Rafael's #2 Legend Quest Priest - June 2018
I have been playing the version with -2 abomination +2 Applebaum and -1 ooze +1 MC for a long time now and I have to say while this might be also very viable my instinct is to prefer the deck I am already playing. Give it a shot as well!

They’ll stay around for almost 8 months and if you’re into Mage these are really core cards of any big spell mage and I think they’re the hidden champions of the deck, as they’re super fun to play. Smashing something with meteor is great and clearing a board with flames feels good man. I’d go for it since you have the expensive ones already. Personally I think you could replace the keysmiths but all other cards see LOTS of play, especially the neutral ones.

Awesome, have fun! (Cant reply to you directly as thread limit is reached, sorry about that)
Thank you!

I have since played a LOT with this deck and the meta shifted even more towards not having too many weapons, so it didn’t bother me recently. But I would think the same; however, both of those are too good. There’s a lot of synergy going on. I’d probably go with the 3 mana gluttonous Ooze instead of one of the Twilight’s Call – also I’m playing with 2 Bonedrakes instead of the Mirage Callers. It makes all the difference!
But thanks for your suggestions, in this deck beetle -> Ooze might also be good, it’s just that without Mirage Caller a lot of the combos won’t work your way that easily and e.g. the Applebaum has saved me countless times, so in “my” version it wouldn’t be possible.
Infinity Rinlock feat. Glinda, Baleful Banker & Gnomeferatu – Witchwood Post Nerf!
Devilish. I like it, gonna try that!

Having played more I realized that the deck could actually use some weapon removal but I would not really know what to replace honestly.

I keep seeing these with Elize. Doesn’t make sense to me at all though. I’d rather include Sindragosa instead of her or something with a proper impact, what if you draw her early and then your dragons fury pulls the 2 mana card pack? Not really a good sceanrio. Is there a special reason she keeps popping up?
peer263's #40 Legend Elemental Value Mage (May 2018)
Best thing about him is that his damage heals you as Frost Lich Jaina. So yeah, his AOE skills are quite useful. You could go for more elemental synergy, though, especially if you’re low on dust. A few of the other cards are especially good if you played an elemental last turn, so I could imagine a second Blazecaller in his place. But drake is certainly a very good card, you can always give it a try, doesn’t sound bad at all. Just something to consider!

Oh wow, I played both for a while now and this one actually fixes the issurs where mine falls short. Very nice deck indeed!

Altight, there we go, finally had a chance to get around to exporting the deck. It’s too slow and lacks a bit of draw imo, you can crush slower decks with 5 amaras at times but against even warlock you just get steamrolled. Needs more refinement for sure!

Arugal + Book is really solid. I have seen other decks even include Giants because of it, if you have those cards as opening hand combo you can drop a giant as early as T3 (and with arugal follow up with another one the next turn). It’s dangerous in this deck though, as there are not so many spells in there and if you discard them it can go sideways… But then again, it’s not a spell focused deck, so even if you do, it’s not a lost game.
Anyway, compare it to Arcane Intellect, it’s basically 3 mana draw 2 vs. 2 mana draw 3.
I have more of a problem with a) the Ooze (not really to much of a point in the current meta anymore) and the plated beetles, they’re neither elementals nor are 2 drops as important to mage. So I guess you could replace those with fireballs/frostbolts (from my gut feeling) to have a bit of removal or burn. But I did not try that substitution, so just brainstorming here…
Pikuranio's Legend Benedictus Quest Priest (May 2018)
Yeah, that was the plan, I just forgot. Duh. Plus, I currently have problems with hearthstone crashing all the time on my computer so I am playing mostly from my iPad, which contributed to that I guess 😉 Will do so soon, planning on polishing it a bit tonight. Just too weak at the beginning of the game unfortunately, I have the feeling it has a few combos that are just too clunky in there (making you draw too many combo pieces and then having to play those without comboing because you have nothing viable in hand when you’re unlucky).
Looking forward to getting other peoples’ opinions though!
Pikuranio's Legend Benedictus Quest Priest (May 2018)
I played a community deck that was very different but also quest oriented last month, mostly because I saw that coffin crasher didn’t really see any play so far. So then I realized how much value there is in Amara + Zola. I created my own version of that one and it has some similarities to this one but also some big differences. Didn’t play enough yet to really say if it’s good enough but I think it pulls its weight so far. Has some cool combos that actually worked out often for me so far. Maybe I am going to upload it later
KeleTess Tempo Rogue v13.1 (Season 51/Standard)
Haha, thanks, it worked already – literally a few minutes ago I opened a golden Shadowreaper Anduin! Now here’s me wishing you the same 😉 Thanks for trying once more! Btw, on a more serious note, your deck is really consistent for me so far. Not enough games for a reasonable sample size yet as I am currently leveling warrior but those games I played felt really good and the usual „one turn off“ if I did lose. How far did you actually get on the ladder with it so far? (I am mostly playing unranked atm, especially considering I am not that experienced with warrior yet)
IronRay's Legend Togwaggle Azalina Druid (May 2018)
(-1 nourish, if you’re curious what I’d leave out. Also sorry about the typos, wrote this from work doing something else in the meantime… It’s Starfall of course, for example.)
IronRay's Legend Togwaggle Azalina Druid (May 2018)
It’s a cool deck and I love playing it, but this is actually one of the decks where I think Duskfallen Avianna may be pretty rad. She’s not a great card for your opponent, so if swap with the twig it’s alright, you get to play your Malfurion for free for example. But if you have it and your Twig has been destroyed before, you can set up a taunt wall or Starfire + play her right away. Then your opponent gets to play a pretty big turn, true, but at the same he’s either gonna waste additional resources to kill off the avianna and then follow up with their normal turn or they’re going to dump a lot of minions on the board which togwaggle + azalena + naturalize would like to talk about with them.
I am definitely going to play with that combo even more using these cards!
KeleTess Tempo Rogue v13.1 (Season 51/Standard)
Hey, thanks for the reply! Not even a wall to me, I love discussing this game very much so I appreciate the thoughts, I tend to write really long texts myself to be honest! What you said about Lilian is really insane to me, though – I played her in a few games consecutively to try her and in every single one she reshuffled the unusable cards to the very same cards for me. Now that’s bad RNG if you ask me, LOL!
In those games I got super unlucky in general: Faceless Collector gave me 2 Nat Pagles in one Echo turn and then blink fox gave me Arsenal… Next game it gave me Milhouse Manastorm + some not so great choices and Blink Fox gave me Glacial Mysteries! 😀 That was really something. Especially playing a Milhouse against mage, what could possibly go wrong?
But yes, good points about Tess. She’s actually great value with only one card being replayed already. Building up her ability is really not that much of a good strategy for the same reason.
Just a quick addition: What is quite cool about her is that if you manage to fetch a DeathKnight from another class and play it, she will replay all your rogue cards as that is now the “other class”. That means she will respawn all your rogue minions in addition to casting all the spells again, which can be HUGE. But again, it’s very Yogg-y, so not a strategy to rely on after all. Just something to keep in mind when there’s seemingly no way out anymore.
Happy laddering to you, too!
KeleTess Tempo Rogue v13.1 (Season 51/Standard)
Cool, gonna try this, I was experimenting with all kinds of rogues and had all of these cards in and out of my deck at some point. Never in this combination though, it looks like what I wanted back then. Finally a rogue worth playing again!
PS: what I discovered that really disappointed me is that the faceless collector fetches any legendary it wants, which is at first not a problem and openly stated but I did not think about the neutral pool when I played my first Tess rogue, which is huge across all mana cost levels. And neutral not being a class you will get nothing from Tess.
And just to mention it before anyone makes crafting mistakes, I happened to have Lilian Voss and tried her for a game but unlike the claims I had read before she doesn’t reshuffle the spells from your opponents class in case you get unusable crap but instead ONLY replaces your rogue spells which is really really bad.
So keep that in mind and have fun! Thank you for the cool deck!
Analyzing The Upcoming Balance Changes - How Will They Affect The Meta?
That’s one of the more challenging ways of playing warrior tbh… also comes close to vanilla wow warrior. I think that’s more warrior-style than the stupid pirate warrior or the rush warrior I will probably never really enjoy as it’s just not good enough.
That’s one of the reasons I like the MC so much. You can, in the current meta, outheal almost all weapon damage over time and Amara is also a big help. However, the idea is really to fatigue and outvalue the opponent. So a few things come together:
– Dragonfire gone, best replacement is Psychic Scream. Problem: Card advantage. Solution: Scream twice until you’re safe and established a board, drew the keycards. Then go for Benedictus to get your opponents stack on top. Instantly ahead on board and in cards!
– Combo decks must be stopped or actually countered. Shudderwock is the worst enemy of this deck and almost certainly a loss. With one exception: Grumble is often played for the effect only, because he is the only threatening minion. The games I win I did it like this: put up random tinies, wait for Grumble, get alexstrasza. Then hope for no Hex, MC on Grumble, Drop Alex next round. Volcano only does 15, so the tinies save your Alex & Grumble, which do 15dmg to an enemy with 15 HP.
You can probably already see how unlikely it is to win against that matchup – other only chance is to get Shudderwock and Grumble from Benedictus and play the combo yourself while healing with Amara.
Any other game, though, you can easily outvalue all opponents by making the right plays and getting card advantage.
Tips:
– Combo spirit lash with Thalnos
– try to resurrect Thalnos before using it and to get +2 life
– Use Zola on Amara and try to keep her in your hand as long as you can
– Don’t Benedictus till you’re sure your scream boards are done and you have Anduin in your hand
– in mirror matches never play Benedictus first
– use Zola on Benedictus in taunt matches!!
– make smart trades and try to get the right spells from shadow visions
– consider not going anduin when you’re playing taunt vs taunt as healing your dragons can outperform the hero power of DK anduin, for whom you do not have so much ammo
It’s a complicated deck – usually you need to stabilize by turn 8-10 or you’re dead. After that, every draw is the right draw to control the board, which is why I love it so.
Good luck!
