Hearthstone Competitive Ladder - Theorycrafting A New, Improved Ranked Format
My idea for quiet some time now:
Tavern Brawl = stays as is
Casual = No ranking system, ‘cosmetic’ rewards for invested playtime
Ranked = ‘Usable’ rewards like actual cards, dust; in game ranking list – best players get invited to special monthly constructed events
Arena = ‘Usable’ rewards like actual cards, dust; in game ranking list – best players get invited to special monthly Arena events
Tournament = point rewards to qualify for HCT and other ‘pro’ events
Maybe it would be good to cut ‘Ranked’ entirely and let Arena take it’s part. idk tbh.
Heskey4Lyfe's Post-Nerf Legend Spiteful Druid (February 2018)
Zola is very good with nearly every minion in this deck, depending on the situation.
Hungry Crab = Kill more Murlocs
Prince Keleseth = More buff
Tar Creeper, Chain Gang = More taunt
Well, I think you get the point.
That said, I don’t think Zola is that important. But it fits the curve and I don’t know what to run instead of her, to be honest.
SilverName's Post-Nerf #18 Legend OTK Exodia Paladin (February 2018)
Call to Arms thins the deck, hence making you combo faster. Moreover, the minions it gets are all ‘quality’ minions that help to survive the earlier game.
Quest for Packs: You Could Win up to 3,000 Packs! Also, Introducing the Year of the Mammoth Card Pack Bundle!
Are you complaining that it takes some time to open the packs? That’s … interesting. o.O
Upcoming Balance Changes/Nerfs to Bonemare, Corridor Creeper, Patches the Pirate, and Raza the Chained!
I want to point out that Azure Drake is barely seeing any play since it ‘rotated to Wild’. What was once a powerhouse of Standard is now just a fringe play.
Upcoming Balance Changes/Nerfs to Bonemare, Corridor Creeper, Patches the Pirate, and Raza the Chained!
Of course, why not?

Not the Wild meta I’m experiencing, sorry.
Pirate Warrior
Kingsbane Mill Rogue
Big Priest
Jade Druid
Evolve Shaman
Cubelock
Raza Priest
Malygos Druid
Aggro Paladin
Aluneth Mage
Quest Mage
Aggro Druid
Tempo Rogue
Reno Raza Priest
Aggr Hunter
Giants Hunter
Giants Warlock
I’m pretty sure I missed many more competitive decks that I played against on ladder in January.

It wasn’t ‘the best deck’ and it wouldn’t have been, even without the nerf. Good thing everybody can have his/her own opinion …
How do you know I’m a standard player? And I wonder how you came to the conclusion that I’m ‘privileged’ in any way?
Btw I believe that Wild is far more competitive than Standard. Not in an eSports sense, but the meta is so diverse it’s far more difficult to adjust properly when grinding the ladder.

And wasn’t it the small indy company who once said that they do not care about power balancing the Wild format? Because it’s a WILD format? Oh well…
Regarding the nerfs:
I’m fine with Bonemare and Creeper; seeing them all the time became to boring waaayyy to fast. Patches and Raza, on the other hand … on one hand, there’s the flavor aspect. Those guys are fucking legendaries – I guess they should do legendary things, then (btw I would’ve been perfectly fine with Bonemare and Creeper if those where legendaries). But what really annoys me (it does so every time) is the bullshit Blizzard has to say about why they are nerfing those cards when the majority of the players doesn’t care anymore.
‘…This change should give Wild players more flexibility when building their decks…’
This. Is. Crap.
Wild is such a diverse format with TONS of decks – without Patches. Yes, the power (and rng luck) level is 10 times higher than it is in Standard, but that’s not gonna change if you nerf good cards – I even dare to say that it makes Wild a badder format than it is now. Because the more good cards you have, the more options you’re able to use.
Maruku's #23 Legend Spiteful Druid (January 2018)
Sad thing is that this statement is absolutely true…
Carvaggio's Spiteful Tempo Druid (January 2018)
I’ll never understand how you can play such a deck successfully. 4 creatures that depend on 2 spells. All of them are abysmally bad if you draw the spells before them.
But yes, I guess that’s the state of HS right now. You better draw your cards in the right order or else you’re fucked.
God … an Infestation cast off of Archivist can even hit you or one of your guys …
Tavern Brawl - Hall of Champions
Wasted opportunity.
This is such a great idea, even for a hole new play mode in Hearthstone. Yet no announcement, just a regular brawl…
That said, fantastic brawl!
Feno's Quest Rogue - Top 50 Legend (January 2018)
Beautifully designed, regardless of it’s actual power level.
Aggro Token Druid Deck List Guide (Post Nerf) - Kobolds - February 2018
Maybe I’m dumb but: What the heck is this ‘Control Priest’ thing? The priest decks I know are Razakus, Big and Spiteful Summoner Dragons, maybe Inner Fire Divine Spirit Combo.
Can someone please explain?
How-to Beat The Darkness - Dungeon Run Final Boss Guide
Erm … am I wrong or is that a huge misplay at 09:33?
How-to Beat Azari, the Devourer - Dungeon Run Final Boss Guide
In my first 10 runs, I met The Darkness 9 times. Since then, I didn’t see him again. I wonder if Blizzard changed it’s appearance rate or something. A really frustrating final boss.
Windello's #1 Legend Combo Dragon Priest (December 2017)
Why sad? Dragon Soul simply is a bad card as long as there will be no magical way to get it by turn 3 every single match.
And even then, it might not win games. To many ‘if’s and ‘when’s there …
It’s not even funny to play it in fun decks because, well, most of the time you don’t draw it or draw it when it doesn’t matter anymore. :/
Next Week's Wacky Waxy Winter Veil Tavern Brawl Rewards 3 Knights of the Frozen Throne Packs!
Love it! This is going to be fun.
I really like all of it; the entry fee and the idea of different formats.
