Today's Hearthstone 8th Birthday - The Game Was Released On March 11, 2014
I started playing around the undertaker nerf. My friends picked up magic again and i felt the same nostalgia but didnt wanna pour half a year worth of wages into a game. Played casually ftp till i hit rank six once and started preordering with kobolds and catacombs.
Hit legend first in march 2018 and most months since then. Since second rewards track i don’t prorder expansions anymore and just get tavernpasses as the 20 euro’s get me enough exp to get all the cards i need to play anything i want and the gold for the minisets.
It has been seven years of game fun without breaking my wallet. It’s the only (pc or mobile) game I play anyway.
(Playoffs Live Now!) Grandmasters 2022 Season 1 Announced - Starting This Week With New Experimental Format and YouTube Drops
I watchedthe starts of each region and it seems that each region got different buckets to choose from?
That might be interesting to know and ask why they choose which in interviews.
Also, i might be mistaken but apart from the buckets people actually play, they don’t seem to say which 5 they were offered?
I like that they try to mix meta’s up, but this format feels a bet too artificial for my taste.
Then again, i did like the idea of Specialist format, hoping that it would provide the incentives to be original while instead everyone brought the one best deck and you saw only mirrors.
Ps. I am getting packs and quickly. So maybe double check the link between yt and battlenet of you don’t.

History of Class And Archetype Popularity Since Whispers Of The Old Gods (Official Data)
Very interesting. I would love to see more data like that from blizz. I think most of the data are quite accurate. I remember most outliers in popularity.
I mist say that the druid presence felt that oppressive at the time. Maybe because it wasn’t as prevalent at the ranks I played on at the time. Maybe because the druid decks were so different to play against (token agg and jade).
I must say that i felt at the time that Shamanstone felt much more oppressive than apparent here… maybe because both aggro and midrange had 80% the same cards. Maybe because it stretched over 2 expansions. Maybe because the nerfs to pirates, spirit claws etc… warped the date?
Tavern Brawl - Fairytale Brawl
Looking at the bright side, if it wasn’t for this frustrating experience, I would never have known how my friends frel when they spectate my ladder games for a pack.
"Welcome to Mercenaries" - Short Video Guide For The New Game Mode Released
Is there any news on the possible strain on performance for mobile users?
Since they’re cramming this all (again) intonthe same client I am quite worried.
I play HS out of nostalgia for MtG, and lik it as a cheap (yes compared to Mtg Hs is cheap) alternative. So I don’t care for other kinds of games like autobattlers or gacha sinks.
I notice that the card game is getting more and more laggy, and I get many crahes lately. Did they communicate on improving performance?
Why Is Shaman so Bad Now and What Should Be Done About It? - Shaman Decks With The Biggest Chance of Success
I think the main problem with Shaman is the hero power which is just too random in its variance.
Overload isn’t as bad a mechanic as ofthe said. Or not per se at least. Paying mana the turn after for powerful effects isn’t bad at all. It is just reverse ramping and the succes of shaman in Classic format proves this.
The problem is that this mechanism only works if it is unique to shaman (and druid for normal ramp). If the average mana cost of all cards get smaller all the time due to power creep, overload just isn’t worth it anymore. Especially if all other classes get (better) ways to cheat mana as well.
How Good Are the New Battle-Ready Hearthstone Decks? Which Ones You Should Pick Based on Power and Value?
Thanks!
Too bad. I would love yo have an illidari inquisitor or taelin in wild after/if ithey rotate next year.
How Good Are the New Battle-Ready Hearthstone Decks? Which Ones You Should Pick Based on Power and Value?
Any idea if you purchase a deck that includes core cards, will those cards be added tou your permanent collection and stay there after rotation (to be playable in wild)?
20.2 Patch Notes - Quilboars & 3 New Heroes in Battlegrounds, Duels Humble Blessings Nerf, New Hero Skins, Diamond Ragnaros And More - May 4
You wouldn’t have to craft the special ones (gelbin and etc) but you have to craft gruul etc
20.2 Patch Notes - Quilboars & 3 New Heroes in Battlegrounds, Duels Humble Blessings Nerf, New Hero Skins, Diamond Ragnaros And More - May 4
I assume you just have to click it again.
I am wondering though for my case, i have the achievement but disenchanted Edwin after nerf. Would I have to recraft him or does the fact that I have the achievement suffice?
Known Issues & Things to Remember - Patch 20.0
I still have 3-4 crashes per day. Always during game. And I am playing mill druid in Classic mode so losing 1 or two turns while restarting is losing the game.
Best Hearthstone Classic Decks For Every Class To Try Out On The Ladder
At first i thought this would just be some gimmicky format, but I love love love it.
The absence of rng is so refreshing and it is so great to play the decks i really wanted to play back then but couldn’t because i didnt have the necessary cards. Questing just isnt an edwin and boulderfist orc just isnt Rag. This is going to be my favourite format for a while, definitely.
Known Issues & Things to Remember - Patch 20.0
Talking about issues, am I the only mobile user who has a lot of crashes warranting a restart lately?
Druid, Mage & Hunter Rotating Cards Nerf Reverts Announced + Changes to Wyrm Weaver
Omg, RIP whizzbang. The power spike to wild and the power drop in standard will make my dearest golden gnome even more underpowered… amazing tears
Dean "Iksar" Ayala's Twitter Q&A - March 3, 2021 - Roundup of All Answers - Guilds/Clans, Pre-Release Events, High Legend Rewards, Charge, Official Deck Tracker, Hearthstone VR
I agree. Deck trackers are not the business of the game devs. If people want to build them and use them, their choice, but they are an accepted form of cheating. I play mobile, so i am always on the backfoot, not only because pc players have better performing machines allowing for 10x more apm, but also because I actually have to spend turn time thinking of the cards played, secrets to play around, counting lethal,… instead of just checking a list or a counter on the screen…
I am not totally against them. They are really good for streamers, cuz they have a chat and other data to check while playing.
And they help to lower the skill cap of difficult decks, giving them more time to shine and make them more accessible to players who might otherwise not play them.
Core Set Wishes and Predictions: What Cards Would You Want to See in the Core Set?
Thanks for using the word weenie.
I feel so old when I am the only one using it amongst my HS group.
Sad for removal Maly.
Hoping for comeback Loateb and brann bronzebeard and some priest dragons.
Forged in the Barrens Card List & Expansion Guide! Release Date, Card Reveals, Pre-Purchase Info, New Mechanics and More!
Any Idea on the cost of the reward track pass? I am 169 right now and have 11000 gold without getting it but with the big bundle last expansion. i kind of feel like i might get the same pay off with the xp boost but without buying a bundle
Upcoming Expansion (?) Teaser - "Quill You Be Ready?"
Really hoping they’ll make a season long story arc again. I think that’s much more immersive and may provide better glue for solo content, mini sets and new game mode even.
Maybe something like the league explores the Horde-> the Alliance-> and gets caught in a war between the two in the third expansion?
Stand alone expansions have far from as much atmosphere.
Man this would’ve been cool if it were a secret.
