KFT Kazakus N'Zoth Highlander Priest Deck List Guide (August 2017, Standard)
The decks has everything going for it – it’s control, it’s sweet, it’s favoured against Jade Druid… best deck I’ve ever played. Some changes incoming though, will make it more greedy for the time being until some aggro pops up again.

Yes it’s a pretty good card to include and the meta is definitely slow enough that the loss of tempo doesn’t matter that much, it’s just really difficult to fit cards in at the moment. There will be some changes to the decklist and I think Arfus will make it, we just have to wait a little bit more and see where the meta is at.
It’s easy to adapt to the increasingly greedy decks that exists right now, but we have to remember that barely 4 days have passes since launch. Everybody is experimenting with the cool new 10-cost cards, but we have to be cautious about aggro sneaking in. There are already complaints that the meta decks are way too slow for ladder climbing and if there are good aggressive options, people on ladder will gravitate toward them. Stay tuned for changes and stats.

I tried to fit it but there is just not space left. There are some changes to the deck incoming, but once again there was no room left for drake and if there was, Ysera would probably be a better fit. Primordial Drake was the idea Curator target but given that there is almost no aggro currently on ladder, the deck will have to go in an even greedier direction.

Depends on what you want to do there are some options. If you want a higher threat density, replace N’Zoth and another card with 2x Arcane Giant, for instance. Most of the deck is spells so they should cost close to nothing when the midgame comes. it’s hard to make recommendations without knowing if you are on a budget and what that is – for instance, although Giants are epics they are from an adventure, which makes them virtually free. So that could be a solid option.
A very simple replacement for that slot is Manic Soulcaster – she can give you extreme value when she shuffles one of your bigger minions back into the deck and the body is also solid early. If you save the coin long enough you can even combo her with something like Sindragosa or The Lich King on the same turn.

I tried to fit him in but the deck didn’t have enough space for all the expensive stuff. The problem is that not every game is going to have Frost Lich Jaina involved and then, Geddon is a bit of a dead card – he can clear a board of tokens, but he will hurt you in the process and becomes especially dangerous if the opponent ships everything to face because he can kill you through your own Ice Block and it’s rare to be able to kill the opponent only with Baron.
Definitely one of the top 3 cards that hover around this and wait for the moment to be included, but we have to see where the meta is headed. We want our cards to be strong on their own without necessarily being paired with others, especially one-of legendaries.

Happy to help! I don’t know if it’s necessarily better than burning people out and in the long run it may turn out not be, but it’s a breath of cold, fresh air and definitely has potential.
KFT Kazakus N'Zoth Highlander Priest Deck List Guide (August 2017, Standard)
The deck is extremely expensive, yes, but some budget alternatives are available, I’ll make sure to update the guide as I get to play the deck more and see what’s replaceable and where.
The deck is actually not as greedy as it could be, I saw some other Highlander Priests running things like Devour Mind (3-card Thoughtsteal), etc. I think in it’s current iteration the deck fairs reasonably against aggro, although of course it’s still at a natural disadvantage as a slow control deck. We have to wait a little bit and see exactly how prevalent aggro decks will be, especially if the rumoured already strongest deck of Taunt Druid continues to dominate them so hard.
As the meta starts to develop we will have more information and can tune the deck accordingly. I’d say it does a decent job of surviving aggro with proper mulligans and non-greedy plays but it’s hard to say as I’ve been playing almost exclusively against other control decks.
KFT Frost Lich Jaina Control Mage Deck List Guide (August 2017, Standard) - Theorycraft
His deck is greedier and fully geared toward the value plan with only a slight hint to hyper aggro decks. I’ve taken a more conservative approach and have accounted for a wider spectrum of aggressive decks that people will be using on the ladder to farm the greedy experimental lists.
If the meta slows down further I could see this list gradually evolving into something more like Dog’s.

That is somewhat true, but this deck uses N’Zoth for value as well. It has small synergy with Sindragosa and, of course, in the mathups where you want to N’Zoth you usually mulligan for Pyros. The deck has quite a bit of draw available as well to help find it.

There was a temporary bug that had removed Kazakus from the cards in the deckbuilder, but it should be all fixed now, the full guide should be done until tomorrow.
Forge of Souls - Hearthstone Top Decks Exclusive Frozen Throne Card Reveal!
It doesn’t necessarily have to be a two-of in the deck. 2x Fiery War Axe and 2x Bloodrazor are for weapons, two of which you are probably mulliganning for anyway. As long as you have one Fiery Axe drawn already, Forge of Souls will always find a Bloodrazor, which from what I’ve seen so far is the go-to and best activator for the deck. In that regard it seems a solid inclusion and I think initially I would run two just so I can have the consistency of finding either the weapons or the tutors for them in time and then see how needed the second copy is.
Obviously now with the rumour that the Warrior Death Knight might be able to dual-wield, this is looking a lot like a control card, although considering one of those weapons is probably Gorehowl, it’s really slow to get going if you have to fetch and equip the weapons.

Amazing, congratulations for getting a spoiler! And the card is excellent too, so a double win. There have been some theorycrafts about a new tempo warrior deck that might want this more than the others, but the card is definitely good in control as well. Not sure about pirates but there are indeed situations where you end up without a weapon, I guess this could help.
Rattling Rascal
Probably the best way to avoid the deathrattle is to play it in an Evolve deck. if it doesn’t die the next turn it curves into DK Thrall, so I guess that’s kinda cool.
Deathspeaker
Wow people are so overhyping this card. In 99% of cases it reads “give a friendly minion Divine Shield… until end of turn”. Kind of cool in Arena, but really… there are better things out there. I guess it’s cool with a Giant Sand Worm that somehow survived the turn it was played, in which case you are pretty much winning anyway.
Brrrloc
Yea, I guess if you need a critical mass of freeze effects it makes the cut, whether that’s a real deck or not remains to be seen.
Brrrloc
The real questions is do you play a 2 mana 2/2 that freezes or a 2 mana 2/2 murloc? The murloc deck has better options than that and if you want to freeze something with a minion you have Glacial Shard.
I’m assuming people are putting this at 4 stars because of the name alone.

Oh nooooooooooo! Almost as if this control deck is trying to slow the game down or something.
KFT Kazakus N'Zoth Highlander Priest Deck List Guide (August 2017, Standard)
Oh yes, I’m banking on it. I’ll keep this updated throughout the rest of the spoiler season, I imagine there will be more cards to add and there are a couple of choices I’m not currently happy with. Let’s hope DK Anduin will make it in here!
It sure can be! The guide is undergoing a change right now to reflect the most recent developments in the meta and offer more budget possibilities for people who want to try it out and Awaken did not make the cut in the new version. The big bonus it offers is obviously the ability to go above 30 health for those carefully calculated combos, but the main combo deck right now can kill from any life total, so it’s not that relevant.
Potion is fine against aggro and to protect you from burst after being whittled down.
