Descent of Dragons Balance Changes - Shaman Nerfs Coming Next Week!
Community suspected it to be good at the reveal already. Besides, as others said (and my first point), you shouldn’t craft anything first two weeks of the expansion.
There was a very good article on budget Galakrond decks on this very site by Old Guardian. If anyone is on budget and wants to taste those new cards, I would recommend that article and not crafting full cost decks.
Descent of Dragons Balance Changes - Shaman Nerfs Coming Next Week!
I am always mesmorized by people complaining about nerfs when they go all in on certain decks. First of all, crafting cards so early is really bad dust management. Second of all, if you are on a budget, why spend dust on top tier decks that have hystorycally been nerfed all over again (like mage, druid, warlock and many others before). Tier 2 or even tier 3 decks are more then anough to have fun and even climb, but avoid nerf problems. I won’t even go into netdecking issue.
People never learn their lesson.
As for the nerfs, they are most welcome. It has been only 2 days since release, yet playing against Galakrond shaman feels really oppressive (I still don’t get why shaman is the only one with invoke twice card).
Galakrond Animations Temporarily Disabled
Haven’t played a single game as shaman since I dislike the class. Shaman having the most broken deck certainly doesn’t help since I prefer my own creativity instead of netdecking.
Galakrond Animations Temporarily Disabled
I have different kind of problems, when the game just crashes. When I reopen the game, it returns me to home screen with no stars lost or gained, as if nothing happened.
Descent of Dragons Card Review #7 - Wing Commander, Storm's Wrath, Sky Claw, Galakrond the Tempest, Rolling Fireball, Mana Giant and more!
Great work with all the reviews. I pretty much agree with majority of what you said in those reviews (there are some exceptions: mainly Zzeraku and priest Galakrond, which seemed quite strong based on prerelease streams).
However, I would like to add 2 things from this review. Firstly, priest has Wretched reclaimer, so a statement about not being able to trigger deathrattles on demand is not entirely true. For instance, 2x Fate weaver into Leeroy, 2x Grave rune and Wretched Reclaimer is 30 dmg OTK, which unlike Divine spirit does not require the board. It is very clunky however.
Secondly, I actually think that some kind of handbuff dragon version might be the best for light forged paladin. After all, there are 8 dragons in total for paladin, with potentially 6 extra due to explorer and that 3 mana deathrattle bronze dragon. In addition, there are Cathedral gargoyle, Talritha, Glowstone techs and Dragon speakers as extra dragon support. Hard to tell if that is enough, but potential is there.
Descent of Dragons Theorycraft Deck Lists - New Builds For Every Class!
The rest will follow.
“We’ll start with Highlander decks for every class and then keep adding more and more, all the way until expansion’s release – e.g. Dragon decks and Galakrond decks are already being covered! If you want to see a specific build, let us know in the comments and we’ll see what we can do.”

Thanks for clarification.

As Nephilim99 said, you have to disenchant the cards. But they indeed give you full dust already.

I am curious about Sn1p-Sn4p nerf. It was given for free and as such can’t be disenchanted. How exactly is the dust refund going to work?
I checked in-game, and it still can’t be disenchanted, whereas both Glinda and Sound the Bells give you full dust. Hence I guess this is only for those who either opened or crafted Sn1p-Sn4p.
Ritual Chopper
True, but on reveal stream, priest was kicking ass. And that looked closer to midrange or even control.
Whispers of EVIL
Miracle priest would like to have a word. Never underestimate 0 cost cards when auctioneer is in standard. It does look kinda bad tough (I agree on that part).
Blowtorch Saboteur
You need to learn how to read and stop attacking people online. I never said I didn’t make a mistake. I did correct myself with an argument and still stand by my comment. Besides, the debate was between me and BastionKid so don’t preach about how anybody looks like on the internet. Bye.
Blowtorch Saboteur
I did and I stand by it. Only cases where it might theoretically be somewhat useful is when your opponent wants to use hero power a lot. Hence, in those cases it will mostly effect next turn only.
Murozond the Infinite
Typical hearthstone wording inconsistency then. It’s a bummer. Still a solid card, but without battlecries it’s a lot less powerful and swingy.
Dark Skies
So basically weaker, but more flexible volcano, solid early game removal. With assumption that warlock taps on turn 2, this would deal 6 damage when going 1st or 7 damage when going second.
Murozond the Infinite
Since it says play (and not just summon), I would assume it will trigger battlecries with random targets. In that case, this is scary looking card with very high potential, useful in almost any scenario. Probably one of the most powerfull dragon legendaries.
Blowtorch Saboteur
It’s still just one turn thing, where your opponent decides when to float that 1 mana.
Blowtorch Saboteur
Way to situational and only increases cost of hero power for next turn. Would be better if it increased the cost for several turns or at least until it is removed.
In control you would rather play removal, midrange decks care more about bigger treats and more aggresive/zoo/tempo decks would prefer Hystory Buff with same stats, but more tempo oriented effect.
I agree completely. I changed a few more cards (added extra dragons with Twilight Drakes and extra defense with Khartut Defenders, in addition to Godfrey and Zzeraku). It feels really good and is quite fun and challenging to play.
As you said, with all the imps from invoking, Plague of Flames is MVP of the deck. Warlock dragon package complements it nicely. I even managed to fatigue Galakrond shaman today with fully invoked Galakrond and all the Shudderwock shenanigans.
