Farewell to Hearthstone Top Decks from Evident
I’m not sure if I understand that correctly … Evident ‘sold’ the site to ZAM (or the fusioned or whatever you’d call that) and now his business relationship with ZAM ‘ended’?
What happened? Did they kick him? Or was that planned from the beginning? I’m curious …
@Evident: Thank you for this great site. My main source of Hearthstone news since I started playing.
Are Genn Greymane and Baku the Mooneater too strong?
As the past months told us … obviously not!?
Are Genn Greymane and Baku the Mooneater too strong?
+1
Even as a Wild player, I’m perfectly fine with that solution. π

I don’t get it … how can your opponent gift you cards before the start of the game?
Are Genn Greymane and Baku the Mooneater too strong?
Point is … the Hero Power is useless for Rush Warrior anyway. So you still give your opponent an upgrade. Which you usually never do (besides you playing a combo deck, but even then, permanently upgrading your opponent isn’t the most clever thing).
Anyhow. Blizzard will never nerf them this way. π

‘…Give the same buff to both players, akin the Project cards from The Boomsday Project…’ how can this be a suggestion? If I give discounted/upgraded hero power to my opponent (who might be playing with odd AND even cards) and I’m cutting my card pool in half … then I have a clear disadvantage most of the time, right!?
This would only remotely work if there where a ton of other ‘if your deck contains only’ cards like Murkspark Eel. But even then I’ve my doubts.
Besides that, good article.
Developer Insights with Joseph Magdalena: The Season of Rastakhan!
I want that shirt!
Bwonsamdi Spiteful Priest - Rastakhan 2nd Nerf - #15 Legend (Thijs)
Even if you get Hakkar (and that gets destroyed), isn’t casting his blood once better than drawing and multiplying it? Of course, Grand Archivist has to stay alive in order to do that. π
Hearthstone Patch - Balance Update, Lunar New Year Event, Curse of Hakkar Event
How do we get those cardbacks. Man, they are beautiful. Especially the ‘white’ one.
The Neutral Combo Card: The Best Mecha'thun Decks in Hearthstone's Rastakhan's Rumble
I’m not interested in the deck but your reply deserves some praise. Great reply!
Egg Paladin - Rastakhan Post-Nerf - Early #6 Legend (Adriano)
Maybe that’s a dumb question but … how can this be post-nerf and early Legend if the nerfs kick in today?
Upcoming Balance Update - Nerfs to Cold Blood, Flametongue Totem, Equality, Hunter's Mark and Lesser Emerald Spellstone
We all know they are NOT doing this (filling niches).
By now it is pretty safe to assume that Blizzard wants to make Basic and Classic completely irrelevant to sell more new product – especially as the HS year will change with the next expansion.
Hail Activision – f***ing up Blizzard completely. I imagine them having dinner with Disney, laughing about all those stupid fanboys/girls …
Jeez, I’m really upset right now. π
Upcoming Balance Update - Nerfs to Cold Blood, Flametongue Totem, Equality, Hunter's Mark and Lesser Emerald Spellstone
If by ‘dead’ you mean ‘competitively dead’ then I’m sorry to say but … yes.
Glad to see Even Shaman get killed though, to many Shamans on Standard ladder *ironyoff*. And yes, it is a dominant force in Wild but who cares about Wild (Blizzard told us that they don’t)? I’m a Wild player btw, there are other problems than Even Shaman in that format. π
Upcoming Balance Update - Nerfs to Cold Blood, Flametongue Totem, Equality, Hunter's Mark and Lesser Emerald Spellstone
They will nerf those shortly before they rotate out of Standard. π

Okay … now that I’ve read it …
‘This doesnβt mean […] that all Basic and Classic cards should be ineffective…’
*slowly but surely making all relevant Basic and Classic cards ineffective*
Sorry, but this is totally ridiculous. Just kill those f***ing 2 sets entirely and stop bullsh**ing us with ongoing nerfs.
Upcoming Balance Update - Nerfs to Cold Blood, Flametongue Totem, Equality, Hunter's Mark and Lesser Emerald Spellstone
Without reading I have to say this – due to this next change, this will be the 4th time in this HS ‘year’ that a deck I built for a F2P friend will become uncompetitive. I can’t imagine how frustrating that is and I’m pretty sure this will be the reason she now stops playing HS alltogether.
God job, Blizzard.
Baku it up: Budget Odd decks in Hearthstone's Rastakhan's Rumble
Well written. I especially like the upgrade paths, that’s very clever.
Culling Classic: How the Continuous Nerfs Render Entire Playstyles Non-Viable
Same now for Mage because of the Mana Wyrm nerf. Don’t expect to see any competitively viable Mage deck anytime soon … :/
Thanks for clarifying that.
