Shop Update: Standard Pack Bundles, Battlegrounds Season 2 Pass, New Constructed Skins (Update: And More BG Skins)
Thank you. I’m not happy about it either. Not even the battle pass itself, in my opinion that’s okay if it only had cosmetics. The problem is that they paywalled the 4 hero picks. I really hate that. But the only way I would see Team 5 changing it is either people quitting BG in masses or nearly no one buying the new season pass… and I don’t think that’s going to happen, sadly.

Yeah, I usually just delete those kinds of comments, but this person keeps commenting super negative stuff all the time and I really wanted to reply.
Also, thank you 🙂
Hearthstone Patch 24.2 Is Now Live - Battlegrounds Season 2 and 4 Heroes changes, Runestones, In-Game Reporting And More!
Well, if you want to get technical, “Battlegrounds Perks” no longer exist, all of the perks are available for free, except 4 hero picks instead of 2, which are a part of a Season Pass. But it’s a new item, you can no longer buy Battlegrounds Perks at all.
But yes, 4 hero picks instead of 2 is the only exception to the “you can still buy everything you could with gold”, but it’s also explicitly stated in the post.

Why do you even keep commenting if that’s the only thing you have to say? We post everything about the game – the good, the bad, the neutral. You can’t ignore, for example, me saying that Runestones are a terrible idea and I don’t like it and then complain that I write about something else and say that I’m paid by Blizzard. I posted those shop updated for like 2 years already and I will keep posting them because at least a part of our viewers are interested in new cosmetics/bundles/whatever.
I feel like you should just quit Hearthstone because it doesn’t sound like you have a healthy relationship with the game.
Hearthstone Gets A New Premium Currency Called "Runestones" - What Are They, How to Get Them (Updated)
I don’t think that those “it’s cheaper by a few cents” is a big problem. It’s stupid, but people probably wouldn’t buy a smaller bundle many times to save for a single candy. But it is much worse in the UK.
You can save over 6 pounds by buying 16x 500 Runestones bundle as opposed to 1x 8000 Runestones. It’s crazy.

Hearthstone Duels in 2022: Is It Worth Another Try?
We don’t block people from Iran for political reasons if that’s what you’re suggesting. Our parent company has decided to block users from a few select countries because otherwise the company would have to adjust to some local laws, which would cost them some money. And given that our traffic from those countries is small, it just wasn’t worth adjusting for the very small revenue they would get. I’m really sorry about that. I would, of course, prefer the site to be available in every country, but it’s strictly a financial decision and it’s not up to me. I’m glad that you still found a way around it, though.

Right, Blizzard updated the blog post for playoffs so I changed it here too 🙂

No idea yet, Blizzard never really officially talks about Amazon Coins, so it’s hard to say.
But given that Runestones can be purchased in-game, I think that you will still be able to buy them using Amazon Coins.
How Pay-to-Win Is Hearthstone Battlegrounds Now? The Past and Future of BG Monetization
You’re right, 10 Gold per 3 wins was also obtainable in Battlegrounds. However, given how long the average BG match is, that extra Gold was negligible. If you were an average player (50% WR) and played 4 Battlegrounds matches per day, you only got ~6.6 Gold per day on average. That’s ~200g per month.
(Still, it might be worth mentioning in the article.)
Battlegrounds Patch 24.2 Minions, Heroes & Quests Reveals (Updated)
I’ll copy it from the article:
“Some pairings will get adjusted depending on the difficulty – more powerful rewards might have higher Quest requirements, and vice versa.”
Battlegrounds Patch 24.2 Minions, Heroes & Quests Reveals (Updated)
Probably yes, I suspect that those extra mechanics like Darkmoon Prizes, Buddies and now Quests will be rotated in and out from time to time.
Will Hearthstone Get a New Class and Why Is It Death Knight?
I’ve seen a lot of ideas for DK Hero Power, for example:
– Deal 1 damage to a minion, restore 1 health to your Hero.
– Summon a 1/1 Ghoul with Rush that dies at the end of your turn.
– Something related to Reborn mechanic, e.g. “Give a friendly minion Reborn. Destroy it at the end of your turn.”
But it honestly all depends on what kind of in-game mechanics they will tie DK with. Maybe they will have to make something that synergizes with his toolkit, so without knowing it we can just guess.
XL Denathrius Ramp Druid - #6 Legend (Lunaloveee) - Castle Nathria
You can try to snipe your opponent’s key card with it, or return your own Theotar / Denathrius to hand. It’s really great with Denathrius because it keeps all the damage you already stacked. So you for example play him as a board clear + heal one turn and then still have him as a win condition.
But Luna experiments a lot with card choices so it might not be the best. You can definitely cut it.

Yep, I got mine too! Around 48h after watching the stream, so it checks out.

I watched like 5h yesterday and also didn’t get any rewards yet. I’ve seen some other people reporting it too. I’ve heard that YT drops might take up to 48h to arrive, so if I won’t get anything tomorrow I’ll let the devs know.
Another Legendary Hearthstone Quest Released - "Scene of a Murder" - Get A Free Castle Nathria Pack
According to the latest ActiBlizzard financial report, Hearthstone has actually grown year over year. So while it’s definitely not as popular as during its heyday, I don’t think that the situation is dire at all.
(Live Now) 24.0.3 Hearthstone Patch Notes - 5 Nerfs & 22 Buffs in Constructed, Battlegrounds Balance Changes, Duels Updates
Well, we have 5 nerfs, which resulted in 8 cards in total getting nerfed. Both are correct IMO. But it doesn’t really matter because everyone knows what’s up after seeing the list.
(Update) Some Of The Upcoming Balance Changes Got Revealed - Nerfs for Warlock, Hunter, Shaman, Druid; Buffs for DH, Rogue, Paladin and Warrior
Big Priest is definitely more popular and I see why people want to get it nerfed (if they pull off an early Neptulon it’s often instant game over), but the deck is significantly weaker in terms of win rate than DR Rogue. DR Rogue is cool 4-5% WR above Big Priest. I think that’s why they focused on DR Rogue but ignored Big Priest (at least as far as we know, since not every change was revealed).
(Update) Some Of The Upcoming Balance Changes Got Revealed - Nerfs for Warlock, Hunter, Shaman, Druid; Buffs for DH, Rogue, Paladin and Warrior
I think it makes sense, because no, the decks you listed aren’t more powerful than DR Rogue. Looking at the early stats, it’s a clear #1 deck in Wild so far this expansion and a power outlier. Blizzard has much more internal stats, so they probably see that it’s e.g. 2% WR above all other decks (I’m guessing here), that’s why they’ve decided to nerf it so quickly. They normally don’t react to what’s happening in Wild format, so there must have been a good reason.
But yes, I would like to see them make a few more Wild changes to other powerful/unfun archetypes – not massive ones necessarily, but a couple of small nerfs here and there could keep the format more balanced.
By small, I meant that it’s not going to be one of the “major” content patches (X.2, X.4 etc.), which are generally announced at least a few days before their release. I suspect that we’ll see a lot of balance changes, I would be surprised if there were less than 8-10 card nerfs/buffs. Plus probably some bug fixes.
