Hearthstone Battlegrounds Is Out! The New Mode Is Available to Everyone for Free! (Open Beta)
Yep, minions going back to pool can be a downside too – if a player who plays a completely different strategy gets kicked out, then the pool gets flooded with a bunch of useless cards π
Hearthstone Global Games Group Stage Has Started!
I don’t think there is – we just had Twitch drops during BlizzCon and then for Battlegrounds.
I just think that this year HGG is just a filler tournament between Grandmasters seasons. No drops, it’s shorter, they don’t really promote it etc.
Descent of Dragons Card Review #2 - Breath Cards, Dragon Explorers, Dragonbane, Phase Stalker, Learn Draconic, Toxic Reinforcements and more!
I’m a bit worried tbh. If they aren’t careful and add too many powerful Dragons/synergies then those can dominate the meta until 2021. But if they don’t add enough, we might see the main theme of this expansion fail completely… I really hope that they do it just right π

Tavern Brawl - Top 3
I think it’s “retire” in English – and honestly I don’t know… this week’s Brawl has been a dumpster fire.
I would probably just retire it to be honest, you SHOULD get the rewards… but this is Hearthstone we’re talking about so anything might happen π
Hearthstone Battlegrounds Guide - Best Strategies / Compositions (Mechs, Beasts, Demons, Murlocs, Menagerie)
I’m afraid that it’s not really a viable strategy. There aren’t enough cards that synergize with Taunts. Strongshell Scavenger is good, but it’s just a small buff. Not to mention that you use it anyway, since you run Taunts even if you don’t specifically play Taunt strategy.
And Phalanx Commander… sure, it might be solid if you pick it on Tier 3, maybe even Tier 4 with Security Rover, but in the late game that extra 4 Attack on Taunts doesn’t matter, and a 8/10 body is also very weak – it just wastes a slot.
We would need something much more powerful for a strategy built around Taunts to be a thing. Right now they’re just an important addition for other strategies.
Tavern Brawl - Top 3
Update: Itβs the second time we see this Brawl. Comments below this one are old, but can often still be relevant!
Tavern Brawl Disabled Until Tomorrow (November 14th), Will Return as a Different Brawl

Yes, they do.
Hearthstone Battlegrounds Heroes Tier List & Guide - Best Available Heroes & Strategies - August 2023
I assume you mean your first 26 games. That’s because of two reasons, then:
1. Hero is not everything. How well you play it still much more important. You can get #1 with the worst Hero and fall out first with the best one. And that’s great. But after playing dozens of games in Top 200 I can really tell you that the higher tier Heroes win more consistently.
2. New players still don’t know how to use each Hero to its fullest potential, don’t use best strategies etc. Tier Lists are usually built around experienced players. A week of headstart makes a big difference, so players who just started this Tuesday should get better at the game soon, and you will probably see the high Tier Heroes finishing in Top 4 more consistently.
Hearthstone Battlegrounds Heroes Tier List & Guide - Best Available Heroes & Strategies - August 2023
I’m afraid that you have to wait. Players have been requesting a “ready” button that skips to the combat phase when everyone presses it ever since early access, but there’s no official dev reply yet as far as I know. I hope that it will get implemented in the future.
Tavern Brawl - Brawliseum - Battle of the Bans
Brawl has been temporarily disabled due to technical issues – after losing 3 games you couldn’t start another run and the whole screen got bugged. We’ll update you when it’s available again!
Warcraft 25h Anniversary - Log In Before November 27th to Get Free Golden Rares
Tbg Injured Blademaster is still useful, it’s commonly played in Priest π So if you care about Golden cards, it’s a solid one to get. Argent Commander, on the other hand, hasn’t seen any play in a loooong while.
Four New Battleground Heroes Found in Game Files - Released Next Week?
I think that many people are misunderstanding Freeze mechanic. It’s already in game. You Freeze minions in Tavern to lock them until your next visit. THOSE minions will get +1/+1.
So she will give you another incentive to freeze more often. Early you might freeze a board with no minion that you REALLY want just to get something okay with +1/+1 (which will often be worth it).

It’s linked right under the recently revealed cards (and above the list of all DoD cards). I will add another link in the general information section to make it more visible π

Hearthstone Battlegrounds Guide - Tips & Tricks For New Players (And Not Only)
I’m also pretty new to the genre – I’ve played original Dota Auto Chess and Underlords before, but maybe 25-30 games in total, so that’s not much. Then I’ve played 70-80 games of Battlegrounds over the last week π
I’m glad that you found it useful. If you have any more questions, let me know and I’ll try to answer them!
3/4 vs 2/2 stats don’t matter in the late game, but I still think it’s a viable nerf. At 3/4, he’s a good tempo pick initially ON TOP of having insane late game. Picking a vanilla 2/2 will put you in a weaker spot immediately, which means that it will be harder to play greedy and let’s say go for a Lightfang strategy, where it’s most useful.
Will it be enough? Hard to say, honestly – probably not. But it’s a bigger nerf than it might seem, because there’s a high chance you will lose next combat or two after picking a vanilla 2/2 from T2 (because it loses to even T1 minions).
On the other hand, I think that moving him to T4 and especially to T5 is way too severe nerf – when you’re already in the late game, you rarely want to pick Amalgam anyway, unless you specifically have a Menagerie setup ready and not all of the tribes covered. I skip like 95% of Amalgams I see in the late game (unless I’m looking for triple). T3 + stats nerf should suffice IMO.
Right now Amalgam is so good, because you can pick him early, it’s good early, and it has amazing late game scaling. I think that making you pick him later (T3) and making his stats weaker so you need to sacrifice more tempo would be enough, he should no longer be an auto-pick then, but still a consideration in certain setups. Or MAYBE T4, but without stats nerf. Possibly even a slight stats buff, like to 4/5, because T4 has a lot of key cards that would compete with him.
