Khadgar
Hm, I forgot about Jan’Alai. That and power of Creation do add to a decent number of cards that combo well with this. I don’t think the combo with the other cards is very relevant, but you convinced me, I was too harsh on this guy.
I don’t think he’s quite 4/5 though. Against aggro and midrange you probably just have to play him on curve as a 2/2 for 2 mana. I still think he suffers a lot from consistency as a dead card in your hand for most of the game, which is the biggest problem; and even when you pull off the combo, other control decks can answer this + power of creation with Twisting Nether, Shrink Ray + Wild Pyro, maybe Vanish if a slower Rogue deck is functional. If they can’t then that combo wins you the game, like Alanna. I’ll give it 3/5
Power of Creation
With Sindragosa, The Lich King and Alanna rotating out, Control Mage is gonna need some new late game threats, and this could fill that role. I’m ready for the Reckless Rocketeer lethal highlights. I counted about 7/23 minions I’d be happy to get from this. 4/5
Messenger Raven
Worse than Pyromaniac for sure. Maybe Mage also wants this as a one-of to fill out its curve. 3/5
Khadgar
Not consistent enough, and not powerful enough when you do get a good combo with this. But mostly inconsistent. 2/5
Travelling Healer
I know the power level’s coming down with the rotation, but not THAT much. “I’ll put this in my deck”, said no one ever. 1/5
Unidentified Contract
Rogue’s getting a truckload of value options this set, and most offer the extra value at less of a mana premium than this does. Walk the Plank is better 2/5
Hench-Clan Burglar
Probably good enough to play, on account of the best 4-drop rotating out (Fal’dorei Strider) 4/5
Heistbaron Togwaggle
Great value, but slower Rogue decks will struggle to not just die to aggro; not sure if Rogue will be capable of getting consistent value from this. 3/5
Wrenchcalibur
Worse than the other Bomb cards, this is decidedly weak in terms of tempo and that’s a game breaker vs. Aggro and Midrange. 2/5
Blastmaster Boom
Potentially very strong, with 2 to 3 bombs in your opponents’ deck. Can also just be a War Golem. Hard to gauge this card with no real idea of the meta or how a Bomb Warrior archetype plays out… but if the old Dr. Boom is anything to go by, then this should be quite good. 4/5
Dr. Boom's Scheme
Tons of lategame armor vs. Control decks… which doesn’t win you the game. Armor gain is best vs. Aggro decks, but this card sucks against those and Midrange decks.
So… is there a point to gaining tons of armor in the late game? Actually, yes! This completely shuts down damage-based combo decks with Malygos, or Shirvallah OTK. So, not completely useless… it’s just terrible in its average-case scenario. 1/5
EVIL Cable Rat
Stats are too weak for its cost for Aggro and Midrange decks, but Control decks also need 2-drops with Raven Familiar, Radiant Elemental and Vulgar Homunculus rotating out. This replaces itself in your hand (good if you run Mountain Giant or Twilight Drake), and the lackey should be quite helpful. Two bodies for cheap also synergizes well with Hagatha, now that Fire Fly is going away.
It’s not for everyone, but I think this will see Constructed play. 3/5
Clockwork Goblin
Auto-include in any kind of Mechwarrior deck. Synergy with Dr. Boom also helps. This is at its worst vs. Aggro decks, but even then a 3/3 body for 3 mana is reasonable. 4/5
Lazul's Scheme
This at 10 charges + Forbidden Words will be the activators for the new OTK Mecha’thun Priest Kappa
Taking Stock of the Year of the Mammoth – The Impact of Knights of the Frozen Throne Keywords
Too much power being dependent on Hero Powers is a bad idea that leads to repetitive gameplay. It didn’t work out well with the Inspire mechanic in The Grand Tournament, nor with Hero cards from The Frozen Throne, nor with Odd and Even decks in The Witchwood. Hopefully Dr. Boom and Hagatha’s hero powers won’t be too destabilizing in the Year of the Dragon.
Ultimate Hearthstone 2020 (Year of the Phoenix) Standard Rotation Schedule & Guide - Which Sets Rotate Out, Hall of Fame, How To Maximize Your Dust Gain
Yeah, that’s exactly how it works. On April 9, 2019, the three sets from 2017 rotate out of Standard, which includes Journey to Un’Goro.

Yes. Disenchanting cards after they rotate out of standard works exactly the same as disenchanting cards that are part of Standard.
In the case of cards moving to the Hall of Fame, you want to make sure you get the free dust for having them on April 9, before disenchanting them.

Not for free. If you have regular Baku, then you get full dust value for it (1600).
If you own regular Baku and craft golden Baku, you spend 3200 dust, then get the 3200 dust back for a net gain of zero dust. You’d then have to disenchant the golden Baku to end up with +1600 net dust like in the first case.
So, you can choose to gain 1600 dust, or to get Golden Baku. If you do care about the golden hero power, this is a chance to get it for cheaper than you otherwise could (1600 dust cost instead of the normal 3200 dust to craft a golden Legendary).
Madame Lazul
Vs. Aggro: Poor. You want to find your taunts, heals and AoE, not a copy of your opponent’s Leeroy.
Vs. Combo: Poor. Getting a copy of a combo piece or a removal spell won’t help you rush them down.
Vs. Midrange: Alright. You’re mostly hoping to steal a copy of a defensive card, like an AoE spell. Getting a mid-sized minion won’t help.
Vs. Control: Great. The kind of cards you’re likely to be offered are exactly the kinds of cards you want in this matchup.
The card is great, but the Control Priest archetype might struggle vs. Aggro until it gets cards that fill the void left by Psychic Scream, Duskbreaker, Tar Creeper and Stonehill Defender. 4/5
Very strong against burn decks. This heals you, then demands removal from your opponent- twice. Control Paladin will likely want this. 3/5
