Heroic Innkeeper
Even if you manage to get a giant minion out of this, it’s likely it’ll just get answered cleanly with removal effects. 1/5
Hench-Clan Sneak
It’s not bad, but I have trouble imagining what kind of deck wants this over cards like Hench-Clan Thug, Nightmare Amalgam and Spellward Jeweler, as well as any class-specific 3-drops they may have. 2/5
Flight Master
It has niche utility, but the average case scenario is that of a card where your opponent gets to take advantage of its ability first. It’s not Duskfallen Aviana levels of terrible, but I don’t think this will see play. 1/5
Faceless Rager
So, let’s say you play a 2/3 minion on turn 2, then this guy on turn 3. He’s a 5/3 for 3 mana; slightly better than an Injured Blademaster, so fairly good. If your 2/3 gets damaged, or you played a 2-health minion instead, then this is 5/2, which is like an Ice Rager- a minion that didn’t see play. Add to that the added risk of you NOT having anything with more than 1 health to copy, and this becomes Magma Rager, one of the worst cards in the game.
Sure, you can play Twilight Drake on turn 4, then copy its health with this guy on turn 5… except… what control deck would want this guy, who is likely to be stuck in your hand as a 5/1 for many turns? It’s a very risky plan, and the payoff would be like a 5/8 minion on turn 5 that is hyper-vulnerable to Silence. It’s good to be sure, but it’s not so amazing that it makes up for its inconsistency. 2/5
Eccentric Scribe
I think this is a seriously good midrange threat. As Warpten says, this is comparable to Savannah Highmane, which is a powerhouse card. I definitely expect this to see play in meta decks. 5/5
Darkest Hour
Not really sure what kind of deck wants this. There’s a synergy with this and Rafaam’s Scheme… on turn 9, assuming you have both in your hand, and that you’ve been holding Rafaam’s Scheme for several turns already. Otherwise, I don’t see Control Warlock being able to recruit a bunch of minions out of this, and if you’re Zoo, you’ll just replace a bunch of small minions with a different bunch of small minions.
This could be great with Arch-Villain Rafaam- fill your board with small minions, then play Rafaam, then play Darkest Hour to replace your weak minions with Legendary minions… except for the fact that Rafaam also replaces Darkest Hour with a legendary minion, so you can’t actually do that. Maybe there’s a use for this that I haven’t seen yet, but I think this is just bad. 2/5
Burly Shovelfist
Actually reminds me of Icehowl… minus the stupid penalty where Icehowl can never attack your opponent. If new-Recruit Warrior is a thing, I expect it to use this alongside cards like Dimensional Ripper. 3/5
Azerite Elemental
If Cheap Spell Mage ends up being a thing, I expect this card to be in that deck. 3/5
Azerite Elemental
Has +0 spell damage the turn you play it. Has +2 spell damage the turn after you played it. Has +4 spell damage the turn after that, and so on.
Ursatron
This makes Oblivitron look a lot better. I’m actually starting to get scared; I remember what Kathrena was capable of. 5/5
Safeguard
There’s plenty of good taunt minion options out there. I don’t think this’ll make the cut into any good deck. 2/5
Mutate
0-mana spells can be very powerful just on account of their mana cost… but I’m not seeing it for this one yet. Turn 7 Giggling Inventor into this is powerful, but I don’t think it’s powerful or consistent enough to be good. This could be good with more support in the future. 3/5
Rapid Fire
Great synergy with Verseesa, but I don’t think it’s good enough to put her in your deck. This might still see play thanks to the synergy it has with Hunter’s Mark, as well as the general utility of pings. 3/5
Soul of the Murloc
Good in a Murloc deck… unless your board gets cleared before you get a chance to play this. 4/5
It’s just like War Master Voone! Except it costs more mana! And it doesn’t have a 4/3 body attached to it!
… yeah, this is just way too bad, Tempo-wise. 1/5
