Ras Frostwhisper
Your trying to imply that you have to play the two in the same turn but that’s not exactly true all you need is to use the other to build up some spell dmg it becomes a threat on its own and something like a frost mage could potentially lock it on the board a bit. There’s also potential in using the maeiev card to make it go dormant to protect it. Do far we haven’t seen to much of the cards revealed so your not able to completely toss out a potential plan until the last card is revealed.
That’s one thing that annoys me about this people mocking potential setups during the first few reveals then later cards get revealed that makes it possible.
Ras Frostwhisper
Oh God the combo this has with master duelist in a rapid fire mage deck is scary especially if you discount your spells this card alone amplifies how big of a threat the master duelist is and puts far more reason to get it off the board as soon as possible. As for shaman this isn’t to bad and you could even run with totem deck since could clone the spell totem.
Groundskeeper
I could see this getting played there’s a couple shaman cards used that cost 5 or more but this looks like almost a must add for quest druid due to higher likely hood of having spells in the needed cost range.
Vectus
This card is nuts it’s an auto include for deathrattle decks I can already see the hunters dropping this in with the prime. Then you have warriors potentially priests will as well of course. Also anyone else realise this card let’s other classes pull off a version of priests bull crap albatross deck just 1 death and this can set up tossing in 4 more 1/1s probably keep another deathrattle as well as an alternate but you would only need one copy to potentially toss 6 1/1s into the deck basically killing pure pally, spell mage, and Highlander decks. As well as possible interference on say a big druid. I can potentially see a few classes getting away with this not counting Hunter could do it with the rush gain copy of deathrattle.
Star Student Stelina
Great card that would work really well if ended up played after glide since you could have cut opponents hand size down reducing odds of missing a valuable card in their current hand. I’d say this may seem some use since it can knock off opponents curves, removals, or counter cards.
Sphere of Sapience
Wow this card has good value won’t be used by any decks running weapons but it has value if say you were searching for specific cards or some things would just be dead in hand at the time of draw. I don’t think you’d want to have most 8-10 cost cards drawn into hand during turn 2 especially if you had a way to tutor it or extras in deck. You also had some decks like the wrath pally where knowing exactly where shirvallah was in deck would be useful so you could pop wrath with more confidence in late game.
Magehunter
I’m just gonna say it right off thank goodness this isn’t a warrior card give it sweep and you silence 3 minions.
Also this is a nice card it can be used to silence a minion and true it may die doing it but it could also kill some deathrattle minions and shutdown their effect as well.
Lorekeeper Polkelt
This is a very valuable card for certain deck types ysera works with it since you could flood the board. Depending on how your deck is built you may run this for certain key cards in late game.
A BIG value of this card though is playing it before or in same turn as a card that would draw and discount cards. Like rogue galakrond or Demon Hunter with skull. There’s also some cards that might see play do to this. Tentacled menace you and opponent draw a card and swap the costs. So your opponent could get stuck with a really expensive card that they needed in cheap form. Or say the utgarde grapplesniper both draw and if it’s a dragon summon it. If you know what’s left in deck and the costs you could easily plan out a moment to take advantage of summoning out a guaranteed dragon with the 5/5.
Overall this is a card that may see some experimenting with some of these older technical cards that never really saw use in the meta because it was pure RNG however this card removes most of the RNG involved and you can be more certain of what your next draw will be.
Totem Goliath
This is the card totem shaman and aggro shaman always dreamed of totem tag and board flooding power.
Playmaker
All the different cards this could be combined with combo this with the new rogue/warrior legendary and you gain +2/2 on your weapon in one turn. Then you have things like the mummy and the prime legendary either clone the one with deathrattle or the big form and get huge value though big one is harder to pull in a single turn.
Glide
A valuable draw tool for tempo DH if hands empty it’s basically a cheaper rogues Sprint. Also this is a hard counter to slow decks and a big counter against hand lock.
Another deck this screws with is spell mage if you play this after they use spell to generate minions in hand. On another note this card also interferes with the scheme cards since it would likely reset them.
Felosophy
I can’t think of a reason for DH or warlock not to run this it buffs and generates hand value and the outcast portion wouldn’t mean much since it’s a one cost I’d really doubt you’d want to wait to long to play unless didn’t have demon in hand.
Doctor Krastinov
Any deck that would run captain greenskin would consider this card the only fault for one is no pirate tag but the rush and possibility of multiple triggers makes up for that fact. It also supports the card that would summon a random minion dependant on your weapons attack.
Pen Flinger
…..are you kidding me this card is just asking for possible use in a non pure pally deck running librams. This is basically a perfect card for pally that would let you peg off the minions you drop to 1 health. Outside of that it doesn’t match up as great as a support card due to Mana cost to keep playing.
Archwitch Willow
Wow could only imagine this in wild with cards like voidlord this is basically an advanced skull trigger that gives you up to 3 minions without needing to wait a turn for a higher cost.
As for standard not to bad but not that great this expansion so far though I expect it may get better in future.
Ceremonial Maul
Rogue mage card doesn’t matter for the one since it discovers a mage card.
Mozaki, Master Duelist
The horror the horror combo mage adores this card with that sticky health if opponent doesn’t stop the card quick it’s all over. This card is far more terrifying in wild than standard but has a few benefits for standard decks.
Flesh Giant
This is far easier for warlock to drop than priest with self dmg and life steal bring able to count. Would be interesting for pain decks in wild. Would actually give you a reason to run the legendary that deals one dmg to you at start of each turn.
Disciplinarian Gandling
Basically an auto include in DR decks and this card basically has a soft taunt since your opponent is not going to want it staying on the board. It also helps zoo lock around the late game by bulking up their little drop minions.
