Kitty Kat Druid - 70% Winrate
I haven’t tried the deck and don’t care much for Druid but I just wanted to say that we need more deck guides like that.
Kingsbane Rogue Boomsday Post-Nerf - Legend (HuRu)
Not sure here. No pirates but two shivs and two fans? No weapon removal also means auto-lose to malygos druid. Mossy as tech against spreading plague and malfurion is fine but these cards are bad against this deck anyway; plus, the body on the vilespine is not really necessary and the combo restriction is bad as there are no cards to waste. I feel like assassinate is better in that spot.
Pro & Streamer Boomsday Project Post Nerf Deck List Roundup
Since Giggling is gone I am feeling that due to the lesser value of techs such as Mossy Horror and Blood Knight, Odd Paladin is creeping into the meta again somewhat. I am not saying it is a bad deck or that it doesn’t take skill because both would be absolutely wrong, I just personally dislike it as a deck to play and to play against, so I think that’s a bit meh. Interestingly enough, maybe that’s the reason why I don’t run into Hunter much anymore. If that is the case, it will actually make Control Priest much better again. I did not expect these developments tbh; maybe my sample size is also just way too small. Did anyone else notice that? Personally I think Odd Pally is really tough with most decks aside from Control Priest. Really hard to play against with pre-nerf meta decks that lack GI now. Mage is just dead. Kiblers deck is fun but not much more; lack of spells makes it super vulnerable and also all-in mid-rangey if you wanna finish an opponent off, hand damage is also quite limited and almost always comes with prerequisites such as playing elementals the turn before, which is not always possible. But the genuine minion against minion combat is really refreshing. Try it if you have the cards and can use the change in playstyle for now but don’t expect it to carry you through the ladder just like that.
Overall funny how this one nerf turned out to shake up the meta considerably more than the release of Boomsday. But one addendum; the general hate I don’t get. It was no KTFT but there are quite a few cards that see play and Witchwood has also been called boring and not impactful enough, now we’re using a lot of these cards. Maybe the playerbase should chill a bit more and let them do their thing. The next expansion and rotation will shake up the game extremely. It will be very interesting to see what they come up with! Don’t let the general negativity get to you so much. Every game has more and less crowded phases. I still cannot imagine HS would die so quickly after years of thriving, especially since as of now, all the supposed „killers“ have not even shown that they are worth their salt. Artifact and MTG are good games and pretty cool – but they are not the same in a positive AND negative way. I personally would rather play both than just become salty and abandon the game just yet. At least that’s my feeling. Hoping to see some cool new decks from all this soon enough!
How to Crush the Dual-Class Arena - Strategies, Tips & Tricks for Power Level Picks
Amaz just quit HS on stream today because Arena is so meaningless with the bucket system (in the sense that you almost only draft neutral cards). I have to say, watching him play made this year’s arena indeed look worse than what you would imagine from “two classes”. On average 20 neutral cards and 10 class cards, so 5 each. Pretty mediocre. At least doesn’t affect all of HS but this event especially just does not really do it for me in comparison to the first time I have to say. Really a shame.
The Light Has Betrayed Me: What Does Priest Need to Get Back to the Top?
I think the biggest problem in HS is that there is this “we do not add anything to Standard” policy together with (as you correctly laid out in the article) problematic base / classic sets that already have a high power level difference. They should either have balanced the game completely during classic times and then kept those staples alive by giving those good cards tools (would feel more stale, possibly) or, and that I prefer by a large margin, add certain cards from each set to the standard set. Let’s be honest – Standard is good. it’s also good to introduce new players to the game like that. But with Rank 50-25 available, I honestly believe it would be fine to build upon these sets and maybe add 10 cards per rotation to the evergreen set or at least switch old problematic cards for those powerful staple cards from sets that followed it. Being dynamic about these things is not a bad thing and new players love to learn everything about new cards as well, such a practice would not make it too much to ask for but merely keep it interesting. It would also make the rotations feel less gutting and keep the deck building experiences a little more iterative, instead of just dictating new mechanics (like Odd / Even). Not that Odd and Even are stupid and not viable, it turned out there are good decks to empower those archetypes. But seeing how other mechanics were underwhelming despite the fact the actual community wanted them to be viable really badly (freeze shaman anyone?), it’s all the more frustrating to just know that these archetypes will never ever have a chance when they did not take off by the second expansion feeding that archetype specifically. It creates a lot of dead cards that could otherwise be utilized so much better.
For example, when was the last card printed that has Inspire? Joust (well… okay, the Raven, but other than that)? Even silence or charge? The playerbase universally agrees taunt is a good mechanism because it is. But why not have all the effects that were introduced with a varying set of cards in standard rotation to dynamically react to a sets shortcomings? I just don’t get it. This way we have 4 months of dead classes, then 2 months of OP classes and then a complete cut in which the class goes back to having absolutely nothing. With a selective rotation of both classic cards and switching them for “add-on” cards, we could have 6 months of constantly viable but not OP decks with each expansion.
Disclaimer: Might be easier said than done but I just feel that everything is better than knowingly doing something that obviously doesnt work well.
Analysis Of The Upcoming Boomsday Nerfs (Giggling Inventor, Mana Wyrm, Aviana) And Their Impact On The Meta
Well, let’s hope that the new meta will be more midrangey then. Especially fun times with Odd Warrior ahead if that happens. Would make combo decks retreat a bit as they cannot handle the pressure well enough and pure aggro can be stopped early enough to survive. So less Shudders and Quest Rogues (who are crippled either way already), that would sound like a good setup to play the deck to me.
Analysis Of The Upcoming Boomsday Nerfs (Giggling Inventor, Mana Wyrm, Aviana) And Their Impact On The Meta
Yeah, absolutely agree with that. Thank you! I have to say I did not play Odd Warrior all too much when I wanted to ladder before. There are just too many Shudderwocks or other bad matchups on the ladder. I will, however, always play the deck as long as it is viable for the sheer fun it provides when there is a chance to actually win (I mean shudderwock might as well be concede if you do not draw like a God and somehow manage to pressure)
For that, GI is indeed secondary. Just wondered mostly about the general development of whom you’d now face. Hunter I don’t mind all too much, feels good to play against imo, even if you’re unfavored. I often even managed to win and now that felt really good. Like winning a 40/60 uphill battle if you know what I mean. But yeah, let’s see if it stays fun, I really hope so.

Reasonable analysis,I like it. Just wondering what it will make Odd Warrior like…
Upcoming Boomsday Meta Nerfs: Giggling Inventor, Mana Wyrm, and Aviana
Hmmm I hope the next expansion has some cards to replace the dearly missed GI in my tempo rogue. Agree it was kinda sucky to play against in slow decks that just stall but in that kind of deck it actually WAS balanced; it’s not like there’s much other taunt or strategy besides maybe getting an extra turn should the board not be completely lost at that point.
However, overall, I like the nerfs; 7 seems very harsh but I think Blizzard got that one right, as it will enable Odd Warrior to still run it.
I personally would have been happy with summoning just 1 taunt and keeping it at 5.
Both other nerfs are reasonable imo.
Twitch Rivals: Hearthstone Gold Rush - Hallow's End - $25,000 Worth of Prizes!
Apologies; in the full ruleset it indeed says that. I thought they would bother to mention it the actual blog post if that were the case… Thanks for pointing it out. Usually there is not such a big difference between the documents they link and what they already clarified in the blog posts alongside so that caught me off guard.
Twitch Rivals: Hearthstone Gold Rush - Hallow's End - $25,000 Worth of Prizes!
Where does it state that? It only says that you cannot play your friends or tavern brawl. However, to enter the Arena, you always have the option to either buy a ticket or pay the 150G entrance fee. In the rules described above it does not state that you need to buy the pass using Gold you earned, it merely says you need to play Arena or “play” mode to earn the total sum of 5kG.
Twitch Rivals: Hearthstone Gold Rush - Hallow's End - $25,000 Worth of Prizes!
Thinking about it, the worst part is not omly that it’s obviously about who can grind Arena hardest but also who will pay the most. If you pay for arena each time it equals buying 150G for 2,39 or whatever a ticket costs. If they made arena free for the event it would be cool for the whole playerbase…
BlizzCon 2018 Attendees and Virtual Ticket Holders Get Card Back & 10 Card Packs!
Check the store. 40 bucks for the ticket. Not a good deal if you’re doing it for hs. If you wanna play wow classic maybe, but not for this. The get in here bundle is worth 9.99.
Plus not a lot else going for hs. In the past you would get things like golden marin the fox or similar, not a recycled promo pack. It even lacks the latest expac which is kinda lazy as it is exactly what was sold back then.

So lackluster and bad. Really worried for the game.
ZittunPink's #1 Legend Tempo Rogue (October 2018)
You’re very welcome. I have a version of Tempo Rogue that I just put online, maybe you like that one? It also uses Leeroy but in this case Rocketeer could be fine.
ZittunPink's #1 Legend Tempo Rogue (October 2018)
No, not really, it is really aimed at pushing everything face. Myra is the best draw engine and likewise the most alli-in card there is. Leeroy could be replaced by Reckless Rocketeer but in this case losing the 1 dmg on top is really bad as the card is also more expensive by 1. that means you cannot utilize the combo of Leeroy + cold blood + shadowstep + Leeroy + cold blood for 20 dmg.
I would agree with you on that. But that deck is no doubt strong, I would not play it personally for that very reason but it ripped me apart twice now, so to whoever liked this one give it a try.
