Arcane Giant
Might be worth contemplating swapping out Edwin VanCleef for this guy maybe **if** Silence cards make a big comeback – but it’s not really a game-changer for Miracle Rogue in itself.
Tavern Brawl - Storming Stormwind
Anything with Kel’Thuzad and Taunt creatures – the AI doesn’t cope well with that combo. Priest is pretty good; Mass Dispel turns a scary looking board into nothing more than a load of harmless 0/1s and 1/1s which limits it’s ability to play cards (don’t kill the 0/1s) … until he drops Stormwind Champion anyway. It can buy you enough time to get Kel’Thuzad and an Annoy-o-tron on the board.
Then it’s just a matter of seeing *how* much damage you can clock up before Kel’Thuzad gets hit with silence.
Tavern Brawl - Storming Stormwind
Rejuggled and went for a cheesy Priest with Kel’Thuzad and some taunts and nutty stuff like Flying Machine with Power Word Tentacles and Inner Fire. Managed to deal 884 damage before Kel’Thuzad was silenced.

AI still can’t cope with Kel’Thuzad + Taunts; got to 225 damage on it before “Enter the Coliseum” wiped Kel’Thuzad (had some pretty massive totems with Thunder Bluff Valiant).
Protect the King!
… with Bolster, that’d also cover Patron warrior, Rafaam (Mirror of Doom) and Token Druid.
Protect the King!
The problem with having “all your eggs in one basket” like that is that a single hard removal spell effectively destroys that minion and all your buff cards. Warrior gets away with it because of Charge; Priest – not so much. I’ve only seen that play work with really cheap, high health cards like Lightwell, played early (or Lorewalker Cho – that’s pretty horrible as you get lumbered with a handful of Divine Spirits you daren’t cast).
Protect the King + a single bolster however gives you a 3/3 Taunt for every enemy minion for 5 mana cost. That means on turn 10 you could combo this with Leeroy Jenkins. Or that 5 mana totally counter’s the 10 cost Rafaan Mummy Zombies card.
This isn’t a bad card, slightly situational (like Unleash the hounds) but not bad.
Tavern Brawl - Idols of Azeroth
I went for Mage hoping to be able to build an epic Mana Wurm but never got one from the Raven Idol (yeah, I know the odds were against it, especially as it was using the Wild set). Still won though… Mage is always good with random nonsense.
Sjow's C'Thun Control Warrior (June 2016, Season 27)
Elise is also a strong drop on turn 4 (3 on the coin), especially against weeny decks like Zoo, and the only downside is that playing her tends to make your opponent go aggressive in an attempt to kill you before you can get the Golden Monkey which might not suit the control play-style … however most opponents go all out aggro as soon as they realise you’re running a C’Thun deck anyway.
This isn’t hugely different to the C’Thun Warrior deck I’ve been running for a few weeks now; though I prefer having a Doomcaller. Getting a turn 10 C’Thun for board clear and then getting it back in your deck for a finisher later on is priceless… not reliable against Mage (Polymorph) or Priest though.
Giant Sand Worm
I can’t believe I actually managed to pull it off – vs a Druid.
Lots of tit for tat minion fights for board control and I’ve got a Cult Master and a Giant Sand Worm on the board, the Druid has a buffed 2/6 Violet Teacher. He casts a few spells including a Mark of Y’Saarj and Soul of the Forest to give him 4 apprentices all with deathrattle summon a 2/2 Treant – but all with summoning sickness.
… and I have Bestial Wrath in my hand.

Update: Necronlord's Season 26 C'Thun Shadow Priest (Standard)
I’ve suspected, for a while, that C’Thun priest would eventually be made into one of the stronger C’Thun decks just because of the amount of board control you can have with a Priest … I hadn’t even considered Shadowform – and I’m a little bit scared now O_o
Hearthstone Legendary Crafting Guide for Standard
Poor old King Krush – since I packed him the other day I’ll just have to play him meaninglessly then ๐
He’s not bad in my Beastmaster deck and fills a similar sort of role to Ragnaros the Firelord; a big 8/8 body that has to be dealt with – though he’s a more reliable finisher than Ragnaros as the charge attack is directed rather than random.
Tavern Brawl Unite Against Mechazod!
Of 4 goes last night teamed up with a random player we beat it twice – I’m better with the pally than the priest though; part of it comes down to buffing the priest’s minions rather than your own – double the attack on The Beast and give it divine shield for instance – but the greater part of it is just blind luck in how you, your partner *and* Mechazod draw cards.
Tavern Brawl - Top 2 - Deck Ideas!
I did it with Mana Wyrm + Unstable Portal; best moment was getting Bolf Ramshield from a portal against a Priest using Mind Blast + Holy Smite ๐
Big Game Hunter
The increased mana cost, in a really weird way, is slightly beneficial in a Shaman deck with Evolve or Master of Evolution – from turn 6 you can drop BGH, kill a 7 attack minion and immediately evolve it into a 6 cost minion. Sylvanus Windrunner if you’re lucky (or Emperor Thaurissan or Cairne Bloodhoof … ).
Shifter Zerus
Just had this little guy transform into Ragnaros Lightlord when playing against a Paladin… Trololololol lol lol – so worth it just for that.
Evolve
Though having said that – it’s rather good with Silver Hand Knight; there are a quite a few good 6-drop Legendaries.
Flamewreathed Faceless
Great on paper – however the odds on it surviving long enough to actually be used seem to be quite slim; in essence this card basically forces your opponent to use some hard removal or big damage spell and overloads you for two.
When it survives it’s great, it can be a game winner – but as often as not you’re better off with a Fireguard Destroyer strangely.
Does battlecry take effect before the card hits the board or after? If you had an Addled Grizzly out would this clone the original Grizzly first and therefore gain +2 / +2 ?
Mind, even Dire Wolf Alpha would be a decent target.
