Obviously it’s Highlander Priest. You can check our detailed guide here: http://www.hearthstonetopdecks.com/decks/highlander-kazakus-priest-deck-list-guide-standard/

That’s very interesting! Geist definitely hurts Priests a lot, but I’m worried that in the ideal scenario, Scalebane comes down on the board a whole two turns before Geist ever could. Have you run into situations where you have to hold back your dragon and lose the pressure it provides?

You got me!
The new iteration of the deck changed quite a bit of cards. I tried to delete all mentions of the ones that were no longer in the decklist but I failed. Now I must restore honor to my family by committing Seppuku… or by doing a better job next time.

It’s the second best deck for ladder and much faster than the actual best, so if you want to reach Legend in the least amount of time with the highest win rate than yes, it is worth it.
On the other hand, if you are missing that many cards and are not really a Rogue player at heart, there are plenty of alternatives so that you don’t have to craft into the deck specifically. Just make sure you can beat it.

There is a card replacement section at the bottom of the guide and I just updated it so now it should answer your question.

Just cut him and play one of the next best cards that didn’t make it into the final list – Wild Promancer for more board clear options, Mass Dispel for the extra cycle and a little bit of value, Cabal Shadow Priest against midrange decks or Elise for added value in the control matchups.
Alternatively, if you really want to win the mirror matches, play a Mirage Caller.

Shaku is slightly better in this deck.

It’s the best of both worlds. This listwas derived by 2 days of playtesting with HCT pros and a lot of statistical analysis. We identified the “core” and then looked at #1 legend finishes, primarily focusing on the chinese server. Then we eliminated the absolute lowest win percentage cards and used those 5 flex slots to improve the two worst matchups.
In theory this should be the best and “optimal” list but who knows.

You can play a version of the deck that doesn’t have Velen and still somewhat burst them down, but it’s a lot less reliable to actually kill the opponent. Anything that gives you more cards or generates value is fine.

Shiv is indeed the best replacement and you put it really well. Mind if I immortalize your comment by adding it in the guide as a quote?

In the wise words of Opacho – Shiv. You are not really playing Thalnos for the spell power alone, Zealot is a horrible replacement.

If you want to be greedier and improve the mirror match, Mind Blast is OK but then you give up power somewhere else – cycling our anti-aggro tools. If you are facing too many other Priests, you can consider Burgly Bully and/or Mind Blast.
Miracle Rogue Deck List Guide - Boomsday - August 2018
You can consider Prince Valanar to boost your anti-aggro package but it’s not really needed because the deck wants to beat slower decks by outvaliuing them. You can cut one Mimic Pod to fit that in.

Yea that’s kind of how mirror matches work, it’s very hard to avoid that happening. Your best bet is to powercycle as much as possible and deny them draws – it’s important to fight for the card advantage. Usually the person who outdraws their opponent wins. Get 5 mana Kazakus potions that draw 2 cards whenever possible and use Potion of Madness to deny them Acolyte, Hoarder or Thalnos cycling.

It beats Druids by bursting them down from high health totals. The reason for the low winrate is because the deck is very popular and is being played by everybody – unfortunately most players who pick up the deck don’t recognise their win condition and try to play on the board against a stream of 10/10 and higher jades.
Highlander Priest Deck List Guide - Kobolds - February 2018
It’s not really needed. You beat Jade Druid by bursting them down with an insane Velen turn and can take them down from upwards of 20 hp easy. You have plenty of time to set that up in the matchup. Geist will remove your Holy Smite, which is absolutely crucial for dealing a lot of damage.
If you play Geist you will kill their Idols, but that doesn’t matter because you don’t want to go to fatigue. If you’re not killing them you will lose to the rest of their jade cards.
Typically it would be strong against slow control decks that hold back and try to take it to the late game, however the meta does not favour Mill Rogue at all – the two control decks that are really good are mostly resilient to being milled and the rest are aggressive decks that farm Mill easily.
