Depth Charge
Doomsayer is better in every way. The 1 and 2 mana difference isn’t going to matter enough. The only deck I can see this replacing doomsayer in is actually Quest druid since it’s easier to manage the quest with a 1 mana card.

I wouldn’t compare this directly to Thaurissan to be honest.. There’s a big difference in reducing costs in hand and deck. This card doesn’t reduce costs in hand so you can’t exactly choose which cards get the reduction. That being said I don’t think this card will be used for combo purposes because it’s simply too inconsistent. It’s much better to just get the sheer value of cost reduction on lots of dragons than using this to reduce the cost of one or two card that you may or may not have drawn yet.
That being said I think people vastly overestimate the ways this card can be used. It’s not consistent enough as a combo card.

I disagree, it doesn’t reduce the cost of dragons in your hand so having a bunch of mediocre dragons sit in your hand simply isn’t good. Moreover you’d want to complete the quest asap to get the most out of this card which seems counter intuitive with dragons. However, I could see shaman running a few good battlecry dragons in the deck and using this without necessarily aiming to use it with double battlecry.
Building a dragon deck around the quest and this card sounds like a terrible idea to me.

At first I was like reduce the cost of dragons in your HAND by 1
But then I was like wait what from deck by 2?! That’s ridiculous…
Naturally since it doesn’t reduce the costs in your hand it’s not that good of a card lategame and itxs a horrible topdeck. However if you have lot of dragons, decent card draw and you can play this on curve you pretty much just win lmao. The powerlevel of these cards is insane.
It’s no wonder this expansion is nicknamed as “Creep of Power” lol

I love how many new mechanics this set explores! Cards like these are a pleasure to see and try out.
3 stars, I think it has great potential. The only thing holding me back from giving it 4 stars is that it’s not a pirate.
Bandersmosh
Exactly. There’s a huge pool of awesome results for this card, some of which can potentially straight up win you the game. I didn’t even consider Alakir… That’s insane.
And people fail to understand the power of mana cheat and the fact that even in worst case it’s a 5 mana 5/5 with some ability. This is so much more powerful than Shifter Zerus or other cards with similar effect.
Bandersmosh
Even at worst the card isn’t all that bad? Topdecking this is naturally horrible but it’s still a solid 5 mana 5/5 even then. Alot of people seem to underestimate how powerful cheating mana costs can be. This card is something that you can put in almost any deck and it can potentially singlehandedly win you the game. Ngl I think this card is hidden OP.
Bandersmosh
At best it’s a Shudderwock or Hir’eek (board full of 5/5 for just 5 is super powerful) and at worst it’s just a 5 mana 5/5 with an effect from some legendary, I really don’t see why this card is considered bad when it’s actually scary good.
Yes, random legendaries are bad but that’s because you usually can’t make use of the high cost powerhouses in most decks. But this cheats mana alot and we know how poweful that can be. In other words it’s mediocre at worst and extremely powerful at best. I really don’t see why alot of Shaman decks couldn’t run this aside from aggro ones.
Bandersmosh
Will this keep the mana cost of 5 when it transforms? If so this card is genuinely not that bad. There’s tons of legendaries that cost 8-10 mana in standard right now and getting them for 5 is can be very powerful. Definitely something to watch out for.
Heck, at best this card can actually be super scary when you realize that even something like Hir’eek becomes a “fill your board with 5/5 beasts” and at worst it’s a 5 mana 5/5 with some kind of effect from a legensary and that honestly isn’t bad at all.
Say what you want, this card is a hidden op and an easy 5/5 (assuming it keeps the mana cost when it transforms, Idk yet when I post this)

Than* … My god why can’t we edit or delete posts on this site 😀 Sorry lmao.

You probably overestimate it a bit.. The dragons that hatch from the eggs take 3 turns until they can hit face, that’s a very slow threat for the opponent so for the most part those dragons are best used for clearing the board. And in that sense the breath card shaman got is actually way better than this.
Sure it creates lots of board presence but it definitely doesn’t force your opponent to “act fast or you lose” and you definitely can’t use this on a board where enemy has minions since it’s not very hard to clear the eggs. If Nithogg had taunt or the hatching dragons had charge this card would be way stronger but sadly it’s just better a bit better than cards like Toki and that doesn’t really say much.
Doubling the battlecry with shaman quest is pretty nice though.
Nithogg
This isn’t super powerful by itself but it does create a pretty big threat in board. My only complaint is that those dragons that hatch take forever to attack the face.. First they’re eggs and then they hatch but still can’t attack face so you can’t really setup Vessina or Bloodlust with them, they’re for board control rather than aggro purpose I suppose. Not sure if they’d really be too OP if they had charge considering that there’s a fair amount of couterplay to this card.
I think this is a solid 3/5 card, you can double the battlecry with shaman quest which makes this card have quite alot of board presence all in one card but it’s definitely nothing too powerful.
Zzeraku the Warped
This is a big threat on board so long as Warlock has health but almost a dead card if it doesn’t. Unless there’s lots of support and healing cards for Warlock I don’t see this becoming a thing. 3/5
Bad Luck Albatross
This can mess up highlander decks pretty badly in case they ever get so strong that counterplay is needed. That being said I like that this card can be put in many decks since it’s a solid 3 mana 4/3. A very well desinged card and I love the flavor too.
4/5.
Breath of the Infinite
Does this mean we get a new Temporus card?
Onesided blast potion is pretty nice, my only issue is that this set is all about big dragons and stuff and in a world where Paladin can have a 5 mana 4/6 dragon, this card is pretty useless.
For that reason it’s a 2/5 for me, keeps aggro away though so that’s a plus.
Ancharrr
I really hope not.. Pirates are 100% aggro based and that just creates boring metas usually. Unless they really reinvent the pirates to be flexible in terms of archetypes it will be ugh for the most part.
As a side note, I used Grand Archivist Elysiana as my avatar first so you should probably change it >:c No offense or anything just confusing
This card kinda looks like it could be much like the Goblin Bomb, a card that perharps another card can produce. It would be pretty weird to have an explosive keg as a minion card by itself. I actually hope it is cause that would be pretty neat.
