Mike Donais said that they aren’t thinking about things like monetization or cosmetics yet in one of the interviews – they want to focus on the gameplay first and then handle those after the Beta.

We’ll take a look at this topic some time after Descent of Dragons release (because for now we’ll have to focus our attention on the new set).

You definitely should not fish for specific Epics & Legendaries from older expansions, because you would need to open tens or possibly even hundreds of packs to find them. But we’ll look at the sets with most playable Commons and Rares (that also have some worthwhile more expensive cards just in case you snatch them), because you can reliably get those after opening a relatively small amount of packs, and crafting Commons is a pretty bad deal.

Yes, you will get two! They will show up when you launch the game after expansion is released.

I also like Sylvanas more, but Alleria ain’t bad at all.

Plus, if someone plays a lot of Hunter, he might want to diversify 🙂

Oh, hahah, it definitely feels great to be able to play everything on Day 1 🙂 I always buy just one pre-order, because between the packs from gold, packs from pre-order and all the Dust I have accumulated over years it’s still enough to playtest anything I want. Or rather, anything I NEED, because I always want to playtest the best early builds I’m covering :p I rarely have time to play the meme decks I want to, at least during the first few days after expansion’s release, which are very busy.

Doing reviews this time around was really difficult, because the expansion has so many insane cards. I gave out more 7/10+ ratings than I ever did in another expansion, but it feels weird, because I know that lots of them won’t see any play in the end. That’s because the overall power level of this set is so high that a card that is “good” by normal standards can be not good enough in Descent of Dragons. They also pushed so many different archetypes for all the classes that it’s hard to say which one will turn out to be playable in the end (e.g. every class can now attempt to play a Highlander deck or a Dragon deck).

I hope that the meta turns out to be fun and balanced, because if not, they will have A LOT of balancing to do 😀

Yeah, they seem to be keeping them at 24 at the same time. When new ones get it, some of the old ones rotate out (but just like Millificent, they should come back at one point in the future).

It’s honestly not a bad idea, because having too many of them at the same time is not ideal (harder to balance, you rarely see your favorites), and if they keep rotating them every patch, that should keep things fresh.

Yeah, the fact that she was added as a Hero Portrait with the same name as minion messed up our data / deck codes import. I’ve manually changed her stats for now, but deck codes including her still won’t work. Should get fixed on Monday once our devs get back to work.

Yes and no. Right now Mechwarper / SN1P-SN4P combo is a problem, that’s true, but reducing Echo cards to 0 is a mechanic that’s just asking to get abused in the future. This nerf is more future-proof, although it hurts balanced combos too.

You won’t get a refund for the golden version everyone got for free. You can’t craft or disenchant that one. Only the regular version gets a refund – so people who got it after Rise of the Mech event.

I see that you’re assuming that the new adventure will be paid – but they actually haven’t said anything about that yet. Given that it comes with lots of new cards, I would imagine that it might actually be free. Or at least cheap enough to be easily accessible by everyone.

Because yeah, releasing a full expansion and then another 35 cards locked behind paywall a month later would be a little bit too much.

You just (PROBABLY – maybe they’re an exception) won’t be able to make them 0 – they will cost 1. But honestly, that’s not a big deal. Some treasures will just get slightly weaker. And what would you want them to do about it?

Yeah, I think that should be possible. If they will be in in-game shop, you will be able to buy them in whatever currency you’re normally paying in there.
