Aggro Pirate Warrior Deck List Guide - Kobolds - February 2018
So this deck has no cards from KFT or Un’goro
Yeah…
Sindragosa
Gives a ton of value, and Mage has an easy time killing off their own 1 health minions.
Add in the Dragon and N’zoth synergy, and this could be bad.
8/10
Simulacrum
I’m pretty sure this card puts the minion in play, but what if it adds it to your hand?
Would be used in a completely different deck.
However, it should summon the minion, meaning you might be able to get some Archmage OPness going, or even a true no setup OTK.
Apprentice, Apprentice, Molten, Molten, this pulling Archmage, FIREBALLS
5/10 however, Exodia Mage never does that well
Ice Walker
Early game this doesn’t quite do enough.
Late game it is too easy to remove.
3/10
Glacial Mysteries
So keep in mind you hopefully already drew 2 secrets with arcanologists, plus you have an Ice block in play.
So now at best this will pull 2, maybe 3 secrets from your deck.
Mage secrets don’t normally work well together, and Eater of Secrets is a tech card.
This doesn’t do enough and is too easy to counter.
Maybe some deck could use it, but probably not.
3/10
Ghastly Conjurer
As someone who has been trying to get Quest Highlander Mage to work in Standard for a while now (hint: it doesn’t work), i can say this card is nice.
It can trade evenly or better with most minions early game (although it doesn’t have taunt). plus it gives nice cheap spells for Archmage/Yogg fodder
Overall a nice card, maybe quest Mage will use it
5/10
Frozen Clone
Rarely will you get a minion that you would want.
In standard.
Now in Wild, this could be amazing. Reno decks are quite popular, and you could get 2 Kazakuses (Kazaki?).
Overall depends how slow the meta is and how many strong battlecries there are.
4/10
Frost Lich Jaina
Really not seeing this card.
Doesn’t do enough versus aggro.
Unlike most the other DKs, she doesn’t do enough the turn she is played.
I would save your dust to get something else here, but maybe…
4/10
Doomed Apprentice
this could slow down an opponent’s massive auctioneer turn, which can be hurt by losing even 1 mana.
Should be good in a aggressive Mage deck.
6/10
Coldwraith
Wow just wow.
How does this have such a high rating?
How often as Mage do you have 3 mana left at the end of your turn and also have 3 mana to spare?
Freeze mage doesn’t want this, they don’t care about board and don’t have enough mana early to use this, plus can’t waste valuable freeze effects to draw.
2/10
Breath of Sindragosa
Nice card that can slow aggro down as well as stall something like Deathwing late game.
Also has nice synergy with Mana Wyrm.
6/10
Venomstrike Trap
So the trend of cheating out 3 cost minions as 2 cost Hunter Secrets continues.
This isn’t that good because it has to go off on your opponent’s turn, so they get to choose how to deal with it.
Also, aggro decks might not trade for a few turns, meaning this is way too slow.
4/10, just not seeing it.
Toxic Arrow
A nice versatile card that either lets you remove something weak or trade your mid power minion into something big.
The biggest problem with this card is Hunter’s tokens mostly have 1 or 2 health.
6/10
Stitched Tracker
Really helps a controly Hunter avoid running out of steam, which is always nice.
It can also do some really weird things (3 N’zoths anyone?)
Should see some play if Control Hunter is a thing.
6/10
Professor Putricide
Ok now that all the cards are out I can make a better review of this card.
My old review still covers this card pretty well, but there is 1 new Secret, which is a pretty bad one, so this card loses a little bit a value there.
Still a nice card, but unless the 5 secret cap is removed won’t break the game.
7/10
Play Dead
For 1 mana, this card can do anything.
It can draw a card (Bloodmage/Loot Hoarder)
It can summon tokens (Every single Hunter Deathrattle)
It can even clear a board (Exploding Bloatbat)
For 1 mana, it bring alot of versatility to to the table.
8/10. really nice design, and AWESOME artwork
Exploding Bloatbat
Play Dead, Bat.
On that note, other then that nice synergy, I feel like this is just a little bit too slow. Versus aggro it doesn’t do anything instantly, and control doesn’t mind a delayed consecrate.
It is a board clear in Hunter, so there is always that.
5/10
Corpse Widow
This card might be too strong, as it has the “answer me or lose” tag a few cards have had in the past. (Fandral, Avianna) You can also dump a few cheap deathrattles like Fiery Bat on the same turn as this, which could result in some nice swing turns.
Overall a really strong card that will let midrange Hunter be a massive threat,
9/10
Bearshark
Ok now that all the cards are out I can make a better review of this card.
Again, would be better as a 3/4, but no complaints.
Versus Mage or Rogue, this card could just cause them to lose almost immediately, especially if a Houndmaster is played right after. Doesn’t help too much vs warrior, or any aggressive deck really, but vs anything relying on spell removal, watch out.
7/10
So this deck runs C’thun and 2 ways to buff him
2
Meaning you have to play them both before your (single) shieldbearer works.
You made the mistake of trying to fit too much into 1 deck, which in this case almost makes it look like a Reno deck
Without Reno
