The Lazy Adventures of Rikkar - What Went Wrong With Rumble Run?
While I don’t mind repeating Dungeon Run formula (still enjoying that madness so much), my feelings about Rumble Run are really mixed. Unexpected letdown. Of all remarks, the worst thing about this Run are bundles – small pool of unrelated boring cards. It would be so cool if they rebalance and tweak some of objections noted in the article. Hard to believe they will do that, but even without too much effort they would still be able to make Rumble run much more appealing experience.
Upcoming Rastakhan's Rumble Nerfs (December 19th): Wild Growth, Nourish, Level Up, Saronite Chain Gang and Leeching Poison
And by ‘shaking up the meta’ barely anything new will emerge, while old unremoved stuff that survived will continue to dominate.
Rumble Run Best Shrines and Strategies
What are the worst shrines and is it possible to win with them?
Rumble Run Guide - Shrines List, Passives, Teammates, Tips & Tricks
The worst healing class right now is… Priest, haha. It’s all messed up.
I think Druid armor gain is broken by Ferocious Howl. Their intention was probably to give Druids some armor card for the new standard year. The problem is when it’s combined with old armor cards like Branching Paths, Oaken Summons (armor, minion, spellstone) and DK hero power. Howl, the strongest of them all, was released way to early.
Currently without armor and plague, Druid wouldn’t stand a chance. But 18 additional armor and 2 card draw from Howl is really to much, game breaking.
Rastakhan's Recruit Hunter ft. Zul'jin & Oondasta (BoarControl)
Hate Tracking, I will put something else instead like… other big bois?! Tracking is redundant in decks which run Stitched Trackers already, plus Zul’jin would destroy you. Stitched Trackers will certainly get you copies of those beasts, but what about some more of them like Devilsaur (he can’t screw the consistency). Remember, there’s no Cube here, more value is needed, I guess… or Rexxar is enough?! Maybe even Lich King like in the old Recruit Hunter.
Midrange Beast Hunter Theorycraft - Untamed Beastmaster
Deathstalker Rexxar is your secondary win condition. You’ll get Rhino from him eventually. 🙂 Rhino on his own is too slow for what the deck wants to acomplish.
Rastakhan’s Rumble Pirate Rogue: The Past and Future of the Archetype
I hoped for even slower Pirate rouge, but we didn’t get any big pirates and Cpt. Hooktusk isn’t Kathrena. Oh, well…
I like all 3 Pirate rouge proposals. The aggro one would probably need some more removal.
For the current meta I also think that tempo Pirate rouge has the best chance to succeed. And mainly because of Keleseth and Faldorei, old staples.
Dread Corsair – Amalgam dilemma is tough one; I want them both. Healock has 2 taunt cards to protect the board gains, some Odd rouges usually run at least one Tar Creeper which directly wins some games… I will not even talk about slower decks. I have a feeling we need something – and I am quite sure Zilliax will find his spot even in this deck. :)))
The biggest anticipation is what will happen with – Ticket Scalper. Will that card succeed? Will there be some kind of deck to shuffle it back to the deck with Lab Recruiter?
And do you think some kind of tempo Pirate Kingsbane can be a thing?
Shieldbreaker
Even Warlock wants to silence other stuff, not only taunts, I guess.
This can see play only in some even “aggro-tempo” mess.
Headhunter's Hatchet
It should have been: Gain 1 durability whenever you play a beast.
Zul'jin
Dire Frenzy and Master’s Call?
This card refills and clears the board, plus puts secrets to protect the face. Maybe anti secret, Police Inspector, guy will see play now.
One will need to play a lot of set up cards to not lose the tempo after paying 10 mana. Timeing is important. Would like some card to boost the hero power.
Vanish and Flamestrike will be great counters.
That 2-4 discover a spell card can be usefuful to find a spell you wouldn’t want to carry and play before Zul’jin.
To much how this is only for Spell Hunter. Actually, it can be used in secret, midrange, controlish, heck… even in aggro.
The hero power is logically not op, but because of it this needed to be legendary spell, not the hero card.
Bloodsail Howler
Because they have no clue what they are doing. Any good card from this exp is a pure coincidence.
Crowd Roaster
Another strange design. This will see play only if other options would be more terrible.
Basically, slow card, 7 mana, deal 7 ‘overkill’ damage to a minion and provoke removal. Namely amount of stats and the effect are very good for the mana cost, but an insane drawback with the health statline keeps it away from putting all that body to good use – trading twice.
And you can’t kill giants, LK… 8 drops… real treats, without ping. It kills Mossy, Oasis Snapjaw, Genn, Cube, Devilsaur, Geist, some new minions, like Oondasta… Dies to BGH. Often, it will deal more dmg than needed.
To bad this doesn’t get overkill effect.
Masked Contender
Trump, unfortunately, discovered it doesn’t activate the spellstone. :(((
The card is conditional. You already need a secret in play. Plus, 2-4 is okayish for mana cost, but this doesn’t trade well with average 3-mana minions.
Saronite Taskmaster
Notice, this Chow 2.0 guy can disrupt some decks with an unwanted summon.
Gurubashi Hypemon
Are you serious? To waste the combo and a Rouge as a class to get something random and inconsistent post turn 7. Are you aware it discovers a battlecry minion among more than 160 of them? Stats are alright? 7 mana 12 of stats.
A New Challenger...
I checked 6 mana Paladin and Neutral minions and there is a lot of good stuff. It’s more valuable to play this then any 7 drop taunt(?) minion on its own. The question is does Paladin need 7 drop Divine Shield Taunt?
The Spellstone is total bs, but Blizzard is the one who unnecessarily brought us this “Hunterstone” situation. They purposely nerfed some stuff in order to something obvious happen – Hunter’s dominance. If it wasn’t their aim, then they are clueless anyway. Now it wouldn’t be fair to destroy some iconic cards just before the rotation which would lead to the destruction of some viable Hunter archetypes in Wild. Blizzard is surprising us more and more and therefore I believe we will get 2nd nerfs (in package with Big Priest), after people spend enough dust on these Hunter’s traps.
