Completely agree. Blizzard is not a charity, so either spend some money on occasion or be grateful you can play without the outlay of cash in exchange for your effort/time. Why do we have to assume evil intent from Blizzard if it wants to recoup its costs and make it profitable besides? Being capitalistic allows Blizzard to pay their employees and stockholders as well as invest in R&D.

Experiencing lag is not necessarily indicative of a problem on your side or the server. It’s possible the person you are playing against has issues. Regardless, Hearthstone is likely growing, so they may need to update infrastructure from time to time, but that’s not an indication the product is not being supported. They are putting out new releases three times per year and (for the most part) without hiccups. They continue to enhance the core product, and they are expanding the eSports. What additional support are you looking for?
Hearthstone Epic Crafting Guide (Standard) - Scholomance Academy - September 2020
Yeps. On the plus side, I got a lot of dust for the pair of them. ?

…and Corridor Creeper went from Best to not even on the list in one nerf.
How to Avoid Tilting and Ladder Anxiety in Hearthstone
…and be grateful some of the designs that M:tG has/had (I haven’t played in a very long time) do not exist in HS. M:tG has/had land destruction (destroying an already rng-limited mana pool) and hand destruction (where you caused the opponent to discard). Anyone remember Mind Twist and Strip Mine? Ah, those were the days.
Hearthstone Competitive Ladder - Theorycrafting A New, Improved Ranked Format
Agreed. I’ve resisted grinding below rank 14 because it isn’t really worth the time and effort. These changes will probably make me reconsider that decision.
Hearthstone Competitive Ladder - Theorycrafting A New, Improved Ranked Format
Agreed. The rewards should be greater, but there should be a buy-in like normal tournaments. This solves a couple of problems:
(1) Blizzard gets to make a profit from the game. People complain about Blizzard being money grubbers, but let’s face it, if they don’t earn then the game goes away. If the rewards are better then why shouldn’t they charge for the privilege to complete, just like in-person tournaments always have been?
(2) Casual players will be less inclined to dilute the pool. This should make it so all players in this mode are more inclined to compete and not AFK as often. It also helps increase the skill level of the overall base.
I’d prefer the “season” to be from one set release to the next (so, three times per year). It would be interesting to add different formats from week-to-week or month-to-month to keep things interesting and really test player skills (e.g., best 2-of-3 Standard for January, best 2-of-3 with one deck ban Wild for February, etc.). This would really test player skillsets and reward people for not dusting their collection after every new year begins.
Just some thoughts. I like what you have here and really think a separate ladder is the best idea.
Tribal Decks in Hearthstone – A Fine Line Between Exciting and Boring
Jade and C’Thun are almost tribes unto themselves as well, due to their unique synergies.
Upcoming Balance Changes/Nerfs to Bonemare, Corridor Creeper, Patches the Pirate, and Raza the Chained!
Patches IS worthless without Charge, no doubt about it. Thinning a deck by one card is not valuable enough on its own.

No hero power should cost 0 AND be able to cycle over and over and over and over and….

I think I agree with the Patches nerf not being needed for Wild, but the Raza nerf was.

I could see Doomguard being ushered into the Hall of Fame. It wouldn’t really impact Wild, but it would impact Cubelock in Standard. For now, just pack lots of Silence and let’s see how it pans out.

I suppose, but what they did to it makes it pretty much worthless. I can see Hunter playing this MAYBE as a Beast target (but probably not, and it will definitely dilute the Discover for DK) or maybe Shaman as an Evolve target, but if you don’t get this in your opening hand, it will be worth a great deal less. I hope I’m wrong, but I doubt it.

I’d be OK with 2/5 if it had Taunt. Otherwise, he’s dust bait.
HotMEOWTH's #20 Legend Big Spell Mage (January 2018)
Baron Geddon is AMAZING once you’ve switched to DK Jaina. +2 health gain each turn for every other minion on the board +2 more for your opponent? Yes, please!

Dirty Rat is a counter to other decks (like Raza Priest) and isn’t vital to the overall playability of this deck. If you don’t have Dirty Rat then remember you are trying to protect yourself early so you can survive long enough to unleash (cheap taunt/armor gain/life gain). Acidic Swamp Ooze could also serve as an anti-meta card vs. Warlock while providing a 2-cost 3/2 body.
Lesser Amethyst Spellstone
Yeah, but every other card in Warlock that supports this is easy to get (only one epic that is desirable and a mess of commons and rares). This will make zoo playable and keep it cheap. You can play zoo without Gul’dan DK.
Hoarding Dragon
I’d look at playing this in a mill deck. Fill up their hand with junk (coins) and then mill their good cards. Since this fellow has a good body, he actually gives mill decks another way to chew into the opponent’s life points. Ideal? Maybe not, but I think it may be viable.
Part of Warrior’s problem is the axe nerf. That really hurt.
