Colossus of the Moon
It doesn’t happen often, but when this guy appears as a choice from Zarog’s Crown… it’s worth of an EVIL laugh.
“Who the king? I THE KING!”
Quest Druid Theorycraft Deck List โ Saviors of Uldum โ August 2019
I’d say Cenarius isn’t necessary – but Loti is. Floop’s definitely handy with Loti, Oasis Surger or Tending Tauren (or Cenarius if you *do* include him).
Personally, I’m running with a little more in the early game toolkit; Acornbearer and Dreamway Guardians are both must-haves in token Druid but they’re also both decent early drops to stop you falling too far behind in the early game with this deck. Neither are completely terrible late-game either because they can give you extra bodies to drop with Power of the Wild or Tending Tauren – especially since the Dryads have Lifesteal.
Wasteland Scorpid
Maexxna was rarely played, so Maexxna with +1/+1 for 1 more mana won’t be played either.
At a push, in Hunter, you _could_ play Maexxna and Houndmaster on the same turn… Wasteland Scorpid doesn’t even have that going for it ๐
Quicksand Elemental
This should be pretty handy in Zoolock, since that’s all about favourable trades and board floods – I was running a single Curse of Weakness and it was actually pretty good.
On the plus-side, compared to Curse of Weakness, this has a decent body attached … downside, no echo so you can’t pull bigger stuff down to zero attack and trade.
Garden Gnome
I honestly don’t care whether this card is playable or not – garden gnome with the cutest lil treants! Favourite card of the set.
Bazaar Burglary
Depending on your deck, it’s possible to get cards that are *worse* than worthless – I was experimenting with an OTK Mecha’thun Rogue deck with a couple of “burgle-like” cards – until I got Immortal Prelate, which prevents Mecha’thun’s battlecry from working completely.
… or the game against a Warlock where each Blink Fox gave me Void Contract.
Burgle was a terrible idea in that deck ๐
Khartut Defender
It’s a Sunwalker, with worse stats, that heals you for 6 … unless it silenced.
This getting silenced hurts you more than Sunwalker getting silenced and the more heavily loaded with keywords minions become (or the more common magnetic mechs/enchantments are) the more powerful, relatively speaking, silence effects become… so all these keyword heavy minions are incrementally tiny buffs to Silence Priest.
Pharaoh's Blessing
Not quite as good as Spikeridged Steed maybe, but this does offer the same discount on Shirvallah and adds some survivability if a more control-oriented paladin were to become a thing.
High Priest Amet
I *think* it depends on the order in which the Amets hit the board – the original Amet should trigger first, then the copy; IIRC Sylvanas vs Sylvanas has a similar consideration.
Plague of Wrath
Normally you’d say “X effect on a stick is better” but with regards to Mosh, yup, much better to take the stick away.
Saviors of Uldum Card Reviews #3 - Riftcleaver, Hunter's Pack, Tip the Scales, Anka, Arcane Flakmage, Hooked Scimitar, Tortollan Pilgrim, Mogu Cultist And More!
When a card is reborn, it comes back with one health remaining … which I presume counts as “damaged” with regards to Bloodsworn Mercenary? So there’s some potential for Rush decks with Restless Mummy maybe… and we’ve only seen a couple of Reborn cards so far.
Darius Crowley could actually be pretty good as well – but you’d generally want to play him on curve and hope he survives; turn 8 would be too late.
Splitting Axe
With every expansion there’s always 1 epic I pack over and over again – I think I’ve just discovered which it will be this time around…
Splitting Axe
That deck also had support from Tunnel Trog and Totem Golem giving one of the most oppressive openers in HS history ๐
Salhet's Pride
I never said it wasn’t playable – or even that it wasn’t good… I actually think that on its own, or in a different deck, Salhet’s Pride looks like a fairly decent card. I’m just not seeing it in either Shirvallah OTK or (Wild) Four Horsemen OTK Paladin decks because Crystology performs the same role – only much better.
Salhet's Pride
Novice Engineer, Thalnos and Elven Archer are all played because they only have 1 attack – you can pull them with Crystology. In a combo deck, this is just not as good as Crystology, it costs 2 more and can be silenced.
However, I can see it in a more aggro or Divine Shield oriented deck – Sandwasp Queen, Argent Squire, Scarlet Crusader (maybe) and Giggling Inventor with Autodefence Matrix and Never Surrender.
Plague of Murlocs
Hmmm … Wild Lackey/flood Everyfin’ deck incoming.
If you can flood the board you’ve got: Plague of Murlocs -> Chain Lightning -> Everyfin’ is Awesome (costs 0 with a full board) – should be feasible to do that on a single turn.
“If they nerf Zephrys, I say we riot.”
– I dunno, I find him incredibly frustrating to play against… then again, I could just craft him I suppose; he would fit reasonably well into the daft Rogue decks I’ve been playing lately (3 decks, all based around empty deck hijinks).
