Update: Itβs the second time we see this Brawl. Comments below this one are old, but can often still be relevant!
Tombs of Terror Strategy Guide - Chapter 4: Halls of Origination - Icarax, Plague Lord of Wrath
That’s exactly how I beat him too! I had a few King Krushes and Emerisses with Scepter of Summoning, and while I didn’t manage to draw perfectly (in the best case scenario could get them to 64/64), I had like two 32/32 Krushes that just wrecked the boss π I also had a huge Gahz’rilla just in case, but I didn’t even need it.
Going Big seems to be a solid strategy for Bran in general, since the class has access to a lot of powerful big minions and there are a lot of treasures that can make it work (Alchemist Stone, Crook and Flail, Scepter of Summoning).

Thank you, fixed it π
23 Wild Cards Coming Back to Standard Temporarily, New Portraits For 1000 Wins, More Events, Search & Quest Improvements
I wouldn’t trust the leaks like that. E.g. we have some “leaks” basically before any nerf patch and most of the time they aren’t true π
We’ll have a 100% confirmed list of cards next week so we’ll post it then!

I disagree, the deck is strong, but not THAT strong. It’s not keeping other decks from the meta. We have a bunch of other popular, competitive decks.
On the contrary, it has some clear weaknesses and maybe new Wild cards will be able to exploit them. I really doubt that they will return some strong Priest card that would boost Combo Priest, that would be a terrible move. So assuming the deck will stay at the same / similar power level and other decks grow stronger because of new Wild cards… It’s like an indirect nerf.

Given that you can play any Standard card in Wild, if a Wild card becomes Standard for a while, it’s automatically Wild too… if you get what I mean.
Mutate Token Shaman Deck List Guide - Saviors of Uldum - September 2019
She’s obviously a pretty important card, but the deck should still work without her.

And the thing is that depending on the cards they decide to rotate in, this might be a much bigger shake-up than a simple nerf/buff patch! Just N’Zoth alone creates so many possibilities.

I’m nearly sure that you will be able to change them at any time, because that’s how portraits work in HS. E.g. if you own Morgl, you can still play as Thrall. So I see no reason why those would be different.

I think that the Dungeon Run Tavern Brawl will be PvE (and not against other players), like this one for example: https://www.hearthstonetopdecks.com/tavern-brawl-blackrock-crash-week-1/
But I would like to see PvP version of Dungeon Run π

We don’t have any info about that yet. We’ll definitely let you all know once we find out, but there’s a chance that devs will stay silent until official announcement of the full list of 23 Wild cards (October 4).
Devs have confirmed on reddit that the free copies of Wild cards are also temporary and will disappear after the event ends.
Tombs of Terror Strategy Guide - Chapter 3: Khartut's Tomb - Xatma, Plague Lord of Death
Using it on Anub’arak is… a bit counter-productive to say the least, lol. But let’s just say that bosses aren’t always making the most optimal plays (otherwise some of the encounters would be VERY hard to win).
Anyway, congratulations on getting it down on your first try!
Elise Starseeker Hero Guide - Druid / Priest - Tombs of Terror
I did it with 2x Radiant Elemental + Divine Spirit, but actually yeah, Regenerate is much more simple, lol.
But to be honest, it’s not really fun to just sit there and cast 900 spells on Turn 3 against Plague Lord. Since it’s PvE content, I prefer to do it the regular way, it’s more fun to me.

Thanks, I’ve updated the post π
Tombs of Terror Guide - Trailer, Launch Date & Time, Price, Rewards, Chapters, Heroes, Plague Lords
There’s some sort of bug that causes Plague Lord to reset their HP between runs. It started happening yesterday/today. No official statement yet.
You can still beat them in one go, but it’s significantly more difficult, especially on Heroic.
Tombs of Terror Strategy Guide - Chapter 2: Scorching Dunes - K'zrath, Plague Lord of Madness
I think that there’s a bug where he often resets his health instead of staying at how low you got him too. I’ve read it many times today but so far no official words from Blizzard.

“I want to guess that to win your packs, you need to finish a run and at least beat the first 7 bosses with any progress/downing on the final boss as optional.”
That’s exactly right – you need to get to Plague Lord (and possibly deal at least some damage) to get packs.

I agree, Secret decks are very hard to build. Even if you manage to build a decent one, it’s only good against Plague Lord, since it still takes a while to get all 6 Secrets up AND you need to draw your Tomb Diver. It’s far from “100% guaranteed method”, especially not on Heroic, where your deck needs to be good against regular bosses too or otherwise you won’t even get to Plague Lord at all. You need to get extremely lucky – both with drafts and with draws to get this strategy going. Obviously, when it works, it’s insane – you basically can’t lose when you get a new treasure every turn. But there are definitely more consistent strategies.
Reno Jackson Hero Guide - Mage / Rogue - Tombs of Terror
Of course, you won’t always get the right synergies, but most of the time I wanted to build a deck around some theme I did it more or less. Maybe once or twice I completely missed it. But Secrets in particular are a very narrow synergy – it’s only a single bucket of cards (some strategies can easily pick cards from 2-3 different buckets) so maybe that’s why it’s harder to get (I haven’t tried to go for a full Secret deck yet).
That’s weird… Did you try again? Maybe it’s bugged in some way. I just tested it and it worked for me again.
