Redband Wasp
We used a placeholder name, because there was no official translation for the card yet (the card was revealed in Chinese), not because it REALLY has “placeholder” in its name name
The Witchwood Card Review Part 4 - March 27th: Houndmaster Shaw, Glinda Crowskin, Hagatha the Witch, Lord Godfrey and more
Yeah, it looks ridiculous. The biggest issue I have with printing this now is that Warlock was looking good going into Year of the Raven anyway – it’s not losing that much with the rotation. And now this. If the class gets another broken card, it might be Tier 0.
We’ll have to see how it plays out first. As for the nerf, though, it’s hard to say. Cube was really powerful and they haven’t touched it (e.g. Defile is still there, and I think that Defile might be even better than this card to be honest, especially since you can put 2 copies into your deck).

It’s still way too early to judge. They usually want to showcase the new mechanics first, and only then show the more powerful cards. Some of the most broken cards ever were revealed during the last card dump at Facebook…
Nightmare Amalgam
Having all Tribes is not a part of the card’s effect – it just has all the Tribes (see “All” at the bottom). And just like you can’t silence any other tribe, silencing this one will be pointless too.
Rebuke
Sure, that sounds good, but do you realize how hard would it be to pull off? That’s a 4 cards set-up AND you need to have Uther already in play AND rest of the combo in your hand.
Oh, and I assume you’re talking about Wild – Beardo will be gone from Standard.

Not exactly, but close. We might see one or two more Odd/Even cards (probably even, because we’ve seen more Odds), but probably not more. At least not now, from what the devs said. We might get more synergy in the upcoming expansions, obviously.
StrifeCro's Kingsbane Tempo Rogue (March 2018)
This build takes more proactive approach with Fire Flies and Tar Creepers. Given that those AoEs are rather weak against Aggro anyway (FoK is just 1 damage for 3 mana, Flurry is expensive and hard to get working in fast matchups, because you need a buffed weapon first), this approach might work even better than having those AoEs.
Paladin matchup is terrible for this deck either way, you have to mentally prepare for the fact that you will lose it ~80% of the time.
Year of the Raven Celebration - Completing a Daily Quest Awards You a Pack!
The quest is going to be disabled for the course of the event.
Hard to say whether disabled means “you won’t be able to obtain it” or “you won’t be able to finish it”, but to be honest, I’d just finish it before the event to be safe.
The Witchwood Card Review Part 3 - March 22nd: Warpath, Face Collector
Next level tactics.
Face Collector
It doesn’t really make sense, though. Quest turns all your minions into 5/5. If you have a deck focused on the late game, then turning your late game minions into 5/5’s wouldn’t be an advantage..
You also don’t consider the fact that running a Quest is a huge disadvantage – you start each game with one card less. That’s why you NEED to plan your entire strategy around the quest. If you don’t, there is no point putting yourself in that kind of significant disadvantage in the first place.
3 mana Echo cards are just bad in Quest Rogue, no matter how you look at it. 1 mana surely would be broken. 2 mana – probably good, but not broken.
The Witchwood Card Review Part 3 - March 22nd: Warpath, Face Collector
You’re right, the card is incredibly powerful with Rotface IF he survives a turn. But the same can be said about tons of other cards. Such high priority targets just don’t survive a turn – and if they do, you’re usually so much ahead that you win the game anyway.
So while the synergy is amazing, I don’t think it really adds much to the card, as it will be relevant in what, 1 in 50 games?
Warpath
Well yeah, to be fair, Defile is one of the strongest (if not THE strongest) board clears in the entire game, it’s hard to compete with that.
Standard Decks To Try Out Before the Year of the Raven Standard Rotation
It should be working correctly right now!
Standard Decks To Try Out Before the Year of the Raven Standard Rotation
I apologize. That’s a side effect of printing new versions of the same, or just similarly named cards again and again. If I try to remember all of them, I mess them up sometimes Fixed it.
killinallday's #1 Legend Aggro Pirate Warrior (March 2018)
No, it’s not bad. But it’s just not good enough to force itself into every deck.
People played sub-optimal cards like Bloodsail Corsair or Southsea Captain just to get the Patches out. Before, it was worth it. Now, without the Charge, the card got significantly weaker, so it’s not worth it.
Plus, in decks that just played 2 “activators”, the chance of drawing Patches was significantly higher. Before, it was already bad, but not the end of the world – you still had 1/1 with Charge. Not drawing it is even more punishing, as it’s often completely useless – you can’t even use it to finish off a 1 health minion or something.
Right now, Patches servers the purpose it was supposed to serve – it’s a nice addition to the Pirate decks. If you make a full Pirate deck, you STILL want him, as he’s a free 1/1 most of time. If you run 10 other Pirates, the chance to draw him before you can summon him from the deck is significantly lower, so the risk/reward makes it worth it, as opposed to any deck just running “Pirate package”.
1 mana 1/1 would be too strong with Hyena. Unless they would get rid of Beast tag too.
