Hey look guys and gals, a new candidate for best card in the set just popped up!
Highlander Priest Deck List Guide - Kobolds - February 2018
Oh my god! How could this be? Is this even real life?

Yea because let’s cheat that into play instead of the actual 8-drop. Like how Tirion limits design space, right?.

Why does the rating system force is to give at least one start? Sometimes it’s a 0/5 and there’s nothing we can do about it.
Kobolds and Catacombs Card Review - First Reveals
The cards that you are talking about have only been “listed as unplayable” for competitive Standard play – the decks that people will bring to tournaments and will be the most optimized, efficient lists to grind the ladder for those who reach Legend every month.
From a more casual standpoint, no card is unplayable and I’m just as excited as the next guy to try do the fun wacky combos, maybe even destroy target player’s deck once…

When they unnerf him after he rotates out of Standard.
(no, it’s not confirmed and it’s very doubtful it will even happen)
Tempo Rogue Deck List Guide - Witchwood - May 2018
The deck is aggressive, based on gaining tempo by curving out with minions, Mimic Pod is a dead draw in the first 5-7 turns of the game. Not that things such as Leeroy aren’t, but you’d want to minimize those as much as possible. Might be worth considering but I probably wouldn’t try it.
How-to Beat & Counter Tempo Rogue - The Anti-Deck Guide
Those decks were built specifically for the HCT event, where the pilots favoured winning the mirror over anything else. If you noticed how the tournament went, these players didn’t ban the opponent’s Tempo Rogue and chose to target people’s Druid instead, whereas many other players who brought different lineups would ban the Rogue a significant amount of the time.
When I say that it makes no sense I’m addressing Ladder, though I should have made that more clear. You can’t ban decks on ladder and even if Rogue was the most widely played class (would have to check but I think it actually is), even then most matches won’t be against it, meaning you give up a lot by having Valanar in the deck instead of Spellbreaker.

You can sacrifice some burst potential against Druid by cutting Mind Blast or just remove the worst card in your deck (Auchenai).
Tempo Rogue Deck List Guide - Witchwood - May 2018
The only version that can be considered “better” is the one with elementals, which performs better in the mirror match but worse versus Priest. Depending on which one you see more, you should adapt. The “corpsetaker version” is experimental and does not have enough different matchups to justify considering it a separate deck. Just stick to this one and you will hit Legend in no time.

Is that why it’s currently the deck with the highest win rate on every platform that tracks stats? Or the major talking point of HCT, said to be the best deck in the meta right now by every pro player?
Tempo Rogue Deck List Guide - Witchwood - May 2018
That’s not even close to the truth. The deck is strong even without Keleseth.

Thanks for the input, I’ll make sure to update the guide to address the alternative options.

We play Inventor because we need pretty much every card that draws other cards. You can cut Auchenai for Elise if yo ureally want to.
Tempo Rogue Deck List Guide - Witchwood - May 2018
Shaku and Xaril are cool but not “core” to the deck. Captain is, though if you cut Patches there is not a very big reason to play the Captains, but keeping in mind you will be taking a huge power level downgrade. If you want to play Rogue ever, just craft the Vilespines. Best investment in the class you could possibly make.
How-to Beat & Counter Tempo Rogue - The Anti-Deck Guide
I just have to disagree with the presented list. Prince Valanar in particular makes no sense in an aggro/tempo-style deck. He is pure value and not that much of it, either. It does improve the mirror by a large margin, but against other aggressive decks that fight for the board you should be winning anyway and not having Spellbreaker is a huge downside in pretty much everything outside the mirror match… sometimes it can even hurt that.
Miracle Rogue Deck List Guide - Boomsday - August 2018
Questing Adventurer and Vanish don’t go really well together. I think it would fit a lot better in a Miracle version without Valeera that wants to be as fast as possible and blow people out with tempo plays. Then it’s a spectacular card, but not in this deck.
One of you guys gets what this game is all about and it’s not the one who thinks Hunter won’t play Kathrena.
