Baited Arrow
Card is just good tempo. 5 mana 5/5 beast, deal 2 damage to a minion. Hunter can make it work. I have no doubt about that. (Board presence, Candleshot, Hunter’s Mark, pre-damaged from Rexxar etc.)
Nice addition to Spell Hunter, which plays Explosive Trap, Wandering Monster. And it goes face. This card could bring back good old Midrange Hunter (has been weak in the 5-spot forever) in tempo fashion.
I’ll try it and I like it. Underrated!

Springpaw
I’ll go with the “you need both to kill 1 Firefly” line. 1.5/5 in constructed.
Void Contract
Unfortunately, we have neither Tournament mode, nor sideboarding in HS. I hope we’ll get a viable neutral combo breaker this expansion and rate this card 1 out of 5.
Immortal Prelate
Yeaaaaahh. Slow Paladin could be a pain in the *** for proactive decks. Do you outclass Odd Warrior with it? It plays 2 Owls, 2 MCT, 2 Shield Slam, 2 Brawl, 2 Flurry. Without another win-con I doubt it. Maybe together with the clunky Uther package? Playable, but overall not better than Odd Warrior, for now.

Surrender to Madness
The first trash tier card of the expansion has to be a Priest card. We don’t expect less. Thanks.
Hir'eek, the Bat
I don’t know. Many say this card is bad. I could see it in Zoo, little bit depending on the metagame.
It’s a one of, so I think you can afford to play it. Sometimes it’s just discarded. With Keleseth it’s 7 2/2’s. With Soul Infusion it’s insane.
I’ll guess this card will see play here and there, and similar to Myras Unstable Evolution in Odd Rogue, when Boomsday was released, some will say you have to play it, and the others say you can’t run it.
In the end, I think this card is Meta-dependent for Zoolock.
Spirit of the Bat
Spirit of the Bat will not change the game for Zoolock. Even without Keleseth, the Heal-Zoolock shell is faster and better than some kind of Token-Handbuff-Midrange-Lock.
Shirvallah, the Tiger
I don’t think this card is great. 1 EQ, 1 Cons, 1 Spikeridged steed down, and this card still sits dead in your hand? This card is very, very bad when drawn early, and doesn’t win Control matchups to make up for that flaw.

Sharkfin Fan
Agree. (Good) 2 drop consistency has been the main weakness for the deck. Maybe Blizzard is pushing Even Pirate Rogue. Very interesing stuff, indeed ๐
Sul'thraze
Hi everyone!
I saw Kripp speaking about this card, and I think he’s right. He said, this card is 6 mana deal 16 damage (over 4 turns, of course). Add in Heroic Strike and other weapon Buffs and you one shot one or two taunts with it and still go face for at least 8 in the same turn. So it’s basically a much better Arcanite Reaper in a deck like Pirate Warrior and I’ll guess if it doesn’t shine right away, its time will come.
4,5/5, somewhere down the line.
Is a Combo Meta Good for the Game?
@blizzard
I’d like to have reliable combo disruption for every class.
When you are at it, could you please reprint coldlight oracle for warriors only? (DMH)
Thank me later, kappa.
Standout Boomsday Project Decks From Up To Day 3
Thanks for the update ๐
The secret hunter list looks really interesting.
Yesterday, I saw Asmodai playing the Tempo Shudderwock. It worked for him playing between Rank 200-300, especially against druid. Thrall and Unstable Evolution did a great job, Thrall on early boards, Unstable in general. Giggling Inventor works so nice with it, that I think we might see this “Combo” quite often.
Mill Druid - Forest Guide - Standard - early Version
Maybe Big Game Hunter, because big minions are a bit of a problem for the deck.
Boomsday Boom-zooka Recruit Hunter
Ah ok, makes sense! I just like getting ideas from theorycrafts before a new expansion hits. This deck might not be completely viable, but a lot of fun!
And the longer I think about Secret Plan the more I like it. As you said, most traps tend to be good in some matchups, weak in others. The card makes more and more sense to me.
Boomsday Boom-zooka Recruit Hunter
Hey there!
Most of your card choices make sense to me for this heavy midrange recruit deck. But I can’t agree with your secret package. You want to stall out the first few turns until Spellstone and your other threats come into play. Therefore Venomstrike abd Snaketrap can’t work in this deck efficiently. Has to be Explosive and Freezing trap.
Dog's Mecha'thun Fatigue Druid - Boomsday Theorycraft
I like the idea of an Oaken Summons/Forest Guide package. It comes into play sooner than later in Druid and is hard to kill with 1/6 stats. Oaken thins your deck, Forest guide draws cards. So it should be a big boost for the gameplan. If you are unlucky and draw the guides first, oaken summons doesn’t matter too much sitting in your hand, because you can always play it as a gain six armor spell, despite a minion, which you’ll have to trade in before Mecha’Thun.
Therefore I also agree with you on adding Floop to the deck, which can also (potentially) copy the guide. Auctioneer is the better target, though.
The card draw consistency of the deck is insane. It won’t ever be a problem to go through your deck. The problem will be: Do you get away without taunts=stall (spreading plague/maybe giggling inventor/maybe abomination which I’m leaning towards) and even more questionable: won’t the meta be full of skulking geists?
Bomb Toss
If I was the opponent my answer to a single goblin bomb would be to kill it, probably. Things get a bit more interesting with the hunter legendary minion = 4 bombs. That card has more potential to work that way.
I’D definitely play the spell damage cat over this in Odd Mage…
