Tavern Brawl - Blackrock Crash Week 1
I didn’t get Edwin but tempo rogue is still quick ‘n’ easy, yup.
Saviors of Uldum AMA with Developers - All Answers & Summary
SoU … I’m getting old, I immediately read that as Shadows of Undrentide.
Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron
No but it can, presumably, just cast Myra’s unstable element as the first spell instead and mill out the second copy π
Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron
I wouldn’t be so sure – Vargoth’s text reads: “At the end of your turn, cast a spell **you’ve** cast this turn (targets are random).” – so it depends on who counts as the caster for the 10 random spells; you or Yogg’s puzzle box – if it’s the puzzle box then that’s the only spell *you* cast this turn so Vargoth will replay it.
High Inquisitor Whitemane
I guess it could give a pretty big swing after a Doomsayer detonation…
SI:7 Infiltrator
I’d argue Eater of Secrets is worse; there are only 3 classes that regularly run secrets so in most games Eater of Secrets was a 4 mana 2/4 – which is complete trash.
At least this has a reasonable stat-line so it’s not a dead-loss against decks that don’t run secrets. I’d still run Kezan Mystic in Wild though.
Tavern Brawl - Brawl Block: Gods, Gadgetzan, Gurubashi
I did something similar – no War Bears or Yogg but a couple of Lunar Visions for card draw.
Brian Kibler's ThatWasUnexpected Post-Buff
I ran into someone using this while I was mucking about with a Maly Shaman in casual last night … I’ll admit, I wasn’t expecting it.
Mech Combo Priest - Shadows Post-Buff - #64 Legend (matsup)
Looks like a standard “Inner Fire” combo – e.g. get a minion on board with a tonne of health and hope it survives a turn. Then just Divine Spirit > Divine Spirit > Inner Fire > (Mass Dispel if needed) > Go Face
INSANE New Turn 5 OTK feat. Sn1p Sn4p
I _think_ the combo will have 2 problems – firstly it relies on a Legendary so if that’s right near the bottom of the deck, you’re screwed. This particular deck attempts to mitigate that in the same way old skool Malygos Miracle Rogue used to… lots and LOTS of card draw.
However, unlike Malygos, you’ve got to push a minion through to face with this and because of Reckless Experimenter, you’ve got to do it immediately – which means any kind of Taunt wall is going to scupper you.
There are a couple of advantages a Priest OTK combo deck based on Sn1p-Sn4p might have over Maly Rogue though; Priests are generally much better at the control game so surviving to get the combo and clear the Taunts might be easier and there’s no hard-counter here (Skulking Geist basically killed Maly Rogue) – the closest you’d get now would be getting unlucky to Hecklebot with it pulling Sn1p-Sn4p.
So I think there’s potential but it’ll not be too oppressive.
Just my tuppence worth, I’ll probably be proved completely wrong and it’ll either be unbelievably awesome or complete trash π
INSANE New Turn 5 OTK feat. Sn1p Sn4p
“itβs 6 arbitrarily large mechs from just a two card combo” … which die at the end of the turn leaving the Reckless Experimenter and 6x 1/1 mechs π
You *need* a mech on the board to at the start of the turn to effectively make an infinitely large (time permitting) charge creature – since Coppertail Imposter has stealth it’s quite likley to survive until T5 insta-kill.
Rise of Shadows Post-Nerf Decks - Hearthstone Pro & Streamer Deck Lists For All Classes
Oddly, I was so convinced Elysiana would be nerfed that I actually crafted it a few weeks ago to play about with… *phew*
Rise of the Mechs Event - New Legendary Card, 18 Class Cards Buffed, Goes Live June 3
Technically doesn’t the cost reduction also mean Hoppers will synergise with the Magic Carpet now? So you could be dropping giant minions with Rush…
I don’t think that’ll be enough to make it viable still – Rogue doesn’t do Control well – but it does mean you can use those Hoppers right away to fight for board control before bouncing them back to your hand.
Rise of the Mechs Event - New Legendary Card, 18 Class Cards Buffed, Goes Live June 3
True – but class legendaries are always stronger than their neutral counterparts and Rivendare still has 1 more health; you’d *mostly* be hoping to use those cards for their abilities so attack strength is less important than health.
If Hunter had a Deathrattle weapon available, however, the subtle difference in wording might make Necromechanic way more powerful, relative to Rivendare.
Dreamgrove Ring
Warning – Legendary Minions can be bad (or situational) as well as good π
Last time I used this I got Bloodmage Thalnos (good but not in this instance), Lorewalker Cho (situational) and something else that was actually terrible…
Zayle, Shadow Cloak Deck Lists - What Are The "EVIL Decks"? (Year of the Phoenix Update)
With the exception of Priest, these are some seriously Legendary-heavy decks… which sort of makes Zayle an even better card for F2P players, worth saving up the 2800 gold to buy the single-player content maybe; you get to mess around with cards you might not have in your collection.
… actually, there are 5 legendaries in these decks that I don’t have and I do generally buy the big pre-order packs when a new expansion comes out (though I’ve almost enough dust to craft 10 Legendaries atm).
Hearthstone Legendaries You Can "Safely" Disenchant - Ashes of Outland - May 2020
The introduction of Lackeys actually makes Glinda Crowskin probably better than she’s ever been; lackeys’ battlecries are quite powerful for 1-cost cards so they’re good with echo.
Still safe to disenchant Glinda, yes, but she *is* fun in Zoolock with lackeys – especially if, by some miracle, you manage to have Glinda and a Magic Carpet on the board at the start of a turn…
Tavern Brawl - Showdown at Blackrock Mountain
… unless you draw both Core Hound Puppies early (I had them both on-board by turn 4), then it’s pretty much game over for Nerfarian unless they get an Electron -> Shadowflame combo.
Heheh – my first try clocked in at 14+ hours … seems the timer doesn’t stop if you go to bed π
