder Check. If it’s not worthy to them, they can just trade it away no problem. If they have a minion for Rush, they can use Shoulder Check.
4 Stars, almost 5.
SI:7 Smuggler
Cool. Another new card for Quest Rouge. Plus, having 2 bodies is very scary to deal with, too. Think of it as an Upgraded Big-Time Racketeer, were you have a really terrible minion at 3 mana, but it could make something big because of the requirements that you given it.
4 Stars.
Smokescreen
I mean, it’s good and all, buuuutt…. 8 mana, dude? I mean you are drawing 5, but still, that’s quite a lot.
I think this is more of an experimental card, but man, when it pulls off, it pulls off very well, especially because you’re using this for Deathrattles. Now the only thing we are asking of Smokescreen is if we should consider 1 or 2 copies of the card because drawing 5 is quite a lot. If you don’t pay attention, you can burn pretty easily.
This can go 33-33-33; either it’s so good it’s broken, it’s so bad that nobody uses it because it’s too expensive and rouge has too many cards to begin with, or Deathrattle rouge and ONLY Deathrattle Rogue really likes this card.
3 Stars, with 5 Star Potential.
Spirit Mount
This is just a nice card overall for Shaman of all Classes; even for a few shamans out there that don’t use any spells at all that doesn’t do damage; purely because it’s a buff card. I’d say that Buffs are being either more noticeable or they are being respected more (I think?) with how much power they can give off, escpailly if you draw this early. Plus having a token version of the mount makes it that much more extra annoying for your opponent to deal with.
4 Stars.
Stormwind Avenger
Now this is something that Handbuff Paladin was looking for; albeit that maybe some paladins were asking for a 2 mana 0/5 with the same text but oh well. As or Stormwind Avenger itself, escpially with libram, this is basically a 3 mana 7/7 with just 2 Libram of wisdom alone, if the librams were discounted to 2. For some impressive stats on a minion like that, i would say that it’s still Preeeety Scary to deal with.
I’d say even aggro paladins would want to consider Stormwind Avenger. If you were to get this buffed with the Avenge Secret; it’s going to be at 6/7 for 3 Mana with one spell. Even something like a “3 or 5” Mana 4/6 with Divine Shield that makes a 1/1 and Divine Shield because of Noble Mount is still kinda something.
If paladins still don’t like Avenger, then I would say that Avenger is a sleeper card. It’s a good card for what it can offer, so long as you go along with the theme.
4 Stars.
Wings of Hate (Rank 1)
Eeh. Probaply used for some sort of Engine used for OTK Demon Hunter Stredegy. The Card itself, I’m not really that interested in, but that’s just a ‘me’ thing.
3 Stars, could be used as 5 stars for OTK.
Deep Breath
Eeeh. This is meant for Quest or Big Spell Mage. This is still overall cool, however.
4 Stars.
Don't Stand in the Fire!
So, Volcano came back but now does 10 damage for enemy minions instead of 15 damage for ALL MINIONS. Also, it’s 1 overload instead of 2. one rule of thumb for why Volcano was good was because you were playing midrange or control Shaman and that 5 extra damage made a huge difference for removal since you didn’t have any minions on board anyway, or your minion was weak to begin with.
I’m not too sure how I feel about this, but then again there’s Quest Shaman with Spell Damage so I think those Shamans would still pick up at least 1 copy of Don’t stand in the fire.
This is more experimental then anything, so we’ll see what will happen.
3 Stars for now, but could go even up to 5 Stars for Niche Shamans.
Lightmaw Netherdrake
So, Duskbreaker came back with a +1/+1.
Duskbreaker was a 5 star Dragon becuase it was just Removal with a Body on top, and Lightmaw Netherdrake is no different. I’d even say that there’s little to no difference; just a Redux idea for an earlier theme of a card that we already have.
5 Stars back then, and 5 Stars now, even for Duels.
Onyxian Drake
Yeah, 5 Stars, for any archetype of warrior. Dragon Warrior, Control Warrior, Tank Warrior, you name it.
So long as you have about 5 or more Armor, Onyxian Drake is really strong, because at that point it’s like a ‘destroy a minion’ for 3-5 mana.
Onyxian Warder
5 mana 3/6 Deal 2 and 2 Damage? That’s kinda nice for 5 Mana. It’s very powerful for midrange.
Paladin and Hunter, along with other aggro classes would love Onyxian Warder the Most. Hunter has Animal Companion with Lerokk, for 6 damage instead of 4, and Paladin is able to hand buff.
People giving this 1-2 Stars don’t know or understand the strengths of what Onyxian Warder can put off. That or they just don’t want to play dragons in general.
4 Stars.
Spawn of Deathwing
Spawn of Deathwing is not too bad. The problem is that other than Discolock, No Warlock really cares about Spawn; even for Controlock. Maybe Zoolock would try it but that’s kinda it.
3 Stars, even with the +1/+1 and you get to destroy a random enemy minion.
Whelp Bonker
It’s not bad, but the problem is that it’s probably used for Handbuffing a bit here and there for paladin and probably only paladin is going to take it.
Maaaaaybe, Mage could take it, and uses Hero Power and poking down small minions.
3 Stars, even for Paladin and Mage.
Siphon Mana
Siphon mana is actually a Scary card. I’d say for something like Quest Mage, it’s even a standardized Card to have. 4 Stars.
Yeah. It’s nice. This is meant for OTK Demon Hunter or Duels or something. I’m just not a fan of this card because you are asking for some sort of sacrifice that isn’t given you as much value unless you put in another value along with Keen Reflex to overpower the value that you want, and with that, Keen Reflex will Brick like Crazy. Very Rarely would you use the card with what you’re asking for because most minions at around 2 or more health nowadays? So many times it’s either going to sit on your hand unless you have +1 Spell Damage., and like.. the Damage isn’t even all that worth it, in my opinion.
I’d even give it 1 star because it’s asking for some much for something so little. Even with Imp Summoner it’s not even considered that good of a card either, because you’re going to be getting 13 damage worth of Keen Reflex anyways.
