Lilian Voss
It’s a four drop (which Rogue needs), it is well statted, and it curves perfectly into Ethereal Peddler.
Going to be pulling out the old Burgle Rogue deck soon.
Runeforge Haunter
That’s a great combo and all, but you would still lose health unless you had a Violet Illusionist. So you would have to pre-equip the weapon.
The Most Interesting Knights of the Frozen Throne Card Reveals from Week One
Cool article! I have enjoyed seeing these new mechanics and I am excited to try them out.
The reason the Spreading Plague card is worded like this is because Blizzard didn’t want it to do nothing if your opponent has no minions. Currently, Unleash the Hounds doesn’t summon ANY minions if your opponent has no minions, whereas Spreading Plague will always give you one scarab even if your opponent does not have minions.
Cobalt Scalebane
This card is going to be good. Not because of the ability, but because of the Dragon tag. Midrange Murloc Pally can drop Primordial Drakes and throw in 1 or 2 of these to help with Curator synergy and to help the semi-aggressive theme of the deck. I don’t think this will be good enough to run in Dragon Priest. You don’t really want to be playing this on turn 5 when you have Draknoid Operative. However, this card does have some really good synergy with a high health Twilight Drake.
Prince Valanar
It actually has 4 more stats than Wickerflame. He is a 2/2. So much better.
Don’t just write this card off. It could be crazy good! You can do an insane Shaman combo on turn 9. Play this, give it +3/+3 and freeze it with new card, and copy it with the 3 mana Prince card! Insane value! You can even throw in some 0 mana Penguins!
While you do that, I’m going to build a Warrior deck designed to get infinite Finjas.
I love Hearthstone. ๐
Dead Man's Hand
This card is viable in so many archetypes. Fatigue/Control Warrior. N’Zoth Control Warrior. C’Thun Warrior. Arcane Giant Warrior. Maybe even Quest Warrior.
Oh, and this is a great card for all you Medivh Finja Tempo Warrior players out there.
*cough*
Knights of the Frozen Throne Card Clarifications & FAQ
Hey Evident,
If I open Deathstalker Rexxar in the first 10 packs of the next set, and then go defeat the Lich King, is it possible for me to receive a second Deathstalker as the reward? I know you probably don’t know the answer to this question, but it should be something keep in mind.
Have a great day!
Knights of the Frozen Throne Card Review (First Five Revealed Cards)
Prince Keleseth is probably not going to see play in Taunt Warrior because it reads “two cost CARDS”, not “two cost MINIONS.” Fiery War Axe and Sleep with the Fishes are probably too good to be cut from the list. There is, however, one archetype that this card would excel in.
Quest Hunter is rising.

Hey Evident,
Thank you so much for always doing in-depth coverage of the new expansions! You always do such an awesome job! It makes my day when I come on Hearthstone Top Decks and you have uploaded the latest card reveals. I hope you enjoy seeing the new cards as much as I do! ๐

How-to Best Expand Your Hearthstone Card Collection
Heyo,
Fantastic guide! Opening new cards is my favorite part of Hearthstone, and this guide should help me get the cards I need faster! Thank you!
I bought the 78 pack deal recently and opened packs until I got a legendary. I then stopped opening packs and haven’t opened any since then. I did this to “cheat out” the pity timer because of the “get a legendary in the first 10 packs in a new expansion” feature. However, if the pity timers are separate for each pack, this won’t work, correct?
Thank you for writing this, and have a great day/night!
Tavern Brawl - All-Star Squad
Played some matches against a friend, and he tried out Nerubian Prophet with Warlock. It doesn’t really work against things like Patches, but it was still fun to try.
High Priestess Finja
Heyo,
I also recently crafted Finja and have been trying out some Murloc Priest variants. If you have Lyra, you could try running a combo (Divine Spirit/Inner Fire) Priest with Finja. A 16/16 Finja with a full murloc board on turn 6 is somewhat difficult to deal with.
I also built an “Aggro Priest” that has a lot more early game options such as Lightwarden and has the Finja package. You could try something like that as well.
Control Paladin Deck List Guide (August 2017, Standard) โ Season 41
Hey,
Thanks for your descriptive response! I already have both Harrison and Gluttonous Ooze, so I will experiment with them in the decklist.
Thank you for your time!
Control Paladin Deck List Guide (August 2017, Standard) โ Season 41
Heyo,
Nice guide! I have been waiting for a Control Paladin guide to come out on this website, and this was very informative! Well done!
I am trying to decide if I want to finish crafting Control Paladin, so I have a couple questions regarding the decklist:
Does this deck ever feel lacking in card draw? Curator is the only card that actually draws cards, but there are 6 discover effects in this deck. Having played the deck, do you feel like it has enough card draw/discover effects to consistently perform well against both aggro/midrange and control decks?
If I wanted to run a form of weapon removal, what card could I replace?
Thank you for writing this guide, and have a great day/night!
High Priestess Finja
Hello,
Thank you for the prompt response! ๐
When I get Finja, I will probably test out the Tar Creeper replacement just to see if it is viable. I think Talonpriest is an insane card, but I’m not sure how often you can land it on a good target in this deck.
Good luck!
High Priestess Finja
Dang, I do love it when people try out crazy stuff. ๐
Fantastic decklist man! It looks really fun, and I would totally try it out. The problem is that I don’t have Finja yet. He is next on my crafting list, but it could be awhile.
Although I haven’t tried this deck, I have tried a very similar version that does not run FInja. You obviously know this deck much better than I do. However, I feel like this deck doesn’t perform well in the early game unless you get a really good curve. I also feel that Talonpriest can sometimes be difficult to find a target for in the early game. If you were to take out the Talonpriests and say 1x Shadow Visions, what early game cards would you add to the deck?
Thank you, and good luck!
Fibonacci's N'Zoth Control Warrior (June 2017, Season 39)
Hey all,
What is a good replacement for Cairne? I will eventually craft him, but are there any good replacements that I can use while I am waiting?
Thanks!
RastaFish's Yogg Spell Miracle Rogue - #7 Legend (June 2017, Season 39)
Thanks for your reply!
As standard Miracle Rogue, yes, I can see how you can have many win conditions. This deck seems to have much fewer (solid) win conditions. Edwin and burst damage with Kobold are the only solid win conditions this deck has. Sherazin is ok if you actually draw it and it doesn’t get Polymorphed. Keeping control of the board against aggro is sort of a win condition. Random cards from your opponent’s class are only good some of time. And relying on Yogg to be a serious win condition is scary. Basically, you are relying on moderately good RNG combined with the Gadget draw engine and some burst.
I haven’t tried the deck out, and as he got to Rank 7 legend, the deck is obviously good. I just don’t understand how this deck wins against the top tier decks played at high level legend. If you could, say, give me a few pointers on individual matchups with this specific decklist, that would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you, and GLHF! ๐
Sherazin is ONE CARD. One four drop in the whole deck makes Miracle Rogue somewhat inconsistent. If you don’t draw Sherazin, you don’t have a four drop and he doesn’t get value for the rest of the game. Also, even if you play Sherazin on curve, he sucks against aggro. Lillian Voss is much better statted, is a four drop, and provides a cool effect.
I’m not saying that Sherazin is a bad card, and I’m not saying that Lillian Voss is going to see a lot of play at high ranks. I just think that it’s a cool card and that I like it in Rogue. There is no reason to have a negative attitude about interesting cards that help new Rogue archetypes.
