Mechanical Whelp
OK, if that is the case, then with this card is not that hard to pull the Battlecry ๐
Eureka!
Yeah, the problem is that even shaman run many 2 mana minions and many battlecry minions. So hiting something useful with this card is hard.
The most useful to copy minions in even shaman would be: Lich King, Al’Akir and Sea Giant.
Less useful minion to copy would be Argent Comander, Genn Greymane, Kalimos and Fire Elemental.. Other than than maybe a Flametonge totem or a knife juggler, but paying 6 mana for those is a very weak play.
Mechanical Whelp
You are missing 1 7 health minion to activate Star Aligner. (It needs 3 other minions with 7 health, not 2)
However if there is some enemy with 3 or more attack you can sacrifice your whelp before playing Star Aligner and you can activate it =).
Alternatively you can do it with 2 play deads + 1 FW Tech + coin or even in T9 with 2 play dead and hitting something with your whelp that kills it.
Star Aligner
OK now there is a hunter combo for it.
T9: play Mechanical Whelp (2/2 deathrattle summon a 7/7 mechanical Dragon)
T10:
1) Fireworks tech on the Mechanical whelp (+1/+1 and activate DR) (2 mana)
2) Play dead on Mechanical Whelp (1 mana)
3) Hit something with 3 or more attack with the whelp to kill it (or coin + 2nd play dead)
4) Play Star Aligner
It’s very easy to counter (if your enemy kills, silence or transform the whelp between your T9 and T10 there goes your combo)
But is playable.
Star Aligner
Maybe i’m wrong but i don’t think star aligner count as one of the three minions with 7HP, so even if you kill a cube with a doomguard inside, you would still need one more 7HP minion to be able to activate star aligner.. so, unless you already have a 7hp minion on board along with the cube, the only way i imagine you could do it would be:
T10:
1) Attack with cube (4 dmg)
2) Dark pact (-1 mana) on the cube.
3) Attack with both doomguards (10 dmg)
5) Doomsayer (-2 mana)
6) Star aligner (-7 mana 7 dmg all enemies)
7a) End turn and lose all minions at the start of next turn.
7b) Coin (+1 mana) + dark pact on doomsayer (-1 mana) to save your minions.
Omega Assembly
Seems like a solid card, similar to Blazing Invocation. with the added benefit of being much better from T10.
Tavern Brawl A Brawl of Fire and Ice
I did it with an Even Shaman (i did some modifications that benefited of the Wild Format, like adding two Spirit Claws to make wrath of the air totems more useful)
It made the run very very easy since most minions in the deck have 2 or more health (making them avoid the summon of Alune’s HP) and also it made it very easy to have a large board to buff with the fire festival spell. (i also got lucky and got the +2/+2 and inmune from LK.
Very fun brawl!
Kangor's Endless Army
I dont think so, i believe when u use a minion with magnetic as a buff, it’s never a minion, it is like a spell. i doubt it is considered as if a minion enters and dies.
And the original minion doesn’t die, it just gets buffed.
Unexpected Results
I think you are correct, its whats make more sense.. the alternative is more minions depending on sp, but i doubt it because the numeric part of the text is the value of the minions, so is more likely that is the part of the text that changes when you have minions with Spell Power on the table.
That said, This card seems good at 0SP, very good at 1SP, and amazing with 2+SP (even tho you can have bad luck and get a minion with low stats and an amazing Battlecry)
Heal Zoo Warlock Deck List Guide - Boomsday - August 2018
With Even Shaman is not hard to fight this deck, unless the warlock uses Keleseth in their T1-T2.
Then, it becomes a really difficult match, not impossible to win, but very very hard.
Zilliax
Seems like a good card to me, it’s like Corpsetaker but with rush instead of windfury and usable as a buff on mechs. (Also without the problem that corpsetaker sometimes doesn’t have all the attributes depending on which cards you already draw from your deck). I think this card will probably be VERY good in some mech decks but still is to early to say for sure.
New Hearthstone Expansion Announced - The Boomsday Project!
@C0l0rs relax, I was just adding to your point to say that even if you could somehow use Curio along with this card, it still wouldn’t produce a 30/30 minion in any case (14/14 in the best possible scenario)
New Hearthstone Expansion Announced - The Boomsday Project!
Even if you manage to copy a Curio as a rogue, He only gain +1+1 when you “draw” a card. As soon as you fill your hand and the cards start to “burn” he stops gaining stats.
Looking Back at the "Worst" Expansion in Hearthstone - The Grand Tournament
OK, thx, my bad ๐
Looking Back at the "Worst" Expansion in Hearthstone - The Grand Tournament
Hi, Great article!! i stopped playing when Blackrock came out, and only came back last year a couple of weeks before Catacombs, so this was a nice read about a period i missed.
There is one thing you said tho that i think is incorrect “inspire…was the first new keyword since launch…” Maybe i’m wrong but, wasn’t “Deathrattle” the first introduced keyword after launch? i remember it came out along with the first adventure (Curse of Naxxramas).
Mossy Horror - A Hidden Metabreaker?
Damm, last season i played even shaman with a lot of success, hope ppl dont start using this card more now, because the deck relies on a lot of 0-1-2 dmg minions… The good part, is that by turn 6, Even shaman is usually starting to drop some minion with more attack (Fire Elemental, Gigants, Fire Plume Phoenix, corpse taker, etc) that don’t get affected by mossy horror’s Battlecry, so it wouldn’t necessarily clear your table, Also, Flametongue totem keeps some minions out or range too, even if it dies itself on the Battlecry.
Tavern Brawl - Blood Magic - Standard
I did it with a Paladin deck with 2x”sound the bells”, 2x “Young Dragonhawk”, 2x “Blessing of Kings”, 2x “Blessing of Might” and a bunch of cheap charge minions.
The idea was to play a young dragonhawk on T1 and buff him on T2 to at least 15 attack, but since i didnt draw him i went with the back up plan:
On turn 1 i played the coin, a Bluegill Warrior and buffed him with sound the bells and Kings up to 16/25 and attacked, my opponent surrendered on his T1. (it was risky cos the enemy might have killed me easily since i was left at 6HP)
Rush Tempo Warrior Deck List Guide - Witchwood - May 2018
Played on rank 4 against a deck similar to this but with Prince Keleseth.
I lost using Even Shaman leaving him at 1hp. i was surprised at how good this deck was, however it must be noted that he played Keleseth on turn 2 or 3 which probably made a huge difference to how the deck normally plays. Still, pretty impressive if he got to rank 4 using that deck.
Even Shaman Deck List Guide - Boomsday - August 2018
From 10 to 5 this decks is awesome. i don’t play that much (between 3-8 games a day) and got an amazing winning streak using this decks a few days ago from 2 stars rank 8 to 3 stars rank 5 (i probably lost like two matches). After that I’ve only played 4 matches at this rank (2 wins 2 losses). Maybe i’m wrong but it seems to me that there is a lot more control decks in these ranks, so I don’t think that this deck is going to perform that well. Hope i’m wrong ๐
This is the deck i used in case anyone wants it.
