Desert Obelisk
I love it. Some streamer will make an OTK Druid deck with this and the new Elise card. However, I rate my cards on constructive play value, so it’s gonna be a 1/5 from me.
Bazaar Mugger
Mehhh, this is weird. Not really sure what the purpose of this card is. It’s too slow to see play in a burgle deck, and it doesn’t have good stats to accompany the rush. Seems like this card won’t be played. 2/5.
Wild Bloodstinger
It’s Dirty Rat, but reskinned for Big Hunter. I love this. This card can most likely kill anything it pulls out and is still a threatening body. 5/5.
Scarlet Webweaver
Did some one say Big Hunter?! No? Nobody said Big Hunter? This card is really good, it has ridiculous combo potential and it’s definitely worth its weight in mana. 4/5.
Making Mummies
Well, I’m eating my hat now. For those of you who don’t know, I made a prediction that the Paladin Quest would involve summoning 1-health minions, and I said I’d eat my hat if I was wrong.
Jokes aside, I don’t like this card. It relies on an expansion specific keyword, we’re not getting anymore reborn minions after this, so this deck will be immediately be lost in the next expansion. 2/5.
Expired Merchant
Archivist + this + Warlock Quest. Choo Choo, the Quest Warlock Train doesn’t have brakes. 5/5
Hidden Oasis
If I hadn’t seen the Druid Quest I would’ve dunked a 2/5 rating on this card, but with the quest this card is a bit ridiculous. Definitely a 4/5.
Elise the Enlightened
It’s time to go… INFINITE. I’m just going to wait for some big twitch streamer to discover an OTK combo and absolutely kill the meta with Combo Druids. 5/5.
Dinotamer Brann
I’m seeing a lot of mixed reviews on this card, personally I think it’s good. You get a lot of stats for the low low price of 7 mana. Immediate damage is no joke, and with just a bit more support, this card could see play in a killer deck. 4/5.
Reno the Relicologist
My profile picture has been defiled, and I am deeply disappointed in Blizzard right now. Wild Reno Mage is the only deck that will play this, but that’s only because it has other ‘no duplicate’ cards to use. Right now, restricting your entire deck for an uncontrollable AOE is painfully bad.
Armagedillo
I’m going to guess that Blizzard is going to print more taunt cards for Warrior, but Warrior has 0 decent taunts right now, those taunt cards coming this expansion better be hella good for this to see play. I don’t have much hope for this card, it’ll probably get lost in the midst of Bomb Warrior. 2/5.
Plague of Murlocs
Wow. It counters Big Priest and Conjure Mage, a very good wild deck and a very good standard deck. 5/5
Sandwasp Queen
A 4 mana 7/3 that is spread across 3 bodies and can be pulled out earlier than turn 4. As much as I hate aggro, this card will be an auto-include because it’s THAT good. 4/5.
Salhet's Pride
I hate this. Standalone, it’s awful, but when Paladin eventually gets another aggro deck, this will be really good. 3/5.
Brazen Zealot
If the Paladin quest doesn’t involve summoning 1-cost minions, I’ll eat my hat. Jokes aside, I hate this. I opened Baku when Witchwood came out and I succumbed to making a Baku Paladin (Yeah yeah, I was part of the problem.) It was very uninteractive and unfun to play. Aggro Paladin is boring, please give us something else Blizzard. On to my actual rating of the card. It’s probably not that great. It’s cleared easily it requires other small support to be good, so you have to have good support on turn 1 for this to be decent. 2/5.
Psychopomp
Big Priest actually doesn’t want this card. As a wild Big Priest player, I can say for sure that they don’t want a 3/1 in the Pool. I’ve had my fair share of summoning Barnes over and over again. The last thing I want in my deck is another dead resurrection minion. However, the deck that does want this is Deathrattle Priest. I always found Deathrattle Priest to be fun and I hope they print more synergistic cards for it so it can resurface. Sadly, without more support, 2/5.
If Warlock gets a 1-cost lackey drop this expansion, this card goes from good to broken. Even without a 1-cost lackey drop, it’s still 8/8 stats on turn 4. Remember the good ol’ 4 mana 7/7? He’s back. I’m rating this card 5/5.
